I woke up laying across the couch with my blanket and Wyatt in my arms. Scott emerged from the kitchen holding a plate of pancakes. He smiled when he saw me.
"Oh good, you're awake." I smiled lightly at him, still feeling deeply sad. Wyatt jumped off of me and started clawing at Scott's leg, trying to snatch a pancake.
"Where's Mitch and Alex?" I asked, noticing their absence.
"Um, I think Alex is still asleep, and Mitch went to the store."  He replied, offering me a pancake.
"Not asleep!" Alex yelled from down the hall. Scott chuckled.
Suddenly, Scott jumped as his phone started buzzing in his pocket. He picked it up and answered it hesitantly, not recognizing the number. He put it on speaker.
"Hello, Scott." A deep voice spoke.
"...Who is this?" Scott asked anxiously.
"Not important. What is important, is that I have your little Mitchie." The voice hung up, and Scott had a look of pure terror on his face, all color drained from it.
"Alex, grab a coat." He called frantically. Scott ran into Mitch's bedroom and tossed me a sweater. Alex came down the hallway wearing a jacket.
"What is it?" He asked, sensing Scott's worry.
"It's Mitch. He's in trouble." Scott replied quickly, slipping on a coat and grabbing a key, heading towards the door. Fear started to claw at my insides, and I desperately hoped what happened to my mom didn't happen to Mitch too.

We ran down the streets towards the general store, bumping into various people and stopping angry drivers. Suddenly, Scott stopped dead in his tracks.
"Guys... It's Mitch." He muttered quietly. Sure enough, Mitch was heading down the street carrying two shopping bags, but he had dark sunglasses on and the hood of his sweater over his head. Scott startled Mitch as he called out his name, grabbed his arm, and frantically dragged him down the street and back to the apartment. As soon as we got back into the apartment, Scott grabbed the shopping bags from Mitch's hands, putting them on the kitchen table and squeezing him in a hug. I felt very confused, I didn't understand how Mitch was okay, and not even nervous in the slightest, even though we had just learned he had been kidnapped... But then again...  I was just glad he was alive. Scott explained what happened to Mitch, and as he was telling the story of Mitch's alleged kidnapper, Mitch's eyes slowly widened.
"...When I was at the store, this guy tried to lure me into his car.. And he was really creepy too. I ignored him though... Maybe it's just some crazy fan or something." Mitch explained nervously. This just made Scott hug him tighter, tears forming in his eyes.
"I'm just glad you're okay. I thought you were dead." He whispered. Alex started unloading the grocery bags, and his face scrunched up in confusion as he picked up a purple box with a pink ribbon next to the bags.
"What's this?" He asked Mitch.
"Oh, that's for Valerie." He smiled at me, handing me the box.
"Thank you." I said, blushing. I carefully untied the ribbon and took off I lid. I gasped at what I saw, Inside, there was a little hairless kitten, gray just like Wyatt. It was mewing quietly and licking its paw. Under it was a Pentatonix poster, signed by all of members. The cat jumped out of the box and ran over to Wyatt, sniffing him. Scott picked up both of the cats and handed me the kitten. I smiled, cuddling it.
"I hope you like it." Mitch grinned at me, and Scott grabbed Alex's hand and led him to their bedroom, closing the door behind them.
"I do. Thank you." I said.
"What do you want to call her?" Mitch asked me, stroking the cat's head. I thought for a second.
"Aphrodite." I said, making Mitch giggle.
"That's what we were going to call Wyatt if he was a girl."
I just nodded excitedly.
"Hey Valerie, do you want to get Scott and Alex and watch a movie?" He asked after a while.
"Okay." I said, running over to Scott and Alex's room and knocking on the door.
"Yes?" Scott called from inside.
"Do you guys want to come watch a movie?"
"Um... Maybe a little -" Scott started to reply, but was cut off by Alex screaming. I opened the door hesitantly, as Scott whirled his head to face Alex, who was pointing out the window with wide eyes. There was writing on the window with dark black marker that said:
"Mitchie will be mine." Scott and I gasped at the same time, and I backed up into the wall. Mitch appeared behind me, pointing at the window, trembling a little.
"What. The. Hell. Is. That?" He asked frantically.
"I don't know. Alex just noticed it." Scott said, standing up and backing towards the door.
"Let's just watch the movie." He said, pulling everyone into the living room. We all settled on the couch. I sat between Mitch and Scott again, Aphrodite jumping onto my lap. Wyatt curled up next to Mitch, and Alex picked up the remote and started scrolling through movies on Netflix. We finally agreed on the Spongebob movie, much to Mitch's approval.
Halfway through the movie, Alex stood up.
"I'm not feeling very well, I'm just going to head to the bathroom, I'll be right back." Scott stood up as well, pausing the movie and walking into the kitchen.
"Anyone hungry?" He asked, rooting through the cabinets. He pulled out a box of cupcakes and took out a chocolate one for himself.
"Chocolate, vanilla, or red velvet?" He asked, holding the box in front of Mitch and me.
"Chocolate!" Mitch yelled, eagerly holding out his hands.
"Just don't drop it this time." Scott warned playfully, handing Mitch the cupcake. Then he turned to me.
"What flavor would you like Valerie?"
"Could I please have a red velvet?" I asked nervously.
"Of course." He chuckled, handing me a cupcake as well.
