We all sat on the couch, finishing the movie and eating our cupcakes. Alex excused himself to go lay down though, saying he just needed to rest. I noticed that Wyatt seemed to be limping a little bit. I lightly tapped Mitch on the shoulder.
"Um.. Mitch, is Wyatt okay?" I asked him, a little worried. Mitch noticed Wyatt and stood up, throwing away his cupcake wrapper. He picked up Wyatt and cuddled him, petting him gently. He looked at Wyatt's front paw, and his eyes filled with concern as he noticed a large scratch along his paw and lower leg.
"Scott? We might have to take Wyatt to the vet." He said, showing Scott Wyatt's paw.
"Okay, we can walk to the vet. Let's take Valerie with us." Scott said, standing up and putting on a coat.
"Alex, we're taking Wyatt to the vet! We'll be back soon!" Mitch called, putting on a coat as well and handing me one of his own coats.

We arrived at a white and blue building and Scott led us inside, holding open the door. A woman at the front desk smiled as soon as she saw us.
"Welcome back Wyatt!" She said, grinning and patting Wyatt's head lightly.
"Hi Abigail, Wyatt has a large scratch on his leg, we were wondering if someone could check it out?" Mitch said. Abigail stood up and led us down a hallway.
"Of course, Dr. Ambrose can look at it right now actually." She said, smiling and opening a door for us. we walk into a small, white room. There is a short man with greasy brown hair and a lab coat smiling at us inside.
"Hey Scott, Mitch. Who's this?" The man asks.
"This is Valerie. She's living with us now." Scott said, smiling at me and putting a hand on my shoulder. He handed Wyatt over to the doctor, who put him on a long white bed. He looked Wyatt over, and after about a minute, turned to us. This scratch appears to have been made by another cat? Do you guys have another cat, has he been around other cats recently?" Mitch nodded.
"Yes, we just got another hairless kitten, who looks just like Wyatt." He said.
"Okay. Put this medicine in his food, and have him take it every night, and it should heal." The doctor said, handing Mitch a small tube and putting a bandage around Wyatt's leg. After that, we said goodbye to the doctor and headed home. We decided to keep Aphrodite, but we had to keep her away from Wyatt.

When we got back home, Mitch brought Aphrodite into his room and closed the door. Scott set Wyatt on the couch, and he immediately fell sound asleep, then he checked on Alex, who was also asleep. Scott gave him a peck on the lips and closed the door as quietly as he could. Scott and Mitch headed into the kitchen to make lunch, and after Scott burned his sandwich, they asked me to open the window for some fresh air. I leaned my head out, feeling the cool air against my nose, but my head started to hurt again. I had a terrible feeling in my stomach. It felt like something was telling me to run. To turn around, close the window, and run to the kitchen. I ignored though, the wind felt so nice. Suddenly, I felt a hand brush my shoulder, then take a firm grip on my upper arm. I thought it was Scott and Mitch, but when I turned around, I saw the face of the strange man from yesterday. I tried to yell for Scott and Mitch, but he covered my mouth with his hand and started pulling me toward the door. Instantly, fear took over every part of my body, and I was so scared, I couldn't move. Was I being kidnapped? I started trembling violently and attempting to struggle or fight back, but I couldn't. Nothing was working. The door was right in front of me, and the man flung it open and pulled me out into the hallway. Tears stung the sides of my eyes and spilled out all over the man, but he didn't let go. The next thing I knew, everything was getting foggier, and my legs were getting shakier, and then, I couldn't move anymore, and I was swallowed by the dark.
I woke up in a big dark room. The air was dusty and damp. I could hardly see anything. The floor was made of cement and I saw some stairs in the corner, so I assumed I was in some sort of basement. I tried to get up, but I couldn't. My hands and feet were tied tightly together. They had been like this for so long they had gone numb. Then I remembered. The man. He kidnapped me. That's when the fear came back. I started to shake and cry. I tried to scream, but there was tape over my mouth. So, I just laid there in the cold, deafening silence. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs, and I tried to struggle, to run away but I couldn't move. I was so scared I thought I was going to have a heart attack. Then I saw him. The man. He walked over to me and stood in front of me. He held a pocket knife in his hands. When he saw my fear, he smiled and began to pace back in forth in front of me. After about 3 minutes of this, he knelt down in front of me and ripped the tape off of my mouth.
"Do you know why you're here?" He asked quietly. I shook my head.
"Wrong answer!" He screamed standing up and kicking me harshly in the side. It hurt so badly that I couldn't even scream. I just cried. This seemed to excite the man, as it made him continue to kick and punch me. Every swing more agonizing than the first. I had never been in this much pain before... But it felt almost peaceful. Like it wasn't really happening to me and I was just watching it from above. I was so cold... But the blood kept me warm.. I hoped it would end soon.
