After the three men left, I started to break down. I didn't want to think about my mom. I loved her so much, and just the thought of her was slowly killing me inside. I eventually fell asleep though, after lots of hugs and kind words.
I woke up slightly peacefully in the morning, rubbing my eyes slightly. Scott came down the hall from his room, smiling when he saw me.
"We can do whatever you want today. We don't have to talk about your mom until you're ready, we can just go out and have fun."
"Okay. " I replied quietly.
We went into the kitchen, where Mitch was humming softly to himself, putting scrambled eggs on four separate plates, bacon, toast, and orange juice laid out nicely. I was surprised, I didn't take Mitch for the cooking type.
"Breakfast is ready!" He sang. Scott and I thanked him and sat down at the table, eating breakfast."Where's Alex?" I asked, finishing up my food.
"Oh, he left about an hour ago to go meet Jake in the city." Mitch replied offhandedly. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Scott roll his eyes, but I didn't say anything about it, feeling a little confused. After we had cleaned up breakfast, Scott turned to me and bent down slightly.
"What do you want to do?"
"Um.. I don't know... Maybe an amusement park or something?" I asked shyly.
"Six Flags!" Mitch yelled from down the hall, making Scott and I laugh.
"Sure, that sounds like fun!" Scott answered excitedly. "Is that something you feel like doing, Valerie?" He asked me, smiling.
"Yeah that'll be fun!" I responded, giggling a bit. "Mitchie, get ready! We're going to six flags!" Scott yelled....
I gasped as we entered the park, looking around at all the rides. Scott and Mitch had been able to pay for front of the line passes, so we were wearing them around our necks.
"C'mon! Let's go on a bunch of rides!" I cheered, grabbing the two boys' hands and leading them through the park. I stopped at the first roller coaster I saw, "The Tummy Turner". We showed an employee our VIP passes and he let us go straight to the front and get right on the ride.
The ride started with the coaster heading up a long ramp very slowly, a long drop ahead of us. Right as we were about to fall, I felt my head start to pound, and my vision becoming cloudy.
I am in a basement. It's the same basement I came in when I was kidnapped. Except, I don't feel quite human. I seem to be watching everything from above, almost floating. Avi and Kevin are in separate corners of the room, tied up and gagged. Kirstie is flailing around in the middle of the room, hanging only from her wrists. Avi clenches his fists together tightly, locking his jaw. Kirstie is sobbing loudly, tears streaming down her face. Kevin is looking around frantically, trying to calm everyone down. Suddenly, the man who tortured me enters, and I immediately tense up, fear taking over every inch of my body. He pulls out a knife, pointing it at each one of the band members. He stops it at Kevin, who immediately starts shaking and crying. He presses the knife into Kevin's neck. I scream, but no one seems to hear me.
I opened my eyes with a start. They were throbbing and stinging, and my head was pounding. I was sitting on a bench, and I felt two hands on my shoulders. I looked up, seeing the concerned faces of Scott and Mitch.
"Was that another vision?" Scott asked worriedly.
"Y-Y-Yeah." I stuttered.
"What'd you see, kiddo?"
I smiled lightly at the name. I then proceeded to tell them what I had seen, in as full detail as I could remember. After I was finished, Mitch placed his hand over his mouth, shuddering a bit. Scott just stared at me with wide eyes.
"We have to go find them and see if they're okay. We should warn them." I said as confidently as I could.
"I'll text Kirstie and Kevin, Mitch you text Avi." Scott said, nervously taking out his phone. We anxiously waited... And waited... And waited for a response. But ten minutes had passed, and still none of the band members replied to the texts.
"I'm going to call Avi." Mitch finally said. He dialed the number quickly and put it on speaker phone.
"Sorry, we could not find the server for 1-55-" The line went dead. Mitch started to panic, breathing heavily. Scott immediately grabbed him in a hug.
"It's okay. They're going to be fine." He whispered comfortingly.
"W-Wait, I thought the guy who kidnapped you went to jail." Mitch said suddenly.
"I don't think he was working alone." I said, nervously fidgeting with my hands.
"Did you see anyone else there with you when you were kidnapped?" Scott asked.
"No, I didn't. But I got the feeling someone else was watching... And I heard strange noises coming from upstairs.""...Do you remember where the house was?" Scott asked hesitantly.
"No I don't."
He sighed loudly and dropped his head into his hands.
Mitch wrapped his arms around Scott's back, leaning against him.
"Let's go home, and then figure this out,"
Mitch said, helping Scott up....
When we got home, there was a newspaper on our doorstep. Scott picked it up and read the front the page aloud "Dangerous criminal Tony Meyers has escaped from local prison last night. Everyone stay safe and alert. If you see this man or anything suspicious, contact your local police department." Sure enough, the picture on the front page, was the man who hurt me. Who kidnapped me from my own home. Who gave me scars that would never go away.
We quickly entered the house and locked the door behind us. We all scream at the sight in front of us. Wyatt is laying on the ground, motionless, a shard of glass sticking out of his leg. On the wall, we see a message, written in what a deep red liquid that I can only assume is blood. It reads, "You're no longer safe."
