Ceres has been acting strange lately. I wonder what's wrong. She sometimes avoids me. And sometimes she's all cuddly. She would say the most unusual things.

"Ceres," I sat her down on my bed. We were waiting for Michael so that we could go to the park. "What's wrong?"

"Ah, nothing," she smiles. "I'm fine."

"You been acting so, strange," I said.

"Sorry just haven't been sleeping well," she did look tired. "Bad nightmares."

"Okay," I kissed her.

We took Michael to the park. One other thing about her strange behavior was that she's always watching Michael. She never wants to leave him. She's even been staying at my house. I don't mind, but it's getting out of hand. But I didn't say anything and went along.

"Weee!" Michael smiled. "Oh uh, my butt wet."

"I see that the slide all watery," Ceres said giggling.

After an hour at the park. We went home since it started to snow.

I sat in the living room while Michael was with my mother. Ceres had gone home. For now. She'll be back. I do wonder what's been keeping her up at nights. She said it's nightmares, so they must be horrible nightmares.

"Blake, don't forget, I'll be gone tomorrow," I forgot. My mother is going to a Christmas party. Tomorrow was Christmas. "But I'll be home before twelve."

"Okay," I said. As I sat there, my phone rang. "Hello?"

"How are things going?" My father asked. I stood up and went up to my room.

"Things are good," I said. "Well no, not really. She's been acting weird. She sometimes avoids me."

"I see, well just keep an eye on her," my father sighed. "Investigate why she's acting strangely. Something must be going on at her home. It could that her father, finally got through her. And she's on to us."

"Alright," I said. I hang up.

Could Ceres be on to us? Is that why she's acting strangely. No, it couldn't be. Her father wouldn't just openly tell her. But if it meant to keep her away from me, he would. Crap, this was no good.

The next day, Ceres didn't come to the house. She said she had things to do. So it was just Michael and me.

"Let's take a nap, it's too cold to do anything," I told Michael.

We laid on the floor in the living room and made some comfy beds out of pillows and blankets. Michael fell asleep fast. Poor little guy, he had a cold. I laid next to him.

It wasn't long before, I to fell asleep. And then, I began to dream.

"Blake."

A female voice.

"You must protect Michael."

"Why?" I asked. I couldn't see the female at all.

"His important to you," the female said. "Don't let your father control you."

The dream wasn't long. I woke up to Michael coughing. I gave him, his medicine. I was going to lay back down, but the doorbell rang. I went answered it. It was Ceres.

"Hey," I let Ceres in, I didn't know she was coming. "Michael is sleeping."

"Oh okay," she seemed cheerful. Maybe she's bipolar.

She went into the living room and sat down. I wonder why she's here. Wasn't she busy?

"So what's up?" I sat next to her.

"Nothing," she smiles. "Just got bored at home. Blake." She turned to me this wasn't good. She looked so, serious. "You won't do anything to hurt me right?"

"No, of course not," I said. What is going on with Ceres?

"Promise," no don't make me promise.

"Yes, I promise," she said.

"Good," she then sat on my lap. "Than, I give you my virginity." It wasn't part of the plan! I can't do that with her. Hell no.

"No Ceres," I sighed. "I won't. We're underage. And I don't want to be a father."

"But I brought protection," she smiled. Why is she doing this?

"Ceres," I chuckled. "This isn't the way. Why are you suddenly like this?"

"Just cause, I don't want to get hurt," she hugs me. "I want us always to be together." I felt a sharp pain in my upper right shoulder. "To always tell the truth." The pain turned into a burning sensation.

"Ceres," I winced. I tried to get her off. But she held on.

"Don't betray me," I stopped moving. "I trust you. So don't even think about it. Because I won't let you betray me." She got closer to my ear and whispered words I didn't want to hear. "I've already unleashed my powers, and I've learned to control them. I'll stop your father, from invading my world. You can't stop me, now. I know everything." And she pulled away. "Let's make some gingerbread house, once Michael up."

She got up like nothing as if her talking didn't even happen. She knows everything. It can't be possible that she manages to control her powers.

"I'm going to check on him," I got up and went upstairs. My shoulder still hurts. In the room, I checked my shoulder. A mark was appearing. A skull, with a scythe across. Did Ceres do this to me? Will this mark even go away? I touched it, and it burned my hand. I'll have to ask my father about this.

"Blake," Michael woke up. I fixed my shirt and picked him up.

"Come on," we went downstairs, we're Ceres had some gingerbread houses out. I set Michael down.

"Ceres," he giggled and went to her.

"Hey," Ceres set him on the chair. "Let's make gingerbread houses."

"Yay," Michael giggled.

I was in shock still. And through the whole thing, I had to go over and over through what happened earlier. Ceres would smile at me as nothing happened. It could be that her father is teaching her how to control her powers. He couldn't have told her. All this was making my head hurt.

Ceres didn't go home. Instead, she fell asleep with Michael in his bedroom. I was downstairs, pacing around. The mark was still on my shoulder, but it didn't burn me when I touched it. I wonder if it's a permanent mark, or will it fade away.

I wanted to call my father. But I couldn't. What if Ceres heard me? And I have to be cautious about this mark. It could do anything to me.

I sighed. Ceres, who would've had thought she would get me. She's tough, has always been. Maybe that's why my heart beats for her. Do I love her? This few times I been with caused my heart to feel warm. I can't fall in love with her.

What can I do? And one other thing. That dream and whoever that female was. What did she mean by keeping Michael safe? I'll need to figure these things out soon. I feel as if there will be a war soon and people are going to get hurt.
