Game of Night

"Don't look at me that way, guys... I'm his fan," Shine added quickly as she noticed their expressions.

Javier broke the silence first.

"Let's play a game," he proposed.

"What kind of game?" Yuzuru asked.

"It's called the Honesty Game."

"Honesty Game?" Shine repeated. It was the first time she had heard of it.

Javier nodded.

"What are the rules?" Yuzuru asked.

"There are no rules, Yuzu. You just have to be honest," Nam replied.

"What are the mechanics?" Shine asked.

"It's simple," Monika explained. "We ask each other questions, and we must answer truthfully. We start with easy questions, then go deeper. No repetition allowed. You can choose NOT to answer a follow-up question."

"What if someone lies?" Yuzuru asked.

"Then that person takes a punishment shot," Nam said with a warning tone.

"Who decides if someone is lying?"

"We vote," Monika answered.

Then Javier took out a shot glass and a bottle of Jack Daniel's and set them at the center of the table.

"If you're caught lying, you take two shots."

"What if you don't want to answer?" Shine asked.

"You drink," Javier said simply. Then he pointed at Yuzuru and Nam.
"And since you two need to train for WTT, I suggest you just be honest. Coach Bi will murder you if you show up hungover."

"And one more thing," Javier added seriously. "Everything we say tonight stays here. Forever. Agree?"

Everyone nodded.

"Then let's start."

The Game Begins

"What's the real score between you and Nam?" Shine asked Monika.

Monika immediately refused to answer and took a shot.

"How far did you get with Allen?" Monika asked Shine.

"We kissed," Shine answered honestly.

"What makes you think Shine faked her death?" Javier asked Yuzuru.

"We didn't get to see her after she died," Yuzuru replied, but everyone could tell there was more.

"Yuzu... I think you should take a shot," Nam said, grinning.

"That's not fair! I am being honest!" Yuzuru complained.

But everyone was already chanting, "Take a shot! Take a shot!"

Yuzuru groaned and took two shots. His painful expression made everyone burst into laughter.

"That's the last shot I'm taking," he declared.

"Nam, do you like Monika?" Yuzuru asked next.

Nam refused to answer and drank.

"Javier, do you think you can beat Yuzu again?" Nam asked.

"Yes, I am," Javier said proudly.

"Monika, do you like someone else besides Nam?" Shine asked. Her mind couldn't help thinking of Allen.

"Of course I like other men. I like Javier and Yuzu!" Monika laughed.

Shine raised an eyebrow.

"You know what I mean," she said, handing Monika the shot glass.
