Isaac sighed as he walked into Beacon Hills highschool. He hadn't been here in over a year, and being here now just brought back a load of bad memories. He missed Allison, but there was nothing he could do. She was gone, and she wasn't coming back. All he could do was move on.
Stiles was the first to spot him. He was at his locker, texting. Probably Derek, Isaac smirked to himself. Stiles looked up for a split second and then looked back down at his phone before his head shot up again.
"Wholly shit! Isaac!" He gasped. Isaac smiled and gave him a small wave but Stiles wasn't having that. He grabbed Isaac in a hug. "Where the hell have you been?" He asked.
"France with Mr. Argent." Isaac replied quietly. Stiles looked surprised for a moment.
"Duh, should have known that." Stiles said as he slapped his forehead. "Are you going to try out for lacrosse again?" Stiles asked.
"Not sure yet. I only just got back." Isaac chuckled. "Speaking of being back, what have I missed?" Isaac asked. Stiles shook his head.
"Where do I even begin?" Stiles snorted.
"That much?" Isaac laughed nervously. He hopped they wouldn't be having another Nemeton incident.
"Okay, let's start with something kind of easy, you remember that girl we saved from the woods? The full Coyote?" Stiles asked as he shut his locker. They started to make their way to the front office so that Isaac could get his schedule.
"Oh yeah, Melinda?" Stiles laughed.
"Not Melinda, Malia." He corrected. Isaac nodded.
"That's what I said, Malia."
"So, that's her." Stiles said as he pointed down the hallway. There was a beautiful tan girl in a pair of shorts wearing a tank-top with a cardigan over it. She had beautiful long light brown hair flowing down her back. She smiled and laughed as she walked down the hallway with Lydia and Kira.
"She goes here now?" Isaac asked. Stiles nodded.
"She's really smart, just... math is a bit hard for her." Stiles said softly.
"Are you hinting at something Stilinski?" Isaac laughed as they walked into the office.
"What? Me? Hinting? No, not at all." Stiles replied with more sarcasm then usual. Isaac was amazing in math, practically one score above or the same with Lydia on every math test. So he knew what Stiles was getting at here.
"You want me to help her in math?" Isaac asked, already knowing the answer.
"Please? Would you? I keep trying, and she even had Lydia's notes! She just can't get it." Stiles sighed. Isaac gave him a soft smile.
"So what now? Do I just go up to her and tell her I'm going to tutor her in math, or do I go make nice?" Isaac asked. The lady at the front desk in the office asked for his name, smiling when she remembered him, and handed him his schedule. Stiles quickly snatched it from his hands.
"Sweet! We all have the same math class!" Stiles said as they walked out the door. "Math is after lunch, so I'll introduce you to her properly then." Stiles told him with a nod.
"What if she decides she doesn't like me, what are you going to do then?" Isaac asked as he walked to his locker. He had nothing to put in in yet but he might as well check his combination to make sure it worked.
"Not so sure yet. Malia is getting better at making friends so.... all we have to do is go to lunch and hope for the best." Stiles said with a bright smile on his face.
"She won't like me will she?"
"Nope, probably not."
"Great."
