Missing.
The whole rest of that week
School started on a Monday and I didn't see Ruby at school on Wednesday, Thursday, and today was Friday, and she wasn't on the bus this morning.
I sat at lunch with Zayn and Jonah , and wanted to say something about how I was so confused of where she could be , but they'd been listening to me complain about it for the last two days.
I walk into my art class, and her seat was empty. I frowned.
I start to remember back to about 6th grade, and how her and her mom would always leave their house at 6:45 every Saturday morning and not come back till late at night.
I knew that because I used to always wake up early to watch her and her mom get in the car and go
Yes I know that sounds really creepy.
I always wondered why they did that. I asked my mom once, and she said she didn't know because Ms. Owen doesn't really talk to the other moms in the neighborhood that often.
I wondered if she still does that.
After the class period was over, me and my two friends rode the bus home, Zayn sat in Ruby's seat.
We walked to my house and decided to play call of duty until my mom and dad both got home from work at 8:00
My favorite part about being an only child is having the house all my myself on Fridays.
Once my mom got home from work, we went into the basement and continued to play other video games. It was getting late, and my mom said it would be fine if they just spent the night.
We stayed up till at least 4:00 playing halo and talking. Zayn made sure to tell us all about the hot girls in his humanities class, and Jonah pursued to make fun of my crush on Ruby.
I told them about art class, and how she drew a sunset like mine, and how she said we were like twins.
I also told them about how worried I was when Ruby didn't come to school the whole week.
Finally our energy was completely drained and we decided to call it a night. We crept up to my room and Zayn & Jonah rolled out sleeping bags to set up beds. I laid in my real bed and stared across the street at her house.
Suddenly I see a light flicker on.
My eyes widen. 'SHES ALIVE!!' I find my self saying in my head
At laugh at my stupidity. But I continue to be happy that at least I think she's probably still here.
'Ruby I hope I see you. I've waited all this week
For you to walk my way, your soul will capture me.'
I see the porch light come on, and her front door creeks open.
Sure enough, Ruby walks out onto her front porch, in a pink nightgown. She sits on the bench and stares at something in her hand. She put her knees to her face and stays in that position along time.
She looks like she's crying.
A feeling of sadness washes over me. I don't even know why she's sad, but some how I can feel that Something is very not right.
After a while of waiting for her to go back inside, I find my eyelids becoming heavier and heavier by the second. And before I get the chance to see what she does next,
I fall asleep.
