A happy ending?

"Hey!" I say letting Damon, Stefan, and Bonnie into the house.

"Caroline!" Bonnie says exclaims me a big hug. "I've missed you so much!" I hug her back and we scream into eachothers' ears.

"Well, what have we here?" Klaus says walking into the room.

"Klaus... ." Stefan says reaching his hand out to greet him. "Nice to see you again."

"The feeling is mutual, would you like to drink something. Or do you prefer standing here?" He asked them. Soon enough we were all sitting in the living room, drinking by the fire.

"So, any news with finding some witches?" I ask. All three look down.

"No. We find leads, but each one leads us to a dead end." Stefan says sipping on some Bourbon.

"We have tried everything, there is no way to break the curse without us dying." Bonnie says.

"Yeah, and as much as I like the idea of SOMEONE dying, I prefer it not to be my friend and my girlfriend." Damon says leaning against the doorway. We all turn to him.

"What about the heretics?" I say. "Isn't one of them in love with Stefan?" I ask turning to Stefan.

"Yeah, but even she isn't powerful enough. And again, it slowly kills Bonnie and Elena." Stefan says.

"So there is no way to get you two to actually live in the same decade again?" I ask, looking for some kind of loophole. "That's it!" I exclaim, they all look at me weirdly.

"A loophole!" I say. "There is always a loophole in a spell. And Kai is dead." I stand up and look at all of them. "That means we have some way to break the spell!" I say. They all look at eachother as if thinking, 'Why didn't WE come up with that?'.

"But, that's the point. Kai is dead... ." I cut Bonnie off.

"And you can TALK to the dead!" I say exited. "We can contact the ghost of Kai." I say walking back and forth between the couch and the burning fire place. I see blank stares and my hopes subside a bit. "We can only try." I say.

"There is one problem blondie." Damon says. "The other side has colapsed. If we ever had a chance to talk to that lunatic, they are lost now." He says walking towards me and sitting down on Klaus's chair.

"Maybe we can rebuild it." Bonnie says. Stefan and Damon share glances. "The problem is, it will take years to actually recreate the other side." She says standing up.

"How long?" I ask.

"I don't know." She says. "I just don' know."

EIGHT YEARS LATER

I woke up to my phone ringing. I adjust and move out of Klaus's tight grip. Then I reach for my phone from the nightstand.

'Hello?' I answer.

'I did it Care, I built back the other side.' I hear Bonnie's voice over the phone.

'What?' I sit up and rub my eyes and see the streets of New Orleans through my window.

'What you heard. Grab your strongest witches and come to Mystic Falls. We are going to get our friend back!' I hear her exitement over the phone. I hear Klaus wake up. He gives me a kiss and wraps his arms around me and rests his chinf on my choulder.

'Ok, We will leave tomorrow morning.' I say and hang up the phone.

"Where are we going tomorrow?" Klaus asks, getting up and heading into the shower.

"Mystic Falls." I say exited, and jumping off of the bed. "Call a meeting for this afternoon. Hayley, Elijah, Kol... everyone! We need as much help as possible." I say kissing him and going to the kitchen.

"So you want me to use my talents to bring back your friend?" Kol asks taking a sip of Scotch.

"No... I want you to use your magic. And I have someone else I am going to ask to come. So is it clear? Oh and, asks Stephanie and Tommy to come too." I say. I see Klaus and Kol smirk at eachother, but I say nothing.

After the meeting everyone leaves, exept for Klaus. He comes and wraps his arms around my waist. A smile so wide on my face it was incredible.

"I am so happy." I say.

"I am glad." He responds and kisses me.

We were so into our makeout session, I jumped when I heard the front gate crash against the walls.

"Klaus!" Someone shouted. Klaus sighs and gives me a peck on the lips.

"That's my cue. Prepare everything, we'll leave tomorrow morning." He says, vamp speeding to the one who was screaming.

I sigh and smile. We are going to get Elena back. Bonnie will be able to be with Elena and I all at once. We will finally be together again. Happily, I went to my room to prepare things.

A/N

I know it was a short chapter, but there is sequel I am going to post tomorrow, or today. You never know. Thank you all so much for the love and support! The sequel to this will be called, 'Why It's You.' And it is more of a Kol Mikaelson story with a new character I created. But, there will be Caroline points of views. Thank you all again.
