Today , I decided to go to the little party Karen was throwing. I didn't want to go but Mya persuaded me that it would be good for Jordan. The lady told me to dress fancy but , I only dress fancy when I need something important done or when it's a special occasion. This is not a special occasion. More like a meet and greet. What would I even say to those people ? Oh yes, he knocked me up and left when I was pregnant. Father of the year? Hell No. He LEFT. Me and his child ! Every time I think about this I ask myself , what am I getting into ?

But you know me , the girl who keeps making stupid decisions . Typical Tori Jay. I drove to the location Karen gave me and it looked more so of a regular party. The wind was blowing kind of hard and I made sure that Jordan's coat was buttoned. I went inside the backyard and everybody was staring at us. Karen smiled big and her lips throbbed as if she was going to cry. I held Jordan's hand and he squeezed mine back tightly. Josiah's family kept staring and it was odd because nobody broke the silence.

Karen eventually spoke and introduced Jordan and I to everyone. Everybody there wasn't really dressed fancy. They were very casual. Some people even came up to us and introduced themselves. I wasn't really here for them , though. I was here for Karen and Jordan. I didn't see Josiah anywhere. It was getting dark and I was honestly ready to go home. Some people left but I sat at the table with Jordan alone. Karen warned us that they would be dropping Josiah off soon. So I waited. And waited. And waited.

But then all the waiting stopped because he showed up. Back into my life. "He's here , everyone !" Karen smiled , welcoming Josiah inside. He looked the same . He still had that same smile and he grew a little. His facial hair had grew in and he looked like a new person. But how would I know if he was a new person just by the looks of his appearance? They say to not judge a person by it's looks. He could be the same person that left me when I was in high school.

Pregnant.

I would've kept thinking and making myself upset but Josiah decided to interrupt my thoughts . I looked up at him with a blank face. "Tori... " He said quietly.

"Josiah. "

"Long time no see. " He said. I nodded with a blank face and held Jordan on my hip .

"This is..."

"Jordan. " I told him , " YOUR SON. " I blurted out. Just so he can remember that he left his child and I.

"Hey Jordan... How you doing , buddy?" Josiah smiled , holding his hands out to pick up Jordan.

But Jordan pulled back and laid his head on my shoulder.

"He's not a people's person. You have to wait for him to open up... " I told him.

" I see... " Josiah replied looking hurt.

"It's just going to take some time. " He added and I nodded.

That night was honestly just boring. I couldn't wait to leave . I hated hearing about how much Karen missed Josiah and how many accomplishments he's had. Was one of his accomplishments leaving his child?

Didn't think so.

Jordan was falling asleep and half the people there were drunk . So I decided to leave. I grabbed all of my things and said goodbye to everyone except for Josiah. Even though he was sitting right next to me filled with thoughts but not one thing came out his mouth.

"Tori , wait !" Josiah shouted , running after me.

"I--I'm sorry. I'm just kind of lost . Maybe we could talk... Not around all my family. " He said.

I fake smiled. "Brilliant idea , Josiah."

"How's tomorrow morning?" He asked.

" I work that morning. "

"Oh.. Oh okay. What about dinner ? --We can go for dinner -- and-- and you can bring Jordan--I'll pay . For everything . "

I nodded. "Sounds perfect. Jordan likes Chuck E. Cheese. " I told him , got into my car and drove off. I decided to call Mya and tell her everything cause I for sure wasn't into all that.

"Mya . Tell me why Josiah thought Jordan was going to leap into his arms saying , 'Dadddddddy. ' " I laughed. Mya giggled , " Jordan barely likes anybody. "

"That's what I said !"

" Other than that , how did it go ? Did he fine anyway to bond with Jordan ?" Mya asked.

"He was very quiet. He didn't say much , I guess he was nervous but he wants to take Jordan and I to dinner tomorrow so we'll see how that goes. " I told her.

"Well. Good luck to ya. I have to put Raelyn to bed , I'll see you in the morning , Tori. Goodnight , Bih. "
