No ones POV;
That night, the whole group slept in later than usual, for the fact that everyone in the group was fine for once again. That day, the group spent their time doing things around the cabin, such as gathering supplies and making trails.
"Haha! Your it!" Scarlett giggled, as Mika ran away quickly. Mika shrugged.
"I'm coming to get YOU!" She teased, and Scarlett ran away. Scarlett decided to climb up a tree to get away.
"Hey! You KNOW I can't do that!" Mika cried sarcastically, smiling.
"The perks of being a forest kid!" Scarlett laughed. All of a sudden, something caught the corner of Mika's eye. While Scarlett was looking away, Mika decided to look closer.
"H-hello?" She asked sceptically. All of a sudden, someone tapped Mika on the shoulder. Mika turned around. Standing before her was a tall man dressed in a grey suit, and a woman dressed in a grey dress skirt and button work shirt in a bun. They both looked at Mika seriously.
"Hello?" Mika asked nervously. Scarlett quickly ran up next to her, and seeing the 2 adults, almost fell over.
"Who in the love of Skittles are YOU?" She asked. Mika looked at Scarlett worriedly.
"Don't be rude." The woman snapped.
"Anyways, we are part of an organization made to help children who are alone in the apocalypse. Someone informed us that there was a rather large group of children who had a base in this very forest. This led us to you girls. Where are the rest of you?" The man asked, looking down at Mika and Scarlett.
"Why?!" Mika demanded, now getting impatient. Not knowing who they were, they could be out to give Fawn and Scarlett to the military for all she knew. They didn't even introduce themselves.
"Don't be foolish, stupid girl. Bring us to the others." The man said sternly.
"I- oh ok..." Mika said, unsure of what to do. Scarlett looked at Mika nervously.
"We'll show them to the older kids." Mika whispered. The man shot her a look. Scarlett and Mika brought them over to the cabin. The 2 adults looked at everything cautiously, as if something was going to jump out of the bush.
"Here's-" Scarlett was about to say Kyle, but she was interrupted.
"Who are you... And why are you on our property?" Kyle asked, glaring at the men.
"How dare you speak to an adult like that. Just one of the many things we will have to fix when you are all in our custody..." The woman sneered.
"What?!" Kyle asked angrily.
"We are part of an organization that has the authority to take children that are alone in the apocalypse, and get them enrolled in school, and rooms to sleep in. You will all have to come with us." The man said authoritatively. Kyle took a step forward.
"We are not going with you." He stated.
"I'm afraid that's not entirely up to you." The man grinned.
"For all we know, you could be 2 military people trying to take Fawn and Scarlett from me- from us again! I'm not going through that again... Not going to loose anyone anymore... " Kyle said, looking at the ground.
"Yah yah, too bad. Your all coming with us. And if we have to make you come by force, believe us, we will. We have the governments word to help children." The woman stated, slyly. The group glared at them.
"We AREN'T coming with you!" Caden yelled angrily.
"You can't force us!" Tyler added.
"Ahem..." The man interrupted. "I believe as Mrs. Slight has just stated, we can."
"And we will, if we have to." The woman added again, clip board in hand.
"Well then I'll guess you'll HAVE to!" Scarlett defended.
"Yeah!" Mika exclaimed.
"Do you children really think you know what to do?" The woman said, looking down at Scarlett and Mika.
"Watch it." Fawn growled. "She's my sister, and she's my friend." She added.
"Does the animal think she knows how to handle the situation?" The man said grimacing. Fawn shut right up.
"Wait- h-how did you-" She began to say.
"Word gets around." The man interrupted. "Your little group isn't as safe as you think. Such a shame you children are so uneducated for you to think that it's safe to hang out with half breeds." He added. Now it was Kyle's turn to get defensive.
"How could you even SAY THAT? They're just as safe to be around as we are! They- they shouldn't be treated differently just because they're panda people! Come on!" Kyle said defensively.
