Scarlett's POV;
I'm really, really scared. We have been missing for a day now, and the rest of the group we have left is trying to figure out where to stay for the night. I don't know if I should give them some ideas, since I literally used to live in the middle of the wilderness, or just stay quiet. I can't even think that Fawn, and some of my best friends could be out there, alone. To make matters worse, Fawn is my only family left. If I lose her, I'll have no one. I shudder at the thought. To make matters even WORSE, if that's even possible, my whole stash of candy is at the CABIN! So I'll also have to go through skittle deprivation on top of all this! But I would give all of my candy just to be able to see Fawn again, and the rest of the group...
"Scarlett! Where did you go?" I heard Kyle yell from 10metres away. I quickly rushed over to where he and the rest of the group was.
"Right here!" I exclaimed.
"Hey, We all decided that we're going to stay here for the night, under this tree. It's not the best, but it's something. I figure you could tell us if a wild animal was approaching, because... Well, you know." Kyle said to me. I could tell with each word he said that he was actually very nervous. Not about himself, but about the people we hadn't found. His own girlfriend, and his sister were out there, as well as some of his best friends. I'm really worried myself. Fawn is out there, possibly by herself. If she dies, I won't have any more family. Now out of that though, I answered Kyle.
"Y-yeah, I can do that... But do you guys mind if I actually sleep up there?" I asked, pointing to the top of the tree.
"... You are one weird kid..." Caden mumbled under his breath.
"I'm not sure if that's a good idea." Kyle said. "What if you fall?" He asked me.
"Oh, don't worry. I'm used to sleeping in trees. One time I got lost back at my old village by myself, and I had to stay out in the forest by myself for the night! Long story short, I slept in a tree." I stated confidently. Caden shot me another weird look.
"Your- your six." He said concerned.
"Y-yes." I said, not enjoying the weird stares I was receiving. Kyle shot Caden a look.
"We weren't raised like 'normal' kids. I'm used to it. We had to survive some pretty rough times... Heck! I didn't even have SKITTLES or any CANDY for that matter to eat back then! I don't know how I survived!" I said, explaining.
"... Okay then..." Caden said, looking concerned. I could tell he didn't understand. Maybe he forgot I was a panda person. I sighed.
"Will you stop giving her that look?" Kyle asked Caden, glaring. I could tell he was saying that for Fawn, he wouldn't stop gabbing about her sometimes. Personally, I found it annoying. But whatever, Kyle was kind of like an older brother to me now, so I'll have to deal with it.
"Yes sergeant." Caden said sarcastically, his hand raised to his forehead, looking like an army man.
"Oh shove off it." Kyle said annoyed.
"I should probably get to bed now.." Mika said. "It's getting pretty late."
"I agree, kid." Tyler said. "Let's go to bed."
So, that's what we did. I fell asleep hoping that when I woke up, this would all be one, big dream.
I woke up a few hours later, and I was still in the same spot as I was the night before.
'So it wasn't a dream' I thought angrily. 'Shoot.' As I opened my eyes tiredly, I saw that Kyle was trying to wake me up.
"Okay, now you're awake." He said.
"Yeah. Why did you wake me up?" I asked him.
"The rest of us were up already, so we figured that we'd let you sleep in for a while longer, then we'll all try to find the cabin again." Kyle explained.
"Okay. Do you think the other four are still there?" I asked him. I really, really hoped that they were. If they're as lost as we are, we may never see them again... I've been trying not to think about things like this, but it was just so hard!
"I hope. I'm just as worried about Fawn as you are kid." He answered, and I could still tell he wasn't just saying that. I could also tell he was really worried about something else, probably the fact that we haven't found Allena either.
"Yeah..." I sighed. I really did miss Fawn. And everyone else... Then I got up and got ready. Ten minutes later, we left to start looking again. No ones POV:
So the group set off to look for the cabin. Around a half hour later, something finally happened.
"Wait- Do I hear barking?" Caden stammered. The whole group stopped dead in their tracks.
"Wait a second... I think I can hear it too!" Mika exclaimed.
"Well what are we waiting for, let's go check it out! Maybe it's Bear!" Scarlett beamed.
"And god knows, wherever there's a Bear, there's a Fawn!" Kyle exclaimed, excitedly. The group started to walk towards the barking. To their excitement, it was Bear. But no one was with him. Bear scampered over to Kyle.
"Hey boy... What are you doing here?" Kyle asked. Bear barked.
"Scarlett.. Translate this for us, will you?" Tyler asked. Scarlett nodded.
"Bear said he smelt us around 15 minutes ago, and decided to follow us. He was with the rest of the group, but when he realized we where close, he left to find us and bring us to the cabin." She explained. Bear barked again.
"He also just added that Fawn practically had an anxiety attack when she realized he was gone. He could sense it. She almost fainted, and when the group told her she shouldn't go after him, she basically did faint. She woke back up after a minute though..." Scarlett added. Kyle looked concerned.
"She is still kind of recovering from being SHOT in the side. Poor kid..." Kyle said worriedly.
"Bear said she's fine, remember? What we need to do is go back to the cabin so we can see them again." Caden said.
