"Can we go to see her?" I pleaded, pushing the remaining food in my mouth.
I had to admit I was being a little rude for not even asking whether they wanted something to eat or not. But, we have other things more important than this, right?
"Well yeah, we can go. But I already visited her earlier," Lissa said, hesitantly.
"Then this time, accompany me," I said jokingly. But, I really was glad they were working on their relationship. Lissa going to meet Jill would surely be a significant step in their relation. Thank goodness!
"Can't. I have got a meeting with the Royals." Lissa said wearily. "And unfortunately, I can't delay this meeting."
Attempting to be a sensible guardian, I simply nodded and swallowed my curiosity about this meeting. I turned towards Dimitri and Sparky expectantly.
"I'm also busy with...... my stuff." Christian said, trying to sound nonchalant, but failing entirely.
"The same stuff that kept me from meeting you earlier?" I said rhetorically. Of course, I knew it was that stuff he was hiding from me earlier.
"Yep," he said dismissively.
I felt a tiny bit better when I found out Lissa regarding him curiously. Atleast I'm not the only one out of the loop.
"And since, he is not coming,..... " Dimitri trailed off, his eyes conveying I'm sorry.
"I understand your reason, comrade." I smiled at him and held his hand.
He squeezed my hand lightly.
"I get it. I'll go alone." I said quickly, watching Christian opening his mouth to say something - no doubt something about love is in the air and all that stuff.
I got up to dump my tray, with the others behind me in a tow. We set out in opposite sides, me and Lissa on one and Christian and Dimitri on other.
"I'll see you later, Liss." Christian quickly kissed her forehead before going to his room, Dimitri following him.
Lissa then followed me to the hospital, and I suddenly realised we were actually alone after so much days. Actually having a, well, a bestie's short walk. I have to tell Lissa about Feodora. And that too now. Heavens knows when I'll have alone time with her like this.
"I have to....." We both started simultaneously. Apparently, she felt the same.
"You first," she said, laughing.
"No, you!" I insisted.
"Well.... okay, I'm going to St.Vlad's next week." She said. "And I would like to take you with me." She tacked it along. A little later.
As if she was afraid I would decline her request. As if I was more busy (which, technically, I was) but she should be knowing better than this.
Well, by the word busy, it meant I had my punishment, I had my extra trainings and also, I had to work on the unsolved mystery of Feodora Ivashkov. But as always, I complied.
They comes first.
"Sure liss. When are we going?...... and why?"
"You see Kirova wants to resign from her post as headmistress and......"
"What? That bitch wanna resign? Why? She wants to die?" I was sure she was going to live another 100 bitch years, but one can hope. "That is a good news!"
"Everythinng's not sorted yet. She wants to resign from her post. Don't know why, but I got the vague rumours that she wanted to enjoy her life or something."
"Rubbish! She was enjoying her life there, torturing her students. Why would she want to quit?"
"That's why we are going there, to find the answers. And make her stay. If she doesn't listen, I am thinking of making Sonya Karp as the new headmistress." She glanced at me.
"That again is a good news!"
"I know." Lissa smiled. "Now your turn."
As soon as she said that, I saw Greg running across the lawn.
"Go. We'll talk later, Queen Vasilisa," I made a sweeping gesture and went inside.
"Wait!" Lissa called, her anxiety and regret - anxiety about what would be the topic of Rose's interest and regret for not letting me speak earlier - was clear in her voice. "Tell me now."
"Later, Liss," I yelled back to her.
I went to the receptionist and gave her the name. She gave the same room number Lissa had been in.
"Knock knock," I said, speaking in a duck's voice. She would never guess who is quacking at her door.
"Come in, Rose," she said, a smile in her voice.
"How did you know I was making that sound?"
"Because you're Rose Hathaway?"she said questioningly. "Only you do such nonsense."
"Maybe that's right." I said. Then I paused. "How are you?"
"I'm fine." She said, a serious tone in her voice.
"What happened?" I knew the story but listening from a victim is more nice.
"A group of humans attacked us. I mean, me, Adrian and Eddie."
Such vague answers. She was Jill, for God's sake. This means she's not really fine.
"Jill......"
"Yeah, Rose?"
"Are you really feeling okay?"
"I am...."
"Screw that and tell me the truth."
She fell silent, thinking whether to tell me or not. Then she spoke, slowly and clearly.
"Well, it doesn't really hurts, but I'm feeling like I experienced great pain but I don't have scars as their evidence. Like something is missing, you know." She blabbered on, becoming more like the Jill we all knew. "And then there is a weird feeling of a god awful hangover. But I don't remember being drunk. I don't drink, in the first place.
And then there's the most intriguing thing, I can feel I have a bond with someone. Oh God! Like I'm reading someone's emotions. And I'm pretty sure it's Adrian. But how? I don't want to feel his emotions, mine are enough for me to suffer......"
She blabbered on, oblivious to my shock.
Good lord!
She doesn't know she's shadow kissed. She only thinks something weird is happening between her and Adrian.
And how lucky is she to know she's shadow kissed from an ex shadow kissed.
Karma truly is a bitch.

A/n: Hey guys! New update! At least I made it faster than the last time.
So you see, while writing, I have been thinking who would be Jill? What do you think? Which actress would suit for her role? Awaiting your answers ;)