"Y- yeah... I've known Fawn for a while now! I could trust her with my life! In fact- she probably saved my life the other day for finding me!" Allena added, smiling at Fawn. Fawn smiled back.
"Pity... You do know they could lunge out at you any second know! Infect you with rabies- kill you even! They're dangerous creatures! Beasts even!" The woman said to the group, glaring at Fawn and Scarlett. Mika realized this is why she was so nervous something was going to jump out at her before. Fawn looked startled. Kyle looked angry.
"Now, before we argue any further about this debate, you are all coming with us. Since you have so eagerly stated that you would not come without reinforcement, we brought some." The man said, gesturing towards the door. All of a sudden, 10 people in black stormed through the door. People figured they must have ordered 2 people for Kyle.
"You wouldn't." Caden growled.
"Oh, we would." The woman stated flatly. "Go get them, only hurt them if it's mandatory." She added. The room burst into disaster. People running, kicking, yelling, and defending each other. But, after a 10 minute long fight, only 1 person needed to be caught. It was Fawn. She had run outside to find Bear, to ask if she could bring him.
"Sorry to leave like that... Um- I was wondering if I could bring my dog? He's really friendly- and-" Fawn said quietly. The 2 main adults looked at each other.
"No. It might be vicious. We couldn't take the chance. Filthy animal, just like you." The woman laughed. All of a sudden Fawn looked furious.
"If you... Honestly think, even for a second, that BEAR, MY Bear, is vicious. Your brain must be clogged." She said angrily. The man and the woman looked at each other again.
"One more word about the dog, and we'll shoot it. Also, we've decided we don't want to hear from any half breeds anymore, so one more word from you or the little one and there will be consequences." The man said sternly. Fawn practically looked red.
"You- But- You can't do that! He- he-" Fawn tried to string together a sentence, forgetting she wasn't allowed to talk anymore.
"Charles- teach her a lesson." The woman sneered.
"NO!" Kyle yelled, trying to break free from the man who was holding him. All of a sudden, the man who was supposedly named 'Charles' came up to Fawn and kicked her down to the ground. After kicking her a couple more times, he grabbed her by the arm and lifted her up, so she was being held captive like all of the others. Fawn almost yelled out in pain, but then remembered she wasn't allowed to speak. She looked over at Scarlett and saw the scared look on her face. Fawn gave an encouraging smile, although on the inside she was really worried. After 5 minutes of arguing and resisting, the group finally gave in and let the strange people lead them to wherever they were going. Despite the fact that she wasn't allowed to talk, Fawn yelled out to Bear to let him know that the cabin door was open, and he can go there for shelter. This resulted in one of them men punching her in the neck.
"Easy- easy. It looks like she was shot in the neck not too long ago." The man in the suit said. For a few seconds, the group thought that he was actually being kind.
"You don't want to carry her, do you?" The man added. Then the group realized he was just being selfish. Kyle growled.
"Do we have 3 vicious animals with us today, because I thought there were only two." The woman said menacingly. Kyle glared at her.
"Will you just-" He started.
"Quiet, kid. We're close to the town anyways, calm it." The man holding Kyles arm said. Kyle made a face that looked as if he'd been hit by a car, which Caden had to problem pointing out. This resulted with Caden being kicked in the side and shutting up for the rest of the trip.
"Well, we're here." Said the woman. They were standing in front of a large building, that looked like a run down recreational centre. The group looked shocked. Allena especially.
"Wait... What are you going to DO with us exactly?" She asked worriedly.
"If I've said it once, I've said it a million times. We're taking you here and putting you in school, so you can all get LESS STUPID-" The woman answered, but was cut off.
"HEY!" Caden said, obviously offended. He was kicked in the side again.
"We told you to shut up." The man who kicked him said plainly. Caden pouted.
"... Fine." He mumbled.
