Micheal Hawkins
A week later...
I watched Tatiana casually as she was finishing up packing her and Xavier's bags for their trip to Atlanta. Tanisha was on her way to pick them up for the airport, so Tatiana was all over the place, making sure she didn't forget anything. I couldn't even laugh at how crazy she looked running around the room, because all I could think about was how much I was gone miss her. I really don't want her to go, but at the same time I don't want to hold her back from having fun with her sisters. She deserves to have fun, and I can't let my selfishness get in the way of that. Plus, she only gone be gone for two days, which ain't that long.
"I'm not gonna be gone that long," Tatiana says gently, snapping me out of my pitiful thoughts. She had helped herself to my lap, while lifting up my head, so I had no choice but to look her in the eyes. I grab her waist with a sad look, trying hard not to break and tell her to stay.
"I know babe, I'm just a little on edge cause I can't protect you when your not with me," I explain, because that was another reason why I didn't want her to go. Because of Tevin, I'm overprotective of Tatiana and her son. So, if I'm not with them, how am I gone protect them?
"I'll just tell Tanisha I can't go," she fronts, while pulling her cell phone out of her pocket. I allow her to get as far as typing in her digits, before I stop her.
"No, you're gonna go with your sisters and have fun," I start, causing her to lock her phone back and look to me with confusion. "I'll be ight, I'll just have my boys come over."
"Are you sure?"
"Yea," I say before gently grabbing her chin. "If you need me though, call me and I'll be there ight?"
"Yea," she smiles, before pecking my lips. "No weed while I'm gone," she fronts, before climbing off the lap, walking up to her and Xavier's suitcases. I let out a loud laugh, as I climb out the bed behind her. Following her into the front room, as she dragged the suitcases into the living room.
"That was a joke right," I ask while sitting on the couch next to Xavier. Who was trying to finish the game he started on Xbox before his aunt showed up.
"Yea it was, I know better than to get between you and your leaves," she jokes as she plops herself down on my lap sideways. I shake my head at her, as I watch Xavier play his video game. I just bought him this basketball game named 2k15 a couple days ago, and he plays it faithfully. So, he maybe lowkey upset that he has to go without playing it for two days straight.
"Wow," I chuckle, before there's a knock at the door. I wrap Tatiana's legs around my waist, before carrying her with me to answer it.
"Why though," I hear Davion whine as soon as I open the door. He was latched onto Vanessa from behind, who was slyly enjoying that she was gonna be missed. She leads them through the door, with Tanisha, Zander, and Jr. high on their trail. I dap Zander up with a smile, before closing the door behind them.
When we all meet up in the living room, Davion could still be found whining, like he ain't never gone see Vanessa again. But at the same time, I couldn't get on his head either, because I was basically doing the same thing before they came over.
Zander Jr. seats himself next to Xavier, watching him play the game in amazement. Probably hoping he could get at least get a turn in, before they both have to leave. Zander was sitting next to them, with his baby momma on his lap, while Davion stood next to me, holding Vanessa in his arms. Tatiana rests her head down on my chest, as I continue to hold her closely.
