"What is it?" Savannah asked.
"My parent's put me up for adoption today." I sighed.
They all gasped, "That's horrible." Beth muttered.
Steph put a hand on my shoulder, "It's going to be okay."
It was quiet for a while, "We need to talk." I heard Savannah say.
"What about?" I asked her, this was serious, rarely have I ever seen Savannah this stressed in all the years of our friendship.
"It's about all of us." Beth mumbled.
This was serious, "What are you talking about?" I asked her.
"Well we talked to your parents and they already decided to pay for our college." Steph said looking at the grass.
"When did this happen?" I asked, this wasn't happening.
I heard Beth sigh, "Last summer, he asked us to meet him at the law firm, we have to follow all rules or it's off." Beth explained.
"Are you guys doing what I think you're doing?" I asked them and they all looked down.
"Cassie we didn't want it to happen like this." Stephanie told me and my eyes started to water.
I stood up, "YOU DIDN'T WANT IT TO HAPPEN LIKE THIS, CANCEL THE FUCKING PLAN WITH MY EX DAD!" I screamed, tears running down my face.
"I-we can't, our dream colleges don't have dream prices and we don't play volleyball let alone sports like you, chances like this are once in a lifetime." Savannah muttered.
"You know what?" I asked them, tears streaming down my face, "It's so sad that we were all friends a few minutes ago but money makes you guys blind to the fact where every thing changed." I snatched my bag from the park bench and began my walk home. The one that was peaceful was now blurry and sad. I wiped a tear off my face and it turned my finger black, "Shit." I mutter to myself as I entered the building.
Instead of taking the elevator, I made the decision to take the stairs and I saw the mystery guy there. I turned my face and quickly ran up the stairs and didn't turn until I got to the apartment.
I quietly opened the door and shut it behind myself, then started to take off my sandals. I set my sandals down on the floor and herd Zoe, "Caddie is back!" She shouted in excitement and I groaned.
I heard several feet walking towards me as I continued to cry, "Hey Cassie how'd it go?" I heard Ben ask.
"Where are they?"Jack asked.
Luke added, "Maybe they are trying to scare us."
I looked up and their smiles changed to looks of sympathy, "Maybe they were trying to surprise me." I told them tears streaming down my face.
"What happened?" Calum asked with his arms open.
I choked out a sob and pushed through all of them. I ran straight into my room and slammed my door shut, then slid down it with my head in my hands.
"They are trying to ruin my life!" I screamed.
I got up and went over to my boxes of clothes pulling out a pair of sweatpants and one of Calum's shirts I stole. I changed into them and slid into my bed.
I now had no friends and a new family, yay.
Someone knocked on my door, "Go away!" I shouted at them.
"I'm coming in." I heard Jack say.
"GO AWAY!" I screamed at jack.
"Whatever you say." He sighed and I heard him walk away from the door.