"Don't interrupt. As I was saying, we are going to enrol you in a school, which is located inside the building. Once we see what level of intelligence you are at, we are going to see if anyone wants to adopt you- strange group of children." The woman explained.
"Wait- what if we get separated? I don't want to go alone..." Allena asked nervously.
"Oh, you will." The woman answered slyly. "I don't think anyone would want to adopt two of you strange children. You'll most likely get split up." She added. Fawn looked upset. Once again, she forgot she wasn't supposed to speak.
"But- what if we have siblings? Like real siblings? Can't we stay with them? And when can I go back to get my dog? He can't feed himself!" Fawn asked nervously, forgetting she wasn't supposed to speak.
"... Stupid, stupid girl." The man holding Fawn mumbled silently. Kyle shot him a glare.
"Take her ahead to the isolation room with any of the other kids who wish not to follow the rules. We can let the person in charge of that group decide what to do with her from there." The man in the suit said with a deadly smirk on his face. Fawn all of a sudden looked scared. Scarlett looked concerned.
"Wait, w-what? No! Wait!" Fawn cried nervously, as the person holding on to her arm dragged her off into the strange building.
"HEY! LEAVE HER ALONE! PUT HER DOWN JUST- JUST!" Kyle yelled, quite loudly, before the door slammed behind them.
"Would you like to join her?" The man in the suit asked ignorantly. "We won't have a problem putting you in there as well." He added. Kyle went red with anger.
"YOU CAN'T DO THAT! SHE WAS JUST ASKING A QUESTION AND YOU- YOU, wait... What did you do with her?" Kyle asked, still fuming.
"Oh, she went down into the isolation room, in the basement. The people in charge are a lot stricter down there- should straighten her out. We were going to put her down there anyways, she is part animal, after all. Can't take risks these days." The man sighed, pretending he cared. Kyle went even more red, but before he could say something, the woman spoke.
"Oh, I almost forgot. Karl, take the little one down to join her sister in the isolation room, she's one of those things too." She smirked. Scarlett went pale. She looked absolutely terrified. The man who was taking her mumbled a quiet:
"Sorry, kid." And off they went. Kyle looked furious.
"What are you thinking? She's a child!" He yelled angrily.
"I understand that." The man smirked.
"Though I wouldn't say anything about it if I were you, one more rude word out of you and you can join your little girlfriend in the isolation room. I'm not joking around, kid." The man smirked.
"What-but you can't!" Kyle stammered angrily before getting kicked in the side.
"What did I just say?" The man asked him coldly.
"I don't even care-!" Kyle yelled before getting cut off by Allena.
"Kyle please stop!" She cried.
"Well why?! These people are-" He began.
"You're gonna get in trouble! Or even worse, they could put you in the isolation room... I won't be able to see you." Allena explained quietly.
"Oh, that won't be an issue kid." The lady smirked.
"W-what do you mean?" Nani asked.
"The boys and the girls are being separated.  It will be very rare if you ever see him, or the other two again." She explained sinisterly.  They all looked shocked.
"Are... You... Kidding?!" Tyler asked shocked.
"Nope.  I recommend you say your sweet goodbyes now, the girls will be leaving first soon." The man replied.
"You can't! They're our friends!" Mika cried nervously.
"Does it look like I care?" The man asked sarcastically.
"Well, no but, it would be nice if we could all stay together."  Venus replied flatly.
"Well, if you're all so opposed, we may as well separate you seven up now, it will probably take us a while." The lady stated.
"NO!" Allena and Mika yelled at the same time. The people that were back there with the group then began to try and get the girls to go with them.
"You can't do this to them!" Caden yelled, getting up to try and help the girls.  Resulting in another kick to the side.
"Caden!" Allena cried.
"Oh shut up will you?" The man beside her said.
"HEY!" Kyle yelled defensively. Despite the groups effort to keep what was left of the group together, the group was nevertheless separated, and no one knew what to do next.
