Blake's POV
The weekend went by too fast. Jayk told me to meet him at the studio. So I went to the studio but I saw Lea in the booth recording a song that's to be her first single. "What is she doing here?" I asked. Lea got out of the booth and gave me a hug. "And what is going on?"
"Blake, I never meant to hurt you a month ago," Lea replied. "Nick and I aren't together because I know I'm not ready to be a mother."
"You were pregnant?" I asked.
"No, not even," Lea slightly laughed. "Nick has a daughter but I'm not ready for that kind of responsibility." I looked at her. "What you saw that night, is out of context. I pushed Nick to the point where he was angry. I had to make sure he wouldn't hit me."
"And if he did?" I asked.
"If I did, I would be in a hospital," Nick sighed.
"But he didn't," Lea nodded. "He murdered my glass of water that I was cleaning up when he kissed me." That ached my heart. "But it was an apologetic kiss. Blake, Nick and I had agree to be friends." I looked at her. "But I'm not sure about us. What are we?"
"Choose your words wisely, bro," Jayk nodded.
"Alexis, you're always going to be my Juliet," I smiled. She smiled as well. "And you're always going to be my number one. The one I will always love."
"And?" Lea asked.
"The one I want to be with," I sighed. "Will you please go out with me?"
"Yes," Lea whispered.
"What?" I asked.
"The song I just recorded, it's dedicated to you," Lea smiled. "And my first single."
"Let me guess," I said. "It's basically saying I'm sorry, can we start over?"
"That's the short version, yeah," Lea nodded. "But you'll just have to wait at my single's release party to hear the song live."
"She's having a release party?" I asked.
"This coming Saturday," Jonnie nodded. "I'll have Drew work with you on writing songs and he'll continue to write for you."
"Thank you," I smiled.
"How is tomorrow at noon?" Jonnie asked.
"One?" I asked. "I wanna treat her to lunch tomorrow."
"One?" Jonnie asked.
"Sounds like a plan," Lea nodded.
"Time for the beach," Nova smiled. "Ready, Lea?"
"Let's go," Lea smiled and grabbed a bag. We found a place on the beach. "I'm glad to be back."
"I'm glad your back," I smiled as I sat down. "I've missed you." Lea sat next to me and I put my arm around her. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine," Lea nodded as she looked at a group. "Why are they playing with fire?"
"Put it out!" yelled one of the girls.
I got up with Lea and saw the fire looking like it was burning something shaped like a body. "Oh no," Lea nodded. "Nick!"
I grabbed a fire extinguisher from my bag. Nick went with me so I can put out the fire. I got it out. "Nick," I pointed.
"Back up," Nick nodded as he put on a glove. He removed the plastic and it was a real body. "Lea, you just opened a case."
"Doesn't mean I want to work it," Lea nodded.
"Do you really want detectives and officers and lawyers coming and knocking on your doorstep?" Nick asked.
"Nick, I don't care," Lea shrugged. "I'll deal with it my way because I'm not working a case."
"She's going to focus on her music," Jayk nodded.
"Especially with my single's release party coming up," Lea nodded.
"Exactly," I agreed. "No case."
"For me, anyway," Lea nodded. "Let's just go home." We all went home and she sat in the living room. "What's the use? I'm good at what I do. That's why I have to be a detective."
"You don't have to be anything," Nova argued. "You chose what you wanna be. You can be anything you wanna be."
"I can be what you want me to be," Lea whispered.
"Now she's writing a song in her head," I smiled. Lea went down to her studio. "Should we follow her?"
"She didn't even noticed I dyed my hair," Nova whispered.
"I knew," Lea called up the stairs. We walked back up to us. "I've been wearing a wig. I got my hair dyed blonde." She took off her brown hair. "Now I'm a blonde and you're the brunette."
"Why did you dye your hair blonde?" Nova asked.
"Jonnie figured it'll be easier to find clothes that will match me better if my hair color was different," Lea nodded. "I didn't mind my hair getting dyed so why not? Anyways, I gotta go work on this song and a dance and I'm going to ask Jonnie if I can perform it."
"Okay," I nodded and Lea disappeared. "Why is she trying to fake it?"
"Lea is Lea," Nova nodded. "Strong, determined -"
"Stubborn," I cut her off.
"That too but she's okay," Nova nodded. "As long as she doesn't forget me in the process."
"Where is Miss Bishop?" asked Jimmy.
"Studio," I nodded. "Something I can help with."
"Officer Anderson and Elmore," Jimmy bowed and left.
"Azalea Bishop is my girlfriend," I nodded. "What can we help you with?"
"I'll go get her," Nova nodded as she went downstairs with Jayk.
"We have a warrant to search the premises," said Officer Elmore as she handed me the court order. "We just need Miss Bishop's to know this."
"What is it?" Lea asked.
"They have a court order to search the house," I replied handing Lea the note.
"Go ahead," Lea shrugged as Officer Anderson left. "I got nothing to hide. Besides, I have a single's release party coming up and I have to perform this new song." Officer Anderson showed up with a glove holding a firearm and whispered to Officer Elmore. "What's going on?"
"Azalea Bishop, you're under arrest," said Officer Elmore as he cuffed her, "for possession of a weapon used in a murder investigation."
"Call my mother's firm and ask for Patrick Gail," Lea stated as she was pulled out the door. "Do it!"
"I got it," Nova nodded as she left.
"My girlfriend was arrested," I was shocked. "She can't possibly kill someone."
"I'll call Nick," Jayk sighed. "This isn't going well, today."
"For Lea, it's not," I nodded. "I'm going down to the department. I have to be there for her." Jayk stopped me. "Let me go, Jayk. I love her and I'm going to be there for her."
