It looked rather cute, actually. Jameson was facing the side of the door, still clothed, looking as if he fell asleep midway through sitting up. He twitched slightly in his sleep and I smiled at the small movement.

I quietly backed away from the door and left our room, trying to shut the door as silently as I could. I checked my phone for the time, seeing immediately that it was nearing one in the afternoon. I smiled and quickly hurried down the silent corridors.

The real chatter started when I got closer to the hall, around where Cassie's and Avery's dorms were located. I shimmied my way past people and walked into the cafeteria, grabbing a plate and filling it sky high with food. Not a name pun.

I picked up two bottles of water, some sausages, bacon, toast and baked beans for some brunch; I'm hungry, okay? I also pinched the last slice of red velvet cake, much to the dismay of a girl who was next in line to me.

"Hungry?" A voice murmured into my ear from behind and I jumped, nearly dropping my precious food. God only knows how I manage to carry all this. I spun around to give a death glare to the person who had surprised me, to find out that it was Toby.

I rolled my eyes, "I had no breakfast." I told him with a note of dismissal and walked off towards the lounge with Toby trailing behind me.

"Yeah, I heard about what happened." I heard him say as I looked for a seat. I saw that the table in the corner was free and so began to stride over towards it.

"We all did." Toby reworded as we reached the table. I took a seat and Toby did the same—opposite me. I mentally slapped myself; I forgot the cutlery!

Toby, seeing my reaction, seemed to smirk. I glared at him and he laughed.

"You forgot something?" He asked and held out his hand on the table. Toby was holding a knife and a fork. What a sneak.

I grabbed them before he took them away and awkwardly thanked him. Toby cleared his throat and I looked up, finding him to look a little flustered himself.

"So.." He trailed off and I rolled my eyes as I cut a sausage. "How are you?" Toby continued to ask me and my knife scraped against the plate as I slipped in surprise. So we're at this stage of the game?

Seeing my startled moment, Toby immediately intervened.

"I heard what happened, remember?" He paused, "We all heard what happened." He corrected and I looked up at him, a frown slithered in my features between my brows.

"And what did happen? What did they tell you?" I asked him curiously, abandoning my lunch to lean in, eager to learn the answers to my questions.

"Just that there was an attack on the school, security breached and all. They were pretty vague about it." Toby explained and I nodded, returning to my food.

"Wait," I returned my attention back to Toby and cocked my head to the side.

"How did you know I was included in this anyway?" I asked him, waving my fork around as I spoke.

"I'm perceptive." He leaned in, a smirk on his lips. I rolled my eyes at his ego and raised an eyebrow, expecting the truth.
