We made it back to camp with no further disruptions. Pandora was still a little sickly from her meeting with Ares. All of us were quite quiet, each locked in our own theories and questions. I knew 3 things so far, 1) Pandora was a daughter of Ares, the pig, 2) we were going to have to go on a quest with Percy, Pandora and I, and 3) something was going to happen.

The third one was pretty obvious.

Anyway when we finally got to camp I was stained with blood, scratches and dirt and so was everyone else. Trevor, of course kept his pretty-boy looks somehow by making sure not a hair was out of place. I was pretty sure he was a Son of Aphrodite. Just not the usual obnoxious ones. Trevor was actually kind of observant and he never failed to surprise me with a deep comment.

As we stepped through the gateway into camp I saw Thalia rushing towards us, her silvery strands of hair and dark gothic make up shining in the sun. I was surprised to see her. Normally she was with her fellow Hunters. You know, the group of boy hating girl scouts who got my sister killed.

"Hi Percy, Nico, Annabeth and other newbies," she said.

Pandora seemed to be amazed by the eerie glow that outlined Thalia's body. That was her immortality. She gained it when she joined the Hunters. Lucky her, she wouldn't age. Of course, it was still possible to murder Thalia in combat, but I wouldn't try if I were you.

"Anything new happen while I was gone?" I asked her as we continued walking to the head house.

Thalia eyed me cooly. "You were gone for a long time, DiAngelo. What do you want to know?"

Let me explain. I'm a son of Hades. I don't have my own cabin at Half-Blood Hill so I normally come and go as I please. Think of me as a Jack of all trades. I just help the occasional mission like finding Half-Bloods and stuff like that.

"Any new demi-gods, weapons?" I asked her.

"Hmm," Thalia said thinking. "As a matter of fact, while you guys were out chasing these lame-asses," Thalia gave Trevor and Pandora a once over, "Alan managed to pick up another demi-god. We're not sure of her parentage yet, but I expect it's something powerful."

"Wow," Percy breathed, "Three new demi-gods in like a month. That's pretty good."

"Yeah, but I hope you guys have discovered what parentage these two are in. The Hermes cabin is getting a little too big for it's britches."

"That one's a Daughter of Ares," Annabeth finally spoke up, pointing at Pandora.

"Ares, eh?" Thalia asked as she stared. She shook her head, "I'm happy they don't share their looks."

"Me too," I said truthfully.

"Um, can someone please explain to us whatever the hell this place is?" Pandora said shakily.

"This is Camp Half-Blood. The fuck, Nico, you didn't tell her?" Thalia scowled at me.

"I told them about the Gods? And the fact that is a camp for half bloods?" I tried hopefully.

"No shit!" Thalia took over my lame explanation. "This is where half-bloods come to train and get ready for tough lives outside of here. It's a summer camp, mostly, but some people are year rounders like Annabeth. She has no friends outside of here."

"Thanks for the great introduction," Annabeth said drily.

"So monsters can't come in here?" Trevor asked.

Thalia turned her gaze to him, "Pretty much."

"See, Pandy, we're totally safe," Trevor whispered into Pandora's ear.

"Anyway, why don't you two go get settled in?" Thalia said before turning her back on us.

"Ares cabin over there," Percy pointed before heading back to his own cabin to clean up.

Annabeth nodded a good bye before she took off to her own cabin.

"Where's the Hermes cabin..." Trevor's voice trailed off. He looked down at the ground. Pandora was already at her cabin.

Trevor looked dejected. Like he was in a music video where he ddin't end up with the girl. But still looked better than I could ever look. I felt a little sorry for him, Percy and Annabeth both had ignored him like Pandora was the more important one (which she kind of was), but still, Trevor didn't deserve the she's-a-celebrity-you're-not feeling.

"Um, if you want I'll lead you to it." I muttered.

"Thanks."

I awkwardly lead him to the Hermes cabin. The boys and girls inside were going wild in there. It sounded like their usual shit they did.

"Wait, don't go," Trevor said quietly as I turned to leave.

"What? I can't go in there. They don't like me. Well nobody does," I grinned.

"You seem ok. Besides if they don't like it they can just fuck it."

"I like the way you think."

"Are you always treated this way?" He asked hesitantly.

"What?" I opened my eyes wider.

"Everyone," Trevor gestures, "They treat you like you don't belong. I saw it in Thalia's eyes. And when we walked over here a lot of people were looking."

I thought about that for a second. That was true. I most definitely didn't belong here and the kids here definitely reminded me of that.

"Yeah, well, I'm death. I can't exactly be parading around," I tried to joke, but my stare at the ground caught his attention.

"I don't think you're death. You're pretty cool," Trevor says, "i mean you are death but you are a really cool death. Do you dig?"

"Thanks, I guess," I say, surprised. I had thought Trevor hated me. I guess he didn't.

"Yeah..."

"You okay?" I asked him. He still looked sad.

"I'm kind of scared, actually. Pandora and I have known each other for a while. We're best friends. I suppose I'm afraid she'll meet all these new people here, and I'll just be left alone," Trevor kicked the ground.

"Dude, I'm pretty sure she's not going to ditch you. I mean um, mind the girl language, but you are kind of hot."

Oh no, the biggest awkward moment in the history of awkwardest moment. Or, gayest moments. I'd just told a fellow man that he was hot.

"You think so?" He brightened up.

So he hadn't taken it the wrong way.

"Yeah man."

"Thanks Nico."

And we parted ways happily and awkwardly.

Yup, that was pretty awkward.