"Good idea!" Mika said excitedly.
"Since when did Caden get THOSE." Kyle snapped. Caden laughed.
"A lot more that you think, little buddy." He smirked.
"Shut up." Kyle said annoyed.
"So, can you bring us back to the cabin Bear?" Mika asked. Bear barked.
"He said yes, but then he said there's something else we should know about..." Scarlett said. "What is it, Bear?" Scarlett asked.
"Oh who cares! Let's go to the cabin!" Tyler exclaimed. Bear tried to bark again, but no one heard him again because everyone was to busy making him take them to the cabin. Bear gave in, knowing that when they got to the cabin, no one would be there. Ten minutes later, they got to the cabin.
"Where are they?" Mika asked confused.
"Maybe they're inside?" Tyler suggested.
"Probably." Caden replied, then all five of them ran inside. Bear remained outside, because he knew that the kids would come back at any minute, realizing that the other four were gone.
"Guys?! We're back!!!!" Caden yelled. They waited for a response, but they got none.
"What...? They should BE here!!!!" Mika cried confused.
"Oh no....." Kyle sighed worriedly.
"What happened to them?!?!?" Scarlett cried nervously.
"I don't know!!!!!" Mika replied.
Then everyone started to worry.
"GUYS!!!!" Caden yelled after about ten seconds. The other four looked at him. "Again, when did you-" Kyle began to ask.
"Oh zip it Kyle." Caden snapped, cutting him off.
"What were you about to say?" Tyler asked Caden.
"Maybe the reason why they aren't here is because they went looking for us instead... Or They went looking for Bear, like Bear told Scarlett." Caden answered.
"Yeah, he's probably right!!!!" Mika added.
"So what should we do until they get back?" Tyler asked.
"I say we wait, and if they don't come back in the next hour, we look for them." Kyle replied. "Because I, am NOT spending another full day worrying about those four, especially Fawn and Allena!" He added.
"Good idea." Caden replied. The others looked at him.
"Oh come on!!! He's the one who hates me!!!!" He cried, pointing at Kyle.Meanwhile, Fawn, Allena, Nani and Venus were still out looking for the other five, not knowing that they were already back.
"We've been out here for an hour, and nearly searched every INCH of these woods. where ARE THEY?????" Nani cried annoyed, even though she was still quite worried.
"I don't know, but they've better show up soon... I'm really worried about Kyle... And Scarlett..." Fawn replied nervously.
"Why don't we just go back in a few minutes, then look later." Venus suggested.
"Okay... But I don't know how much longer I can last without having another panic attack..." Fawn answered.
"I agree..." Allena whimpered.
"Let's go guys, who knows, maybe we'll meet them on the way!" Venus exclaimed.
"Oh- okay. I still think we should keep looking though. They could be injured... Or- or lost... Or- or... I can't even say it!" Fawn cried. The rest of the group looked at her to see that she had tears in her eyes.
"It's okay Fawn... I'm sure we'll find them.. I hope..." Allena said comfortingly. Fawn looked to her.
"Thanks... I just don't know what's gotten into me lately... It might just be because the group is gone... But I've been feeling really sad. I mean, of course I'm sad. Who wouldn't be in a situation like this... But I just- I can't even imagine if Kyle got hurt, or Scarlett..." Fawn cried, a tear dripping down her cheek.
"It's okay... I'm worried too. But I know we'll find them." Allena said confidently. Fawn smiled.
"Thanks..." She said.
"Okay guys, let's go back to the cabin. It's getting dark... We don't want to run into some zombies on the way, do we?" Venus said sarcastically.
"Oh dear god no." Nani said.
So that's what the group did. When they finally got back to the cabin, Nani pointed out the obvious.
"Oh my gosh! The lights are on in the cabin!" She exclaimed. Fawns eyes lit up before she ran into the doors, the others closely behind her. When they got into the cabin, the others were in there waiting for them.
"Oh my gosh- I KNEW you guys would show up!" Tyler exclaimed confidently.
"Guys- your okay... I- I was so worried." Fawn cried before Kyle pulled her into a hug.
"I was worried sick about you too, Fawn. Sick to my stomach. I couldn't even imagine if you guys got hurt... Wait- where's Allena?" He asked.
"Right here!" Allena exclaimed.
"I was worried sick about you too. About all of you." Kyle said taking a deep breath in. He pulled Allena into a hug, and then the group talked for a few minutes about what had happened. After a while, Caden came up to Allena.
"I'm really glad you're okay, I was really worried, actually." He said a little shyly.
"Thanks. I'm glad you're okay too." Allena replied. Then Caden hugged her. A few seconds later, Allena saw Kyle out of the corner of her eye, and let go of Caden, not wanting Kyle to get mad at them.
"Are you okay?" Caden asked her, seeing the worried look on Allena's face. She still didn't know if they got caught.
"Oh... I'm fine just... Kyle was pretty close, and I didn't want you to get in trouble. He already seems mad at you enough after you told me that you liked me." She replied quietly.
"Makes enough sense." Caden said smiling.
