"Hey Iris!" Jake yells from the living room as I walk in from school, and I throw my bag on the table.

"Yeah?" I walk into the living room, and sit down next to Mike who hands me a controller.

"Wanna kill some zombies?" I nod, and Jake looks confused.

"No, here Iris. Take mine, I need to go think through my life experiences" Jake throws me his remote, and I catch it, watching as he walked out and into his room.

"So, you think you can beat me in a challenge?" He nudges me, and I nod.

"Definitely" He just looks at me, and I tuck a piece of hair behind my ear.

"What?" He shakes his head, and kisses my cheek.

"Nothing, how was school?" I shrug, and we scoot closer to each other at the same time, our legs touching.

We laugh, and I set the remote down beside me.

"It was okay I guess, how was Jake?" He looks at his door, and shrugs.

"Like he always is. I mean I can't be in the door for two seconds without him handing me one of these remotes or asking me some stupid question. Like I know people aren't supposed to have favorites and all, but I'd take you over your brother any day" I make a face, and he laughs.

"Take me where?" He gets a weird smile on his face, and just stares at me, his eyes narrowed.

"Is that a trick question?" Okay, we best end this conversation now.

I chuckle nervously, picking my remote back up, and his smiles fades.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable or anything" I stay silent, and just give him a little smile.

"It's okay, so should we play this game...or did you wanna do something else?" I can see that same response of a trick question that he wants to say, but thankfully he doesn't, and smiles.

"We could bake a birthday cake for me. I'm twenty two today" I just turned eighteen...I've been having these kind of thoughts about a guy four years older than me.

But who cares.

"Happy Birthday! Of course we can bake you a cake!" I throw my arms around him, hugging him, and he just sits there.

I pull away quickly.

"I'm sorry, anyways...lets go to the store and buy some mix and stuff, whatever you want" He smiles, and nods, taking out his keys.

"Lets go...wait. We can't leave him here" I roll my eyes, and sigh.

"Yes we can, it'll take two seconds!" I shout in a whisper, dragging him out by his arm.

He doesn't hesitate to follow me this time, and he drives to the store.

He picks out a chocolate cake mic with chocolate icing, and we get in line to pay for it.

"Ooh, I want that watermelon too!" He goes to pick it up, and I shake my head.

"I don't have enough money" He holds it, pouting, then smiles, shoving it at me.

"I can't pay for it!" I whisper, looking around.

"Just put it under your shirt, they'll think nothing of it" I hold a hand out, and back away.

"You want me to pretend to be pregnant?" He nods.

"No way! I will not do that! Ever!"

****

"You look amazing!" I roll my eyes, and hold my hands on my "pregnant" stomach.

"Shut up" He takes the money from me, paying for the cake, and we go back to the car, me trying to get it out from under my shirt before he stops me.
