I Promise (KHS Short Sasuke Love Story)

Chapter 11

After Sasuke's talk the people who were in the room came back in. I smiled at them, but it was fake. I'm acting like this is no big deal, but inside I'm freaking out. How could this ever happen? Why would I ever do a stupid bet like that?!? Anyways, when I smiled the pink haired and the girl with pale eye's frowned. I put an eyebrow up. They shook their heads. I shrugged it off. It was pretty awkward, so I tried to break it. 

"So my name is Mei Sato, nice to meet you." I said with a genuine smile. They all sweatdropped. "What?" I was now very uncomfortable. "Mei, we know who you are. Were your best friends." The one with pale eye's said. I smiled awkwardly. "Well turns out I forgot who you are, so why not introduce yourselves?" I suggested they nodded. 

"My name is Uzumaki Naruto! I'm going to be Hokage one day! BELIEVE IT!" The blond with whiskers said. So he wants to become mayor. "ALRIGHT!" I fist bumped the air. He gave me a toothy grin. I saw the girl with pale eye's blush. I smirked. 

"NARUTO SHUT UP!" Yelled the pink haired one. Once she hit the back of his head she turned to me and smiled. "I'm Haruno Sakura, you're best friend! I tell you everything and you tell me everything also." She smiled again. I smiled back. 

The next one to talk, or stutter was the girl with pale eye's. "I'm Hyuuga Hinata, also your best friend." She said with an adorable smile. I ran up to her and hugged her. "YOU'RE SO ADORABLE!!" I screamed while she blushed.  I saw Naruto nod. I smirked. 

"I'm Temari." The blond with 4 pigtails said. I nodded. "I'm Tenten!" Yelled the girl with buns. "Shikamaru." Said the pineapple head and yawned. "Sai, it's nice to meet, or meet you again." Said the one with straight black hair. I knew his smile was fake. "I'm Choji." Said the chubby one eating his potato chips. I smiled. 

"And I'm Ino! I'm better than the billboard brow!" Yelled the blond with a high ponytail. "SHUT UP INO PIG!" Sakura yelled as they were fighting Shino, Neji, Lee, and Kiba introduced themselves. So remember anything?" Naruto asked me.

Sasuke POV

She thought hard. "I think I remember you, Kiba." She said pointing at him. He blushed. "What do you remember?" He gulped. "I think we were inside a classroom. You were telling me something important, but oh well. I forgot." She smiled. She remembered when he confessed??! Out of all the things. 

"Anyways, do any of you have my phone, I need to call my boyfriend." She said casually. My eye twitched. "What do you mean, Mei?" Hinata asked. "Oh, I don't remember if you met him or not. His name is Yuta." She said looking for her phone. "Who the hell is Yuta?" Sakura asked. You could tell she was angry, but not as angry as I was. 

She started at us with a blank expression. "Don't tell me we broke up or anything. Why would that happen? He told me he loved me." She was breathing hard. This hurt. It hurt a lot. If I weren't an Uchiha than I would be crying. 

Everyone stared at me and her. I sighed. "Everyone out." I pushed them out leaving with a confused Mei. "What wrong?" She asked me desperate for answers. Should I tell her? Crap what do I do?

"Um Mei, a few weeks ago a guy came and knocked on the door. You called him an asshole and slammed the door in his face." I looked at her and of course she had a blank expression. I couldn't just leave her like that. 

"You told me it was your ex boyfriend, Yuta." I saw her flinch. "You said he cheated on you with your ex best friend.' I said lowly. She stared into space. "Mei?" I called out. I saw one single tear escape her left eye. "Oh." She was now staring at nothing. "Don't worry about the basstard, you have me." I was about to hug her, but she retreated. "It's alright. Um, can I go home now." No emotion in her voice what so ever. 

I looked at her confused. I sighed in defeat. "Yeah, after the nurse checks up on how you're doing." I said and left out of the room. It was hard enough when I told her I loved her, now she had no memory of me. Just when we were kids. How am I going to tell her I love her again? Why does life supposed to be so complicated! I sighed as I went to go sit down.

"So Sasuke how did it go?" Sakura asked me. She's annoying as ever. "I told her she broke up with the basstard who fucked her best friend." I said calmly, but then I was hit on the head. "YOUR AN IDIOT! YOU LEAVE A SUICIDAL GIRL ALONE AFTER TELLING HER, HER BOYFRIEND CHEATED ON HER!" My eye's widen. SHIT 

I ran into her room only to see her crying and clutching her head. I kneeled beside her. "Are you okay?" I asked trying to reach out for her, but she flinched. "WHY WON'T THE BAD MEMORIES GO AWAY!" She screamed as she cried more. "Mei, calm down. It's alright you have me." I said in  a rather sweet tone. She glared at me with hatred. I was shocked. 

"No one is ever there for me! When they say they are they leave me in the end! They say they love me, but end up leaving me! They end up hurting me physically and emotionally!" She yelled again. I hugged her. She tried to get out of my grasp, but then gave up. 

"It's alright, you have Konoha, you have your friends. You have me." I whispered in her hair. She cried even more. "Did he go away?" She asked softly. "Who?"

"The bad man who always hurt me." She cried again. Her step dad? 

"Yes, he's gone. He's far away and he can't hurt you anymore. I won't let him. I would never let anyone hurt you." I was hurt that she felt this way. "Promiss?" She cried again. "Promiss." We sat there hugging each other. No one was tempted of letting go. I suddenly  heard her steady breathing. I let go and she was sleeping. I laid her in the hospital bed. I smiled on how much I loved her. On how much a person could care for one another. I kissed her forehead. 

"I promise." I whispered to nobody and went to go check with the nurse. What I didn't know was that this simple promise, is going to change everything...

So there you go, another chapter done! Boom! So in a couple of chapters this book is going to end sadly. This is supposed to be a short story, I don't know.Anyways, yes I thought it was necessary to put a cliffhanger. Also, thanks again you guys for reading!
