It seemed like it was the perfect beginning to my destined new life. I had just finished college, only a couple months ago. With my current boyfriend Tevin Stone, that wants to have us move in together immediately. I think we're moving a little too fast, but at the same time, my mother can get a little unbearable at times. Who we've been living with ever since we graduate from college. Tevin has had his eyes on a few apartments, that would be around my mother's neighborhood, and in the perfect price range. We don't have a lot of money to work with, and we still need my mother to babysit our son Xavier while we're at work.

Anyways, me and my boyfriend have been staying with my mother, just until we have enough money saved up to purchase our own apartment. Everyday she nags us about moving out, and its starting to drive us crazy. We keep telling her that we're gonna move out soon, but I guess she doesn't believe us. It maybe because we lie around a lot when we're off. But, that's because we're usually so exhausted from work, that doing anything else just slips our minds. Tevin has to get up early to work at this aircraft business, while I'm a part-time para at a pre-school.

Since we were both off today though, we decided to set another offer on this apartment that would be perfect for us. It has two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, living room, and a small laundry room. It was right in our price range, and it was fairly close to my mother's house. The only problem was that we were competing against another couple, that wasn't going down without a fight.

As me and Tevin were cuddling in this purple, comfortable, fuzzy chair, that sat in front of my bed facing my flat-screen, I had my laptop resting on my lap. Tevin wraps his arms around my waist and plants a kiss on my cheek, before focusing on the basketball game. He changed the channel to not too long before I pulled my laptop out. I roll eyes playfully, before noticing that the apartment we wanted appeared that it was now sold to someone. My eyes get big, as I look to the computer screen with disbelief.

"Baby," I pout, but Tevin just ignores me and continues to watch the game. "Tevin," I say a little louder, and he slowly turns to look at me with an annoyance.

"What TT," he asks sternly, and I cross my arms. Continuing to pout, because he was just making me even more upset.

"We didn't get it," I whine, and he slyly rolls his eyes.

"What you mean we didn't get it," he asks while looking to my laptop, like I was lying to him.

"It says it's sold," I whimper. He smacks his lips, before looking me back in my eyes. When he notices how upset I was getting, his face goes soft.

"Its koo babe, we can just keep looking for another one, ight?"

"But, that one was perfect," I sob, before tears start streaming down my face. Tevin lets out a sigh as he sets my laptop on the floor. So, he can cradle me in his arms, and comfort me, which always seems to work. I wrap my arms around his neck and rest my head on his chest, as he starts rubbing my back.

"Its gone be ight baby," he tries again, before his phone starts going off. His signature ringtone 'Ayo by Chris Brown' goes off, which also happens to be his favorite song. He continues to soothe the tension in my back and chest with one hand, while he answers his phone with the other. "Yea," he answers sounding ghetto as always. "Yo...for real...yea...thank you so much, my girl gone be so excited...ight...," he says before hanging up the phone. "Baby, look at me," he commands, and I sit up from his chest, so I could look into his eyes with my sad ones. "We got it baby, they sold it to us," he says with a hopeful smile, and my eyes light up. Hearing the good news about the apartment officially made my day. I couldn't believe my ears, we were finally moving out and getting our own place. I let out one last sniffle, before breaking out into a smile.
