Mitch's Point of View:

I was terrified for my friends. I had no idea what would happen. I started crying and trembling even more than I already was. Scott was about to put his arms around me, but he jumped as we heard a loud bang from somewhere in the house, Valerie emitting a yelp.

We both ran out out of my bedroom and into the living room. Alex was standing in the living room, holding Valerie against the wall, his hands around her neck. Her feet were kicking the air frantically, and tears were flowing down her face freely.

"Alex, what the hell are you doing to her?!" Scott yelled, clenching his fists.

"I'm doing what I have to." He said coldly, tightening his grip around her neck.

Scott grabbed Alex's shoulders and threw him against the wall, making him drop Valerie, who fell to the floor gasping for air.

I ran over to Valerie, holding her tightly as Alex and Scott fought roughly. Scott grabbed Alex's arm and held it behind his back, making Alex scream in agony.

"Who sent you here?! Why did you do this?!" Scott screamed.

"I had to. I had no choice." Alex grunted. This caused Scott to pull Alex's arm even higher up, making him cry up in pain. Alex whirled around and yanked his arm free, roughly pushing Scott. Scott pushed him back, slapping him across the face.

"STOP! JUST STOP!" I yelled, keeping one arm around Valerie and covering my ears with the other. Alex glared at me, pushing Scott against the couch. His head hit the wall, and he slumped over, looking dazed.

Alex stormed over to me, pulling me to my feet violently. Valerie scurried away, whimpering loudly. Alex punched me in the gut multiple times, making me keel over, crying and screaming. Scott looked up, his eyes filling with fury. He locked his jaw and dug his nails into Alex's neck, pushing him to the ground, kicking him and punching him, sweat dripping down his face. Alex sobbed, hugging himself. Blood rushed out of his nose and mouth, and a bruise was forming around his eye.

"I think he's had enough." Valerie said quietly, tugging on Scott's sleeve gently. Scott looked down at her, back at Alex, giving him one final kick in the stomach, dragging him out of the house and locking the door behind him.

Scott looked over to Valerie, placing a hand on her shoulder. "Are you okay?! What did he do??" He asked, anger still evident in his voice.

"Nothing, he just scared me a bit." She said softly.

"Valerie, honey, please go into my room and stay in there. Call us if you need anything." He said, ushering her down the hallway. Scott then turned to me.

"Are you okay? Did he hurt you? What hurts? Do you need an ice pack??" Scott threw questions at me.

I took a deep breath, standing up, cupping Scott's face, and smashing his lips against mine. We pulled apart and Scott put his arms around my waist, pulling me into a tight hug.

"I'm just glad that my baby is safe." He mumbled gently.

"Can you please get me an ice pack?" I whispered, still feeling the pain in my stomach.

"Yeah, of course." He pulled away and sprinted into the kitchen, taking an ice pack out of the freezer and bringing it over to me.

I took it and went to lay down on the couch, placing the ice pack under my shirt. Scott gave me a kiss on the forehead and went into his room, closing the door. I felt safe and comfortable, so I drifted off to sleep.

Scott's Point of View:

I walked into my room to see Valerie on her knees in front of my closet. She was holding the box and the note, and trembling slightly. I sat down next to her and took both things out of her hands, placing them back inside my closet. Valerie looked at me, her eyes as large as saucers.

"Where did this come from? Did Alex send it?" She whispered shakily.

"I don't know, Val. I don't know if he kept it here, where it came from, I just don't know." I confessed, staring at the floor.

"...Are you going to... do what the note says?... Leave me here alone?" She asked timidly.

I sighed, not really knowing what to do. I really liked Valerie, she was very important to me... but I couldn't just leave Avi, Kevin, and Kirstie to die. I just wished this could've happened to someone else. Some random stranger I didn't even know or care about. I didn't want to wish bad things upon others... but at least I and everyone I knew would've been safe.

"I don't know." I concluded, not really wanting to say it.

"Do you want to be alone for a bit?" She asked, getting up, refusing to make eye contact with me.

"Uh... Yeah, thanks Val." I said quietly, giving her a small smile. Valerie just nodded and left, her footsteps creaking down the hallway. I decided to take another look at the note, so I reluctantly picked it up and read it over and over again, grimacing in fear and anger. I couldn't leave Valerie here alone... but I couldn't let my friends die. I had never been so unsure of something in my life.

Kirstie's Point of View:

I was back. I was in the same basement I was in when I was tortured. Beaten. Almost murdered. This time though, Avi and Kevin were with me... but I couldn't talk to them or interact with them. They were both tied up in different corners of the room and gagged, barely conscious. My wrists had gone numb by now. Whenever I managed to let my thoughts take over, I had vivid hallucinations of my hands just turning blue and falling off. It scared me half to death. But I had to be strong. Be brave. Believe that I would get back out again.

I tried to scream when the man walked in again, but I couldn't. My voice was completely gone from my many attempts to call for help. In his hands were two things:

A knife and some chains.

A/N:

Hello guys!!Okay, so I just wanted to say... I'm REALLY SORRY FOR MAKING ALEX A BAD GUY!!! I don't think Alex is a bad person in real life, I think he actually seems like a really nice guy. I don't have anything against him at all, I just wanted to add something to his character.
