>>>RUBY'S POV<<<
I keep thinking about last night as I'm getting ready for school. Last night was very out of the ordinary for me. I've never really had a friend before, like at all. I've been homeschooled my whole life, and my mom has never really let me near any children.
So I was extremely happy when we found out I was getting better. Until Friday. And I entered back into a room full of depression. I also can't believe I was stupid enough to go out on the porch right across the street from Austin. And of corse he saw me.
And I feel absolutely terrible. Terrible because I know that anything between me and Austin could never work. Not a friendship, not anything. A friendship with anybody could never work. I'll never be able to work like any other normal human being. My life is absolutely terrible.
'No. Stop. You know what will happen if you let those thoughts get into your head'
I tell myself repeatedly.I put on a smile, and stare at myself in the mirror. I put on my makeup and a yellow dress, and just keep smiling.
I grab my back pack and head out the door, with out eating breakfast as usual.
I see Austin and Jonah walking just a few yards ahead of me, my smile is now only half fake. I know I shouldn't , but I walk up to them.
"Hey Ruby!" Austin says to me with a smile.
"Hi, I'm Jonah." Says his blonde haired, blue eyed friend on the left.
"Nice to meet you!" I say politely.
He gives me a kind smile. I smile back. But I have a gut wrenching feeling in my stomach.
I walk next to Austin and listen in on their conversation about some movie I've never seen. From what they say I think it's called The Hunger Games.
"Have you seen the third one yet?" Austin asks me excitedly.
"I haven't seen any of them." I say shyly.
Both of the boys look at me in complete shock like I just told them I huge secret. I really hope I never have to him make that face at me again.
"It's the best movie ever! I can't believe you've never seen them!" Says Zayn , completely taken by surprise.
"Nope, I've never even heard of it." I say with a small chuckle.
"I own every single one! We should all have a marathon!" Austin says.
I think for second. I really like Austin and Jonah seems super nice too. I feel bad for becoming their friends. But, I can't help myself. I think I deserve to make up for lost time as a kid.
"That would be awesome!" I say.
"We should," Zayn says, giving a secret wink at Austin, but I can still see it "and I can invite Zayn too!"
"My parents have to work all Friday night again! We should do it then." Suggests Austin.
"Are you available that night?" Jonah says to me.
"Yah, I should be." I respond.
"Sweet, sound like a plan." Says Austin.
By then we had made our way to bus stop, and it had pulled up and we filed in. I waited for sustain to sit down, then I sat down next to him. He gave me summary of the movie and I listen intently. It sounded actually really interesting. I haven't seen many movies in my life.
We get off the bus and I continue walking
With Austin and his friend. We walk over and meet up with Zayn. He was dark brown hair and blue eyes. He's really attractive , but I still like Austin's hazelnut hair and yellow/green eyes. I don't I've ever seen some one quite as attractive as him. They tell Zayn about their movie night plan and he agrees to come. They all wave goodbye to me as I walk the opposite direction to my first class. They are all really nice. I feel a lot better than I did this morning.
