Chapter 10: Need a pick-me-up.
(This chapter is all in Darcy's POV)
-Darcy's POV-
Luke walked out of the room to join the others. I was still pretty shaken about what had happened. I don't know how I should be reacting. Death wasn't something I was familiar with. My body ached from exhaustion. They boys had been talking for a good half an hour. I dozed off in the first ten minutes but was soon woken by nightmares. I knew I would have no sleep what so ever tonight. I started to get out of bed to get a glass of water when the boys walked in. They looked at me like I was committing a crime.
"I'm just going to get a glass of water, unless that's a crime?" I said sarcastically.
Beau poked his tongue out at me and Daniel let out a giggle. Jai answered my question.
"No, it's not but you don't have to get up; we'll get it for you."
I smiled at him. He smiled back before directing Beau to get my glass of water. Beau walked out while directing a comment at me.
"What is she a princess now?" He let out a little giggle at the end. Before I could direct a smart ass comment back at him Luke spoke up.
"Yes Beau. She's my princess." He winked at me.
I started blushing. James must have seen because he changed the subject. He explained what they had agreed on. I didn't mind spending the night with them. It would give me the chance to get to know them. Beau walked back into the room and handed me the glass of water.
"Her majesties glass of water." I let out a little giggle.
"Thank you Beau."
"Your welcome. Let's all try and get some sleep before we have to get up again." He leant down in front of me and planted a kiss on my forehead. He got up and jumped onto the lounge. I placed my cup in James hands so I could say good night to the rest of the boys. Jai was next in line; he embraced me in a hug before planting a kiss on my cheek. He climbed under the covers of a mattress. Daniel wrapped his arms around me and whispered in my ear.
"You better be here when I wake up."
"Promise I will." I whispered back.
Last but not least Luke came up he wrapped his arms around my waist and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He lightly kissed me on the lips and rested his forehead on my own.
"I love you Darc." He whispered.
"I love you too Luke."
He planted a light kiss on the tip of my nose before tucking under the covers on my right. James was on my right side. I turned to face him and he handed me my water.
"Thanks."
"Welcome. Hey Darcy..... I'm really sorry about what happened to you. Just remember we are all here for you." He gave me a reassuring smile at the end.
"I know you guys are." I smiled back.
"Darcy, I don't know much about you. Tell me about yourself."
"Umm okay. My favourite colour is blue, favourite food is ice-cream and favourite sport is AFL or rugby union. I hate bullies, spiders and snakes. Your turn." I giggled.
"Well it will seem weird but I like doing homework. I love AFL. My favourite food is Warak eneb and my favourite colour is blue."
I started giggling. I wasn't trying to be mean but James actually likes homework.
