Chapter 26

Carlos went to his room since at Camila's apartment be had one now aswell.

The bell rang.

Opening the door Camila recognized the little figure immediately.

"Hey Kevin.. Come inside, he's in his room." Always when Carlos was here he would come to play. Because Kevin lived in this neighborhood.

Kevin immediately ran to Carlos his room and she heard the two giggle before the door closed again. She was happy her son had good friends.

"Are you gonna tell me what that was about, with your wife? Or I don't even know what she is.." Emma said stepping into the living room where Camila just sat on the couch.

"Lauren is.. she is having a hard time letting go of me.. The truth is, we aren't divorced.. But however we are broken up. We just didn't want to do all that paper work and you know.. who gets custody of Carlos and all that crap.. So we decided to do it like this.. I just didn't know she would explode.." Camila hesitantly explained.

"What did you say to her? Because I've been cleaning this house for the past half hour.. Everything was shattered to pieces." Emma said as she stood in front of Camila. Arms crossed.

"I said that I didn't want her anymore and she has to move on with her life.. I then told her I gave you her wedding ring and she flipped." Camila lied the first part.

"I told you I didn't want to wear her wedding ring because I respect that it was something of the two of you.. You insisted me to wear it so I did.. for you." Emma softly said as she sat on the couch next to Camila and rubbed her arm.

"I know. It's okay if you want to take it off.."

And Emma did. She didn't want to wear a ring that belonged to someone else. It was kinda disrespectful. She placed the ring in Camila's hand and closed it.

"So does it bother you.." Emma was talking about the fight.

Camila nodded. "Yeah.. I mean I never wanted to hurt her like that. I just.. I want to move on with my life and I'm
sorry if she doesn't want that. But we broke up for a reason.." Emma soothingly rubbed Camila's back.

"I know, you guys had a lot of history.. You have a child together. It's okay. Do you still love her?" She was afraid of Camila's answer.

"I think I always will.."

But she understood Camila's answer and she didn't care. Right now Camila was hers.

"What's this?" She pointed to the tickets that were next to Camila on the couch.

"Disney world?" She said as she held them in front of her.

"It's not mine.. They fell out of Lauren's purse.." Camila quickly said. She felt so sad.

"Oh.. she wanted to go with you guys on this trip.." Even Emma felt so sorry for Lauren right now. She didn't really know the woman. Well, just the shouting and rude comments to her.

"I should give them to someone else.." Camila said as she took the tickets back.

After this they spent their weekend normally and no one mentioned Lauren.

Lauren knocked on Camila's door. She was here just to give Camila some papers she had to sign for Carlos. At school there was this new thing for kids and all parents had to sign it.

"Hi." Camila greeted happily. She was still in love with Lauren. She didn't know about the other woman though..

"Hi." She said firmly and Camila let her in.
