Zoe coughed, completely lost now but tried her best to keep Daisy close. She kept calling for Sadie repeatedly but couldn't find her and soon felt abandoned by her. She wiped away tears and looked down at Daisy, her voice was shaky, "It'll be ok Daisy, we'll make it through this...."

Though she tried to reassure her, Daisy wasn't up for it growing tired. Zoe continued on trying to find a way out of the smoke for the next half hour and had to carry Daisy for part of the time. She made it to what looked like the edge of the smoke wall and now shed tears of joy. They didn't last long however as suddenly someone attacked her from behind. She let out a scream being picked up and Daisy being taken from her. She thrashed wildly, "Daisy! You won't take her, I wont let you!" she screamed relentlessly.

She was knocked out and dropped to the ground. For the length of time she was out, Daisy and whoever it was, was gone. Zoe groaned, her throat sore from being in the smoke for so long. She started crying when she realized both her sisters were gone now and she was left on her own. She rubbed a bruise on her arm and felt like throwing up. She shakily stood but then collapsed again, throwing up on the ground in front of her. She moaned weakly, rolling to her side and wiping her mouth.

She tried not to cry again, harnessing her fear and pain inside. She lay there for a little while, letting herself rest before getting back up a little more stable this time and tried to figure out where exactly she was. She was in no land she had ever seen before and she heard waves crashing against rocks in the distance. She frowned deciding to wander a little and scope out the area. She scanned the tall trees around her as well as the underbrush that spotted around the bases of them.

Where am I...?

She grew concerned as she went, wondering if maybe there was anyone else here, perhaps someone who lived here and could tell her what this place was. She wandered further, growing tired and hungry rather quickly. She stopped suddenly when she heard something move in the bushes around her. She frowned, her eyes darting around nervously.

"Who's there?" she called out. She sounded very nervous and weak which internally she hated. She was only five but she would have at least liked to have sounded a little stronger then that.

There wasn't a reply and the bushes shifted again. Zoe spread her wings protectively around herself, her wings ruffled. A boy finally stepped out of the bushes, looking at the girl with curiosity. "Who are you?" he asked, his voice clear.

Zoe found her voice was caught in her throat when she tried to speak and so she closed her mouth again in an awkward silence. The boy tilted his head, "It's alright, I'm not going to hurt you." A shadow peered from the bushes the boy had come from which Zoe eyed suspiciously. "W-Who are you?" she managed to stammer.

The boy smiled, "I'm Peter. Don't mind the shadow, he's just scouting around and led me to you."

Zoe unfurled her wings feeling oddly safe with this boy, "I'm Zoe." she murmured shyly. Her hair mostly hung in her face and she partially brushed it away.

Peter's soft smile made Zoe a little more comforted after what had happened and she managed a smile. "What is this place?"

"Neverland." Peter replied and gestured her, "Come with me, I can take you where you'll be warm and safe." Zoe pondered with that for a moment, wondering whether or not to trust him until finally she decided she would. She followed him back to his camp as he explained the land the other kids that were here on the way to it, walking since Zoe for one could not fly yet and she preferred not to yet.

At the camp she met the Lost Boys and some Lost Girls that happened to be there as well known as Scout and Lyra. Soon Zoe felt safe enough to be a little less shy though it would be years before her shyness would go away. Little by little, she began to learn new things about herself. When she would sing or hum a little tune, she could control people and animals, Peter taught her how to fly and she discovered the wonders of her feathers being able to heal.

A month later after being on Neverland, Zoe found a book. One that she knew Daisy often favored for the magic it contained in being able to tell you anything just by thinking about it. Zoe took the book and kept it hidden, not daring to look inside for fear of what she would find. She didn't tell Peter about it or anyone else but after a while she had forgotten about it anyway. She was quickly favored as well for her talents and had friends that she never thought she could ever have.

One day a girl by the name of Sierra had come to Neverland along with a pirate, Captain Hook. Zoe didn't really know them but she was always told stories about them. She decided to sing on one of the highest peaks on one side of the island where her voice travelled through out it. She then proceeded to eavesdrop on them on Skull Island when she saw them there.

She thought she wouldn't be seen but her mere presence had distracted the pirate and ended up being caught anyway.

"Zo, it's ok, they wont harm you. Come here."

Zoe came when Peter called and shyly walked towards Sierra, Hook and Peter. She managed a faint smile as Sierra looked at her. She let her wings relax as they introduced themselves and when Peter asked her to show them one of her talents, she hummed, greeting through Hook who looked confused immediately after.

Zoe smiled a little less shy as she had amused them and then somewhat saddened when Sierra and Hook had to go. She sighed and flew off to another part of the island.

Years passed after that and Zoe grew stronger and more ill tempered. She was still her shy self around the others but inside all she could think of was the past and how her older sister had abandoned her. She looked for ways of searching for where Sadie could possibly be if she were even alive. Her angelic side wanted her very much to forgive Sadie but her demon spirit overpowered that feeling just enough to fill her with downright hatred.

She went to Peter after a while, asking about where she might be able to go to find her sister. Having never told him about her past though he asked her why. After many attempts of trying to find an excuse, she settled with telling him her past from before she ended up on Neverland.

Peter sighed, "It's your abandoned feeling that got you here, at least partial to it." He shook his head and looked at Zoe, "I will help you Zo, but you must promise me you'll come back eventually." Zoe nodded, "Of course I'll come back, I promise. I just want to find Sadie and then I'll come back."

Peter agreed to it and he gave her a magic bean to go to Storybrooke, telling her how to use it. Zoe hesitated before she left, looking at Peter. He tilted his head, "Go ahead, use it to get to Sadie."

Zoe went to him and hugged him, "Thank you Peter, for everything."

Peter blinked in surprise as he hugged her back. He smiled faintly, "Your welcome Zo, now go on."

Zoe smiled and used the magic bean to go through a portal and go to Storybrooke where she would find Sadie alive indeed and would come back as promised.
