3rd Person POV
"..."
"Uh, Trevor? What exactly are you not getting?" Demeter asked slowly.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Trevor said.
"Are you serious? None of you heroes even know about the Hades Prophecy. This is getting really sad," Demeter sighed.
"Well, you'll have to explain."
"I can't tell you everything, I can't be sure you're not going to go after NIco and tell him all the juicy details. But I will tell you this: the Hades Prophecy counts on Nico to make the right choice. He's going to fall in love with Pandora and she's going to betray him. The more he knows about the prophecy, the more equipped he'll be. I can't let that happen. One wrong move and he locks the in and out gateway to Hell forever. Souls of the dead will never find their way down here. We cannot let the prophecy come true," Demeter hissed.
"So what you mean is, if Nico falls in love with Pandora, we'll all be trapped down here?" Trevor raised an eyebrow.
"That's exactly what I mean. So if he tries to find her we'll have to kill her. It is her betrayal that will ruin everything Persephone and I have worked for."
"No, I'm pretty sure you'll be stuck here forever and never be able to go to Paris for another shopping trip," The boy sighed.
"That...as well as our Earth will slowly crumble away. With so many dead souls wandering the Earth, eventually all our planet will be inhabited by dead souls," Demeter was very, very serious now.
Trevor stared at the crumpled body of the girl he cared so much for. She was going to cause the downfall of Earth. Her betrayal. She'd have to be killed to be stopped. He didn't know if he could do it. If he could live through his best friend being hurt.
They'd grown up together, always. Since they were both six years old, they'd met at an orphanage. Both had been abandoned by their parents. They had been each others best friends for more than 8 years and now he had to make a choice.
Let Pandora go and keep the gate working.
Or keep her alive and let her betrayal ruin the world.
"I..."
"Trust me, son, it is a difficult decision and one you will have to make for yourself. You are part of this prophecy just as much as Nico is. It is your choice that will cause the prophecy to begin. I'll give you some time to think."
And then Trevor was left alone in the foreign room, staring silently at Pandy. She stirred and he rushed to her side. Slowly he lifted her upper torso onto his lap, resting the weight of her head against his arm. He'd get her out of this alive. Some how.
Even if it killed him.

Nico's POV
"Well then," I sighed."We're in a sticky one," Percy grumbled.
Boy were we ever. It was a very, very sticky situation if I must say so myself.
At the moment we were knees deep in a swampy sand, sticking to our clothes. Amazing what letting our guard down had done to us. I scowled trying to move my slowly sinking legs. We hadn't even noticed we were being caught until the sand had gotten into our runners. How gross is sand in your shoes? Really gross.
"What are we going to do now? And what about Pandora?" I moaned. My plan was going bad...how had they trusted me enough to give me leadership of this quest?
I figured after this quest it would be the last one I'd ever be in.
"Pandora will be fine. Nico, you know you've been talking a lot about Pandora lately," Percy said, a hint of caution in his voice.
My jaw dropped. I had so not. Okay, so I was a little worried about her. What was wrong with that? I couldn't say anything for a while. I couldn't tell Percy that I had changed my opinion and maybe she wasn't as annoying as she used to be. I couldn't tell him that I had new found respect for that little...girl.
For God's sake I liked her.
"Percy," I took a deep breath, "...Pandora's the girl in the prophecy."

Trevor was sick and tired. His hair hung in damp curls, framing his pale face. For the first time in his entire life pretty boy was...well...ugly. Well, not really. As ugly as a person of his beauty could get. So like Beyonce wearing sweatpants.
He sat in the center of the stone room, guarding the sleeping girl in his lap. Demeter had returned with a potion for her to drink - it would cause her to fall into a deep sleep as if in a coma. He was scared Pandy would never wake up.
He had to do something. Trevor's mind raced. The world was going to collapse eventually and overheat from the sun. What else could he do but save an innocent girl and maybe speed up the process?
Trevor put his head down and pulled the body closer. A tear leaked out of the corner of his eye. It was all going to be over, very soon.

"Omigod. Omigod. Omigod we're going to die," I panicked. I couldn't breathe, sand was choking me alive.
We were up to our heads now and i strugged for air, the sand was crushing us to death. I was Nico, child of Hades the commander of death and I was going to die the stupidest death in the world. As you could imagine, I was thrilled.
Ah yes, Son of Hades choked to death on sand. What a smashing headline.
"Nico!" Percy shouted all of a sudden.
"What's up, my man?" I asked.
"I'm ridiculously stupid. This sand has a bit of water in it!"
"Oh Gods, do something!"
I stared at Percy's face. He was concentrating something hard, his forehead scrunched up, his eyes in slits...he looked dangerous. If looks could kill he'd be a murderer and I'd be a homicide victim. That was how freaking cool he looked.
And sand exploded around us.
I squinted my eyes against the howling sand and concentrated on writhing my body to rid it from the painful sand. It stripped off me in waves.
"Yes!" I pumped my fist in the air.
And then we were falling through nothing.
There was no floor.

Trevor heard a loud 'yes' echo across the building. It sounded like...Nico. He swallowed, his dry throat burned with thirst.
He slid Pandy's body down and went to the door.
It was time.
