Allena's POV
Everything has been fine for the past week or so. Nobody has gotten lost again, or shot, or anything like that. life has been normal. Well...As normal as you can get life to be in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. But today the attacks came back...
"This is getting old..." Tyler sighed as the zombie noises came closer. We heard one make a growling noise. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in. I've been through a million and one of these before, but I still almost have a panic attack every single time!
"Oh will you CAN IT already?!?! we know you're big, scary and demented and like to growl and make weird noises!!!" Tyler yelled sarcastically. Nani and I laughed, and some of my nervousness went away. Nani put her arm around Tyler.
"And this, is why I like you so much!" She exclaimed.
"I see them now..." I said quietly. Then we all started to fight back. Around three minutes after the attack started, there were almost no zombies where I was standing, but a lot over on the other side of the cabin. I decided to go over there and shoot a few of them, just so then they don't go inside or anything. As I turned the corner, one zombie looked at me, and came right towards me. After it was within five feet away, I pulled the trigger on my handgun to shoot it. There was nothing.
'uh oh...' I thought nervously. I tried again, with still nothing. I opened my gun up real quick, and I saw that I had no ammo left. I checked both of my pockets to see if I had any in there, but they were empty as well.
"I've gotta get out of here..." I muttered, seeing nobody else around, As I turned to run away, I noticed that there was another zombie. Then I realized... I was almost surrounded. I knew that yelling only made things worse, as for it attracts zombies, but I had to, otherwise I'd get bit...
"GUYS! HELP!" I screamed nervously, I had no clue what to do other than to try and push the zombies off and escape. But they were everywhere almost. Every time I shoved off one, another one came at me. After ten seconds of this, nobody came. I was starting to get very nervous by now.
"GUYS!!!!" I yelled. Still nothing.
''Oh no... Don't let me die, please don't let me... I don't want to, I have to stay here... Please..." I whispered, tears forming in my eyes. then I started to feel a little dizzy, and spots were forming in my vision. I put a hand up to my neck to see if I had gotten bit, but I didn't feel anything. I tried to scream again, but I couldn't get the words out. I felt like I was going to faint.
'Please... No....' I thought again. Then The world went black.Fawns POV;
The zombies seemed to never end. One after the other and another after the next. I managed to shoot around 3 of them by now, but they were slowly starting to die out. Despite this, I shot one more and decided to go look around for Bear. I hadn't seen him in a while and- oh my god. I stop right in my tracks. In a patch of thicket a few seconds away from the previous spot where I had been fighting- lay Allena. Oh no oh no oh no. I thought. Before I had time to think of this, I saw a zombie with blood shot eyes begin to march towards her, staggering with each step, bloodthirsty. It had its eyes fixed on Allena. Crap, I thought. I quickly ran over to the zombies and managed to shoot 3 of them, while Bear took on a few of the others.
"Allena?" I said nervously, trying to see if she was awake or not. She lay motionless, except for the rise and fall of her chest. At least she's alive, that's a start... I thought, trying to make the best out of the situation. I try to pick her up so I can bring her to the cabin, but failed to do so. Allena weighed a bit more than I do, me being one of the shortest of the older kids. I decided to go find Kyle. I know she does this sometimes, faints and all that. I found him a few seconds later, shooting the last of the zombies.
"Hey... Kyle?" I asked, a little nervous to tell him what had happened.
"Yeah?" He replied, now looking at me. He saw the worry on my face.
"What's wrong?" He asked concerned.
"Well... I think Allena fainted, but there's something else..." I began.
"What is it?! Is she okay?! Where is she?" He asked nervously.
"There were a few zombies around where she fainted and I have no clue if they attacked her or not..." I answered. He suddenly looked really worried.
"Oh no... I have to find her!" He almost yelled, then he ran off really fast. I was not far behind him. When he saw her he ran over to her and knelt down beside her.
"Oh no... What happened? Do you know?" He asked worried, still looking at her.
"No... Sorry... I was just coming over here to find Bear, and I saw her laying here..." I explained.
"Well, she doesn't look like she got bit or anything, she probably just got scared, poor kid..." He sighed.
"Oh thank gosh... What do we do then?" I asked, relieved that she didn't get bit, or attacked. She was one of my best friends, after all.
"She'll probably just wake up in about two minutes or so." Kyle replied. We waited there for a while, but she showed no signs of waking up... After five minutes had past, she was still passed out. Kyle suddenly looked even more worried.
"What's wrong?" I asked him.
"Well... How do I put this... I was told a while ago that if Allena doesn't wake up in about four minutes after she faints, I had to go get help, because something might be really wrong with her... I just don't know what that would be." He explained quietly, and a little anxiously.
"And I also can't very well get help right now, either." He added.
"Oh... Is she okay?" I asked worriedly.
"I don't know... I really hope so, I have no clue what I would ever do without her... Please wake up!" He cried looking at Allena again. Still no reply. I was starting to get worried myself, Allena has never fainted for this long...
"You know what, I'm taking her inside, just in case the zombies come back. I have no clue what's going on with her, but whatever it is, it's probably not good. Can you tell the others what happened for me?" Kyle asked.
"Sure." I said. Then I turned around and walked inside. When I got there, most of the group was in the cabin already.
"There you are! We were starting to get a little worried!" Nani exclaimed.
"Wait a second... Where's Kyle?" Tyler asked me.
"And Allena for that matter." Mika added.
"Well... Allena fainted." I replied.
"Where is she?" Venus asked.
"I think she's in her room, but she hasn't woken up yet... She's been out for the past six minutes." I explained sadly. I really, really hoped that it wasn't serious. The group looked shocked.
"Oh no... What are we gonna do?!" Caden cried nervously.
"Is she okay?!" Scarlett added.
"I have no idea." I answered, trying to hide my fear. I didn't want them to know how worried I was. Just then, Kyle came back.
"Did she wake up yet?" Caden asked him anxiously.
"Nope." He replied.
"What happened to make her faint?" Nani asked. Kyle explained what happened to the group. They looked shocked again.
"Well... If someone gets bit... You know what you have to do..." Tyler said a little sadly. I knew what he meant. Kyle looked rather mad.
"No. I'm not shooting her. I can't. Allena's my younger sister, I'd never be able to live with myself... And she's not going to die anyway! She can't! Why would you even think of that?!" He retorted.
"Sorry man... By the way you described it, I thought that she might've gotten attacked or something like that." Tyler apologized.
"It's alright, but I am NOT doing that. She has to wake up, I... I have no clue what I would do without her..." Kyle replied looking at the ground.
