*one week later*
*Erza's POV*
It was the week since I told my sisters about my engagement. Wendy was really excited, like a little kid waking up on Christmas morning. Tonight was the ball to celebrate the union of Magnolia and Sorciére. Wendy could hardly stand still during her new gown fitting, that it took over three hours instead of a few minutes. After those three hours, we found her perfect gown, a small, silky, light bluish green gown with a golden ribbon belt that hung up a sheer layer for the skirt. A unique golden embroidery outlined the edges of her gown and the sleeves went from her shoulders to the bend of her elbow with flowing sheer attachments to her wrists. Wendy decided to curl her blue hair, wear her tiara, and her matching bluish green flats.
Levy came next. She didn't take three hours like Wendy did, because she had an appointment to get to the library and read mountains of books. I knew she had a love of books. No matter where you found her, she would always have a book with her. She is and always will be a bookworm.
The maids had made a few dresses for Levy, but settled on a orange-like gold gown that was darker around her waist and grew lighter as it spread out. The sleeves were short and rested on the edge of her shoulder with a low rounded top. The gown had more puffed out skirt but was more slimming than some gowns I have seen, and a stitched golden sash around the waist with a bow tied neatly behind her. The top was a red, symmetrical jeweled design on it, which Levy admired. Along with the gown came a matching pair of golden gloves that came to the middle of her lower arm. "You look absolutely beautiful Levy." I said, as the maids continue to fit her.
"Thank you Erza, but tonight isn't about me. I just want to be there to support you and Prince Jellal." she told me.
"You always know what to say and when to say it." I said, smiling. Suddenly, there was knock on the door. Mirajane, the maid who helped design our new gowns, went to the door. "Oh, hello your highness." Her gentle voice spoke, bowing.
"Greetings Miss Mirajane." I heard Jellal's voice say.
"We are finishing up with Princess Levy." She said, rising to allow Jellal in. "Would you like to come in?"
"Thank you." he said, walking in. I walk up to him to greet him. Mira had gone back to helping fix the finishing touches to Levy's gown. "Your Majesty." I said, bowing to my fiance.
"Princess Erza, I believe I have informed you that you don't have to do that." he said, raising me up from my bow. "After all, we will be married next week. Aren't you excited?"
"Of course I am." I say to him, still holding his hands.
"And finished." I heard Lisanna, Mira's younger sister say. Jellal and I turned towards the three girls and see Mira and Lisanna move to the side. Levy stood there, shining like the setting sun. Her short light-blue hair was straightened with her hair being held back with her golden tiara. Two strands of hair relaxed on either side of her face. She didn't have to wear make-up to show how beautiful she is. "Princess Levy. You look absolutely beautiful, just like your sister." Jellal said, taking her hand and lightly kissing it.
"Thank you Prince Jellal." Levy said, smiling. "But my sister still has to get ready as well." I have been too caught up with my sister's getting ready, that I forgot that I still have to get ready. Tonight is about Jellal and I, just like Levy told me earlier. "Don't you worry Princess." Lisanna said. "We have already talked to your sister about her gown, and we have just finished it yesterday. She won't take very long."
"That's true Levy. Besides, I want all of you to have fun tonight." I said.
Mira, Lisanna and I had left Levy, so I could get ready. I had about another hour and forty five minutes before we have guests arrive.

*Levy's POV*
Erza and the two sisters had gone to get Erza ready for tonight. I was alone in my room, or so I thought, when I look out of my room into the courtyard, and see Gajeel working out there. I couldn't help but smile. "Princess Levy?" I heard Jellal say. I was surprised to see him still here. I turn in his direction, only to find that he was right behind me. Jellal wore a royal blue princely coat-like robe with white pants and black boots. A silver embroidery decorated the coat. Jellal had peered over my shoulder and looked at what I was looking at. "Is something the matter Jellal?" I asked him.
"It's just that you are distracted during our time we spend together, me and your sisters, that boy is always there." he said, referring to Gajeel.
"I do?" I tried to lie to him.
"Levy, please don't try and lie to me." he said, looking at me with his dark grayish-black eyes. "Forgive me for asking this, but do you like that boy?"
I was stumped. Jellal knew I tried to lie, and he could see my feelings through my eyes. No wonder Erza loved him. "I like him as a friend." I stated.
"Levy, its clear that you like him more than that." Jellal said.
"I know." I say, without thinking about that, tilting my head down. "It's just that I could never be his. He isn't royalty, or what you expect him to be."
"What's he like?" Jellal asked.
"Well, he's ruthless...and kinda of dense. But, he is someone who looks after me and my sisters, especially after our parents died. He may seem scary, but he is really kind." I say, smiling a little.
"How long have you known him?" he continued to ask me questions.
"He came just a few months before mom and dad died. He had nowhere else to go and our servants welcomed him as family. I was the one who found him outside in the cold night we found him." I explain. "He was badly injured, and I had found him just in time."
"I see. So, he has devoted his life to helping the royal family?" I was once again questioned.
"You sure have a lot of questions." I said smiling.
"Well, I am not that familiar with your side with the story." he said.
We were interrupted by the sound of the clock chime for 7:00. The ball was going to start in thirty minutes. "Well, it looks like we should be going." I told him.
"Will you allow me to escort you?" he asked. I looked shocked, but I smiled. "Of course, that is, until we meet up with Erza." I answer him, taking his arm. Jellal smiled at me and walked me towards the ballroom. Little did I know what was coming for me later this evening.
