Well.
My first thought after I heard Chiron's words was not: Oh my god I'm in danger!
It was more like: Wait. Pretty boy isn't Aphrodite's child?
But then it really sunk in and I realized that I was going to be the one who died (probably). Trevor was coming for me because my dad had stolen Demeter's daughter. I'm guessing he wanted revenge.
"Trevor thinks you have a golden bell," Percy said as he swiped a hand through the rainbow, vanishing Chiron.
"Yeah," I said, "he's going to come and steal it, isn't he? But I don't have it."
"He's going to kill us. Well. Not really. He hasn't done any camp training yet. I wonder why he thinks he'll be able to take us both out," Percy said puzzled.
"Wait, Percy. He's coming closer to us and we still haven't reached a mountain or gotten a golden bell. They said we'd have three clues but it'd cost a life. He must realize that one of us will sacrafice ourselves. He thinks one of us will be out of his way!"
"We have to find the Golden bell, that's for sure," Percy's eyes hardened. "It'll come with the clues to find the next two. But...the sacrafice..."
"Pandora," i barked. She came scampering towards us, her eyes filled with concern.
"Trevor's after us. We have to go," I said.
"Wait what?"
"Son of Demeter," I explained, "really hates my dad because he stole her daughter. Trevor wants revenge on me, even after I called that idiot hot."
"You called Trevor hot?" Percy gave me a weird look.
"Forget I said anything," I mumbled.
"Um, ok."
"Where are we going to find mountains in Hell?" Pandora asked, running to keep up with our long strides.
"There are no mountains in hell," I shrugged.
"Then how are we supposed to find a mouontain in hell when there are no mountains in hell?" Pandora yelled.
"Wow you really remind me of Annabeth. How about shutting up?" I snapped.
"Pandora, let the man do his work. He knows the place better than I do," Percy said gently.
I wanted to kill both of them. They were very annoying. Percy being all stoic and manly. and Pandora being all whiny. Geez, could they shut up so I could think of a solution.
"Percy, what's a mountain?" I asked quickly.
"Um a high thing?"
"High thing..." I murmured.
Something came to mind. High thing... If there were no mountains in Hell, the highest thing building or place would have to be where the bell was.
"Where's the highest place in Hell?"
Percy got where I was going, "Hades' castle!"
"Are you kidding, we can't just go to Hades' castle!" Pandora said, horrified.
"Scared?" I mocked. "Not a problem. We can just leave you here to all the scary monsters."
"Nico..."
"Look I need to talk to my dad. You know why," I ignored Percy's warning tone.
This was now my quest and Pandora could kiss my demi-god butt. As we manouvered through the green slime filled hall I realized where we were. The dungeons, where the living who accidentally strayed into Hell lived. Well. They didn't really live. They just kept them in the dungeons without food or water til they died. Ouch.
