Two chapters in two days! OMG! Its crazy. I guess I'm over my writers block YAYY! :D

Well here is the next chapter, lovelys :)

-Darcy’s POV-

Luke’s words ran through my head. I actually had no idea, what was i going to do. I mean I can’t exactly live on my own, can i? I guess, even though I hated the idea, I would have to move back to Canberra and live with mum. I really hope that wouldn’t be the case, I could just stay here with Jane and live a normal life, not one full of alcohol and drugs. Luke nudged my shoulder, “Well, what are you going to do?”

“I’m not sure at the moment; I mean I could just stay here for a while and work out what I’m going to do. If Jane doesn’t come back then I guess I’ll have to go back to mum. But for now I’m staying here, all on my own.” I replied in such a rush I wasn’t sure if Luke got it all.

“That’s a lie, the last part. I’m going to stay here with you, so I guess we better put the heater on and let the house warm up cause I don’t plan on sleeping in the bloody cold.”

I giggled at his remark, though I was glad he was staying, I didn’t want to be here alone.

“So while the house is warming up to a reasonable temperature, we should go buy some food, aye?”

I nodded in agreement, I needed food. Plus Jane had put some money in my account for food, it had to last me a few days, until dad’s money came in. Even then I would have to be careful, it’s not like it was going to last forever. I grabbed my house keys, turned the heater right up before leaving the house. Luke and I walked down the street to the shopping centre.

-Luke’s POV-

“No Darcy, I want the chocolate flavoured one!” I whined. Darcy and I were debating about what milk to buy.

“Luke, we can just get both. I’m not having chocolate milk on my fucking fruit loops.”

I was holding in a giggle, trying to look confident and strong. I couldn’t hold it and I let it slip. Darcy just shook her head as I placed both the full cream milk and chocolate in the trolley. We were finally in the last aisle after about an hour of hardcore shopping

“Do we need ice cream?” Darcy questioned, my jaw instantly dropping. Was this girl crazy, of course we needed ice cream. My reaction was enough; Darcy just giggled and asked what flavour I would like.

"Ummm, Vanilla, then we can just add flavoured topping.”

Darcy nodded in agreement, great minds think alike. We proceeded to the checkout; some ditsy girl was on the register. When she saw how much we had in the trolley her jaw dropped, she quickly closed it as I looked up. It was too late, I already knew what she was thinking, how could two people eat that much? To be completely honest I know why, we both had Italian origins, we were born to eat and cook.

The checkout chick had finally scanned and packed the last item into the bag; I picked the bag up and placed it into the trolley as Darcy paid.

$650. Not bad, I thought to myself. I mean, yeah it was a lot but we had enough food to last us a few weeks. I pulled my phone out and called Beau, his car was in need.

“Lukey boy, what’s up? Did you work out what happened with Jane?”

I told Beau everything that had happened, well summarised it all for him.

“So are you still at Darcy’s? Mum wants to know.” Beau asked

“Well, we are just at Coles buying some food and I was wondering if you could come and pick us. We have so much food, we can’t carry it back.”

“Oh yeah, no problem kiddo. I’ll be there in like 5?”

“Mmkay, I’ll see you then”

Beau then hung up; at least I wouldn’t have to carry all this stuff back. Darcy walked out of the shop and smiled at me.

“So I begged Beau, his coming to pick us and our mountain of food up. He’ll drop us at yours and then I can get him to tell mum that I’ll be staying at yours. Oh shit, hang on.”

Darcy just gave me a plain expression. I had forgotten to ask Beau to get me some clothes. I quickly whipped my phone out and dialled his number. He answered almost straight away.

“What do you want now? I’m just about to leave!” He boomed down the phone.

“I need some clothes, cause I’m staying at Darcy’s.” I boomed back at him.

“I’ll just grab whatever I can mate.”

“Okay thanks Beau, see you in a bit.”

I slipped my phone back into my pocket.

Darcy was already unpacking the bags from the trolley. I rushed over to help her out. We had just got the last two bags out as Beau pulled up; he jumped out of his car, popped the boot open and started loading the groceries in. As fast as he pulled up we were out of their and at Darcy’s.

We all got out of the car and started unpacking the car. Darcy went and unlocked the door and Beau and I grabbed all the bags and carted them inside. It was hard work, like I feel my biceps getting bigger. Beau stayed for a while helping us put all the food away; once that was done he left. I walked him to his car to grab my clothes.

“Luke, you know she won’t be staying.” He said in a sad tone.

“What are you talking about? Her dad left her the house of course she will be staying.” I quickly spat back.

“You don’t understand. She isn’t old enough to be here by herself, she needs a legal guardian who is 18. The court will make her move back to her mum’s and she’ll have to most likely sell the house.”

“Beau, that’s not going to happen, I’ll find a way to make her stay. I can’t lose her, you know that.” I almost yelled back, tears threatened to spill from my eyes. Beau pulled me into a hug.

“You and I both buddy. She won’t be leaving anytime soon I promise.” Beau whispered. We stayed like this for a brief moment before he broke away and got into his car and drove off. I was left standing in the empty driveway to wonder, would Darcy be staying?
