Mika's POV

It's been a few days now since the wolf attack.  Allena is starting to feel better, but it still hurts her to do a lot. In fact, some of the older kids like Kyle and Venus have tried to make sure Allena didn't do much work around the cabin at all.  I hope she gets better soon, I like playing with her.
Today, we were running a little low on supplies such as food and firewood, so we needed to go out and get more.
"Man, the weather is crap out there." Nani said as she walked inside the cabin where the rest of us were sitting.
"Yeah," Tyler added. "Winter is definitely coming soon."
"About that... maybe we should all go out and try to find some supplies, maybe even try to find some winter clothes in an abandoned store or something." Kyle suggested.
"We may as well before some other group has the same idea." Caden agreed.
"Okay, so that's settled. How about we all leave in like ten minutes?" Venus asked.
"Well maybe not all of us..." Caden said, looking at Allena, somewhat sadly.
"Why not?" She asked confused.
"It'll be a long walk, plus the zombies are getting pretty bad, more of them just keep coming."
"Oh alright. It'll be lonely though, won't it?" Allena sighed.
"Not if I don't let Scarlett come." Fawn answered.
"AWWWW!" Scarlett cried. I was sad too, now I won't have anyone to talk to on the way there!
Maybe I can stay here too... I thought. So I decided to ask.
"Can I stay here too?" I asked.
"Sure, why not.  Allena's responsible enough, right?" Nani replied jokingly.
"Sure, I-I guess..." Allena said shyly.
"Okay, you three stay here with Gretzky, Bear's coming with me." Fawn stated.
The six that were going packed a few bags with some emergency supplies, and left a few minutes later.
"Allena, you're in charge for the next four hours!" Tyler called jokingly as he shut the door. Scarlett and I looked at Allena.
"What are we gonna do?" Scarlett asked cheerfully. Allena shrugged.
"I don't know, nobody ever really told me what we can and can't do..." She answered slowly.
"So that means we can do whatever we want!" Scarlett cheered.
"Well not anything..." Allena retorted.
"Just things that we would normally would do, I guess." I shrugged.
"Okay... Let's go exploring!" Scarlett exclaimed.
"Oh alright, but just remember that I can't really keep up with you guys if you start running, alright?" Allena stated.
"Alright!" Scarlett and I said in unison.  Then we both laughed.  Sometimes it's almost like Scarlett and I are the same person, we both think the same things all the time!
The three of us went outside, and followed a trail that we all knew well, so we wouldn't get lost. Scarlett and I came across a really good climbing tree, so we climbed as high as we could, Allena staying on the ground because she knew she wouldn't be able to do it.
"It's so cool up here!" Scarlett cried happily. I looked back down at the ground, and realized just how high up we were. The fallen leaves down below just looked like a blur of brown, red and yellow, and leaves from the tree that Scarlett and I were on her floating down right in front of my face.
"Allena, you look so small down there!" I laughed. Allena giggled.
"Do you guys want to go find another tree?" She asked.
"Yeah!" Scarlett and I both cheered.  We started to climb back down the tree, and followed Allena once we came back down to the ground. We continued to follow the trail, when I had an idea.
"Hey, guys... what if we played hide and seek?" I asked.
"I dunno if that's such a good idea... We could get lost..." Allena replied nervously.
"Oh come on, Allena! Pretty please?" Scarlett pleaded, making big puppy dog eyes.  Allena sighed after a moment.
"Okay, okay. We can play hide and seek." She stated. Scarlett and I cheered.
"Can you count for us?" I asked.  I wanted to find the best hiding spot in the world with Scarlett.
"Uh, sure!  I'll count to sixty while you guys hide." Allena replied as she turned around to face a tree.  She put her hands over her eyes and started to count.
"One.... two.... three.... four..."
"Scarlett, let's team up, so we can find a great hiding spot!" I whispered quietly.  Scarlett nodded her head in agreement and followed me.
"Eight.... nine.... ten...."
"Should we hide in a tree?" Scarlett asked me when we were far enough.
"Probably not.  Allena isn't allowed to climb trees for at least another week, remember?" I reminded her.
"Thirteen... fourteen... fifteen... sixteen..."
"Let's keep going!" Scarlett exclaimed, grabbing my hand and running further into the woods.  After a while, I couldn't even see, or hear Allena anymore.
Should we go back? I thought to myself, but set that thought aside when I saw the perfect hiding spot.  There was a clump of rocks that Scarlett and I could just hide behind.
"Let's hide over here!" I said, pointing to the rocks.
"Awesome!" Scarlett cheered as we ran towards them and made ourselves as small as possible.
We sat under the rocks for a long time, at lease six minutes.
"I'm tired.  Where's Allena?" Scarlett whined.
"I don't know.  Maybe our hiding spot is so great, that she has no idea where we are!" I suggested. I was mostly saying that to reassure myself that Allena hadn't gotten lost, or that we hadn't gone too far away. Five minutes later, I started worrying again.
"Wouldn't she have given up by now?" I whispered.
"Maybe... Should we tell her where we are?" Scarlett asked. I nodded my head.
"Allena! We're over here!" I called out. The only thing I got in reply was a couple of birds flying out of a tree in fright. I looked at Scarlett, and she shrugged.
'Try again," She ordered, "She can't be too far away from here!"
I cupped my hands together and yelled, "Allena! Where are you?" Scarlett and I were calling out for a good two minutes, when we gave up.
"Let's go back to the cabin, maybe she's waiting for us there." I stated.
"Okay." Scarlett agreed quietly.
We walked in silence for a while, but we had absolutely no idea where we were going.  I looked over at Scarlett and saw tears in her eyes.
"Scarlett, what's wrong?" I asked concerned.
"I'm scared.  We're lost! I don't remember which way we came from, and I dunno where the cabin is! What if we never find it?!" She explained.
"I've been trying not to think about that... Let's just keep walking, someone will find us eventually," I reassured her, "I hope." I added very quietly.
