Chapter 7

2 Weeks Later~

"SOPHIE!" Fitz yelled, running up to me. Keefe, who was with me, took a step back as Fitz neared us.

"That's some major panic. I don't even need to touch him to feel it!" Keefe said, surprised. My eyes widened in panic as well. 

"What's wrong Fitz?" I asked.

"Keefe's......mom.....escaped.......and is rallying the ogres.....to fight us......and....and Lady Cadence.......is part of.....the Neverseen." Fitz said, out of breath.  I reached out and grabbed Keefe's hand.

Ogres are in position right now. Attack is happening soon. Fitz added in my mind. My grip tightened on Keefe's hand, my panic increasing immensely. 

I need to go help.  I transmitted back.

Sophie, no. We have orders to hide in the Sanctuary.

WHILE OTHERS DIE, FITZ? We're not going to win this war without casualties.

Sophie, they're only trying to protect you! 

Silveny. Silveny! SILVENY! I transmitted to Fitz rapidly.

What about her?

SHE HAS TO BE SAFE. 

SAFE! Silveny projected loudly into my mind.

"Silveny. She's near me." I murmured. Just then a nicker came from behind me. I turned around and saw Silveny with Greyfell right behind me, Celestia not here. SIlveny sent me a picture of Celestia in the Sanctuary. 

"What are you doing here?" I murmured, stroking the alicorn's snout fondly. 

HELP! Silveny said.

Fight? I transmitted back.

Fight. Greyfell confirmed, sending me an image of them kicking ogres.

"No. It's too dangerous for you guys." I murmured outloud. 

Silveny sent me an image of them in armor.

"We don't have time to make you guys armor!" I said. 

"I'll hide in the sanctuary if you will too." I said to the alicorns. They whinnied in response. I climbed on Silveny's back and Keefe did as well, Fitz climbing on Greyfell. 

BIANA! I transmitted to Fitz. 

And dex! Fitz added.

How could I forget him too! I saw the two come running at us and I grabbed Dex and pulled him onto Silveny as Biana scrambled onto Greyfell. The two alicorns took off and teleported to the sanctuary, galloping into the safety of the mountain and the huge stone doors closed snugly. A small alicorn came running up to us and I knelt down and greeted the foal. I saw Edaline come running up to me as well.

"Mom! Where's Dad?" I exclaimed.

"He's going to fight." She murmured.

"I hope he comes back."

"I do too. I do too."

"Is Alden fighting?"

"He is. Kesler is as well. Elwin's on standby. Everybody is fighting. We thought it best to have some people here to take care of the kids. So me, Della and Juline are with you guys."

"Are the other kids from Foxfire coming here?" Biana asked. 

"I don't know." Edaline admitted. I saw Della walk up and pull her two kids into a hug, Juline doing the same to Dex. Keefe looked a little left out, so I pulled him into me and Edaline's hug. 

"We're ready to fight if the need comes." Edaline whispered to me, showing me the various weapons hidden in her clothes. 

"And so am I." I said. Edaline's imparter rang, and she picked it up, since it was Grady calling.

"Oh good. You're both safe." Grady said, clearly relieved.

"Stay safe Dad. I can't lose you!" I said.

"I'll try my best to stay safe, Soph. It looks like the Ogres are getting ready to attack. I've got to go now. Love you both." 

"Love you too!" Me and Edaline said at the same time, before Grady hung up.

1 Day later~

"Mom....Mom is the battle still going on?" Biana asked. We were the only ones in the sanctuary. The other prodigies never showed up. 

"It is, Biana." Della answered. I was curled in a ball looking at a photo of me, Edaline and Grady together, grooming Verdi, the resident T-Rex. Even Keefe didn't try and comfort me. I was too worried about Grady. I've had to deal with losing one dad, I can't lose him. The doors to the sanctuary opened slightly, and I hopped up, Edaline reaching for the weapons in her clothes. I noticed that it wasn't an enemy, but Grady. 

"DAD!" I yelled, running up to him and hugging him. He laughed and wrapped his arms around me. 

"Hey, Soph." Grady said. 

"I'm sooooo glad your safe." 

"So am I." Fitz glanced at me and Grady's reunion, and Grady noticed.

"Alden's coming soon, Fitz and Biana. The battle's slowing down. Not without casualties though. But we're winning." Grady said. Alden entered the sanctuary, and his family ran up to him and engulfed him in a hug. Somebody entered the sanctuary, and it wasn't any friend. It was Lady Cadence. I glared at her as we all slowly stood up and all the Mom's got their concealed weapons out. Lady Cadence pulled out multiple melders and pointed them at me.

"Now, we wouldn't want five melders to be shot at Sophie, would we now? So how about you put down your weapons and give me all three alicorns." Lady Cadence said. She seemed to be forgetting that the weapons weren't all physical. I thought of everything that pained me, and sent it towards her, making her collapse in pain. Alden took control and handcuffed her-where he got the handcuffs, I'm not sure. He then moved the melders well out of her reach.

"You seemed to forget something. I'm an inflictor. And if me or my loved ones are in danger then I am not afraid to use it on anybody." I said to my old mentor. Edaline placed her hand on one of my shoulders and Grady placed his hand on my other shoulder comfortingly. I turned around and walked away from her, walking up to Keefe and falling into him. He wrapped his arms around me comfortingly, pressing a kiss to the top of my head. 

GUYS, this chapter is sooooo short..... SORRYYYYY!!!!!!! LOVE ALL OF YOU AND THIS IS DEDICATED TO EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU LOVELY PEOPLE. HHmmmmm......I wanna name you guys. Suggestions? Like a group name...like in a book that I like the author calls her readers floppy dishtowels.........Don't ask me why. Hope you enjoyed the short chapter.
