*Wendy's POV*

I couldn't wait, I was so excited.   Tonight was the big ball, and I was going to meet people from my kingdom is well as people from Sorciére.  Dukes and Duchesses, Lords and Ladies, I couldn't wait to meet everybody.

As I made my way to the throne room, I tried my hardest to keep my excitement in.  This was my first ball after all.  Well, Levy told me stories about the ball the day I was born, but I was a baby and I didn't know what it was like.   I was given lessons for ballroom dancing, that I didn't know what to expect to happen.   Did I have to wait until somebody had asked me to dance?   Or do I walk around and walk into somebody?  I didn't know what to expect.  I was really excited and nervous.

I met up with Erza, who wore the most beautiful gown I have ever seen. (pictured above)  It was like she was a goddess.   Her hair was styled into a bun with a braid wrapped around it. She had two strands curled on the bottom of either side of her face, with her bangs lightly covering her right eye.   She wore light eyeshadow and blush to compliment her outfit.   She really would steal the night tonight.   After all, it was about her and Jellal.  "Wow.  Erza.  You look beautiful."  I say in amazement.

"Thank you Wendy." she says, smiling back.  "You look just as beautiful as you say I am."

"I'll never be as pretty as you Erza.  After all, you do take after mother." I say.  It was true, Levy and I had an equal mix of our parents, but Erza looked more like a sister to mother.  The same scarlet red hair, same brown eyes, even the same facial structure.  She and mother were the most beautiful women I have ever seen.

"Shall we be on our way?" Erza asked. I nodded and smiled.   "We don't want to be late.  As the two of us headed down, we met Levy and Jellal behind the doors.  Jellal had this look of amazement when he saw Erza.   I couldn't blame him.  Erza was just too pretty.   "Erza, I...wow...you look absolutely...wonderful."  Jellal finally managed to say.
Levy thought it was cute, and I just giggled.  "Thank you Jellal." she said, then she looked at Levy.  "Oh my.  I forgot to tell you something Levy.  I gave an invitation to somebody you could be interested in, but he said he was going to be a little late coming."

Levy looked confused.  "Who did you give the invitation to?" she asked.

"Don't worry, you'll find out soon enough." Jellal said, smiling at her.

Suddenly, the trumpets sounded and we looked over at the doors.  "Okay, remember.  Jellal and I will go first, and you two will follow behind us."  Erza said, taking Jellal's arm.

"Yes Erza." Levy and I say in unison.  With that, Erza smiled and turned back towards the door, just as they opened.   The throne room, or as I was informed that it was called an Audience chamber, was decorated with blue and red tapestries that were lined with silver and gold to their respective colors.  The floor was freshly mopped and waxed and the windows had been washed.  It sparkled in the setting sun and chandelier lit room.

We made our way to the throne's where the four of us stood, with Levy standing beside Erza and I beside Jellal.   As the Ambassador introduced us to the Dukes and Duchesses, and the Lords and Ladies, my eyes met with the son of Lord Macao Conbolt, Romeo.

*Levy's POV*

After meeting with the guests, the four of us walked around.  Immediately, Wendy ran into Lord Conbolt's son, Romeo, and they entered into a well pleasing conversation for them.  I couldn't help but smile.  They looked so cute together.  Erza was stuck with Jellal the entire time, since they were the host and hostess of this ball.   I didn't want to be rude and folloe them like a lost puppy, but my last ball was twelve years ago, when Wendy was born.
