Chapter: 13

Clair's P.O.V :

I stared up in confusion.

"What are you talking about?" I asked, he tilted his head to the side.

"Your mate is awake." He said slowly, I shook my head.

"No, he died!" I exclaimed. Nick widen his eyes, "What the hell are you talking about!" He said as he looked at me as if I was mental.

"Nate. Died."  I said

"NATE ISN'T DEAD!"  I open my mouth to speak but he cut me off.

"HE NEVER DIED!!"  I widen my eyes.

"What do you mean?"  I asked. Nick let out a sigh and sat on the chair that was next to me. His colored eyes stared at me.

"Your mate is awake, no he didn't die, never did. He passed out when you guys were running away from Robin and Beth. The pack house nurse kicked you out of the office, then you came and took a nap"  I widen my eyes, remembering what happen. Then it hit me, I covered my mouth with my hand, feeling my eyes getting wet.

"He's not dead?" I asked, he quickly shook his head.  He stood up from his chair and grabbed my wrist

"Come on he has been calling for you." I quickly stood up and followed his footsteps.  As Nick open the door I smelt his scent, making my wolf go crazy. As I walked in the room, Nate's colored eyes met mine. As seen in the movies, I literally ran towards him and took hold of his hands. The sight of him made me frown, his skin looked pale,  there was a whole lot of wires on him and a lot of machines near him.

"How are you feeling? do you need anything?" I asked, he shook his head. I furrowed my eye brows as Nate tried to speak. I quickly snapped my head towards Nick, who stood there looking around.

"Nick, do you know whats wrong with Nate?"  He started to sway and sway

"Nick"  He glanced at me, and turned his face to the side.

"Nick, I swear to the Moon goddess if you make me leave my mates side, I will attack you." He quickly snapped his head towards me. Letting out a sigh he walked towards me, as he got near me I notice Nate trying to growl at him, my heart clenched when I saw his pained reaction. I cleared my throat and turned to talk to Nick. As I turned around, I notice that Nick saw his reaction. I say this because he gave me a sad expression, and his color eyes looked said, I cleared my throat making his eyes snap towards mine.

"Tell me whats wrong", I said as I crossed my arms over my stomach. He lets out a sigh.

"Something happened when Nate fell when you guys ran. The pack house doctor said that the cause was unknown."  I see red. That's all I see.

"How does she not know what caused this, how the hell did she get the tittle as doctor. Where the hell is she!, why isn't she telling me this herself!"  I growled. Nate let out a slight smile.

"I kinda told her to leave," he said as he scratched the back of his neck. I felt my wolf trying to take control. I took couple of breaths before my crazy ass wolf attacks my best friend.

"You what." said calmly, way too calmly, I hear Nick's heart quicken. It made my heart hurt when I notice he was scare of me. He would always hide his fear from me knowing it would break me to no end.

"I told her to go, before she was going to see the Alpha side of you"  I just nodded

"I'll deal with this later, Nick can You please leave. I just want to be alone with my mate," He quickly nodded his head.

Before he left he said,"Good night Clair, I hope he gets better," I just gave him a stiff nod. With that he closed the door. Before I turn around to see my love, I closed my eyes and took couple of breaths, if I didn't I know for a fact that I would break. Opening my eyes, I turned around just to see my mate sleeping. As I approached his hospital bed I grabbed a chair an pushed forward, making the chair sit right besides his bed. I sat down, looking at him, studying him, I broke down.
