"You met Jill?" Christian asked, crossing across the lawn. "How's she?" I peered around Christian, vaguely listening to his questions, my eyes searching for Dimitri.
Where's he?
"Yep. She's fine." Apart from her being shadowkissed.
"Good. So, what are you going to do now?" He asked hesitantly.
"Me? I think Lissa needs me." I lied. I was going to search Dimitri - starting from his room.
"She's in a meeting. Let's hangout!" He said, a little too excitedly.
SOMETHING'S UP.
"Drop this excited and polite crap. No one expects you to be polite, Sparky, least of all, me. What's up?"
"I just bought a new video game!" He admitted.
Well, this is good news.
Dimitri can wait.
I immediately made my face serious. "Then, what are we waiting for?! I'll race you!"-- One hour later --
"That was so much fun, Christian! Let's play tomorrow too, please?" I said, keeping the console aside.
"Definitely," He enthused, real pleased about something.
Maybe he and Lissa are going to, err, be, err, sex-y tonight.
"Okay then, I'll go now." I turned towards the door, picking my phone off the table.
Three missed calls - Lissa.
Oh God!
I bolted outside the door as fast as I could, making my way to her room/ mansion.
Greg was outside the room, guarding, as usual. God, he has better chance to take my place than me.
"Lissa okay?" I called, catching my breath.
"Queen Vasilisa is fine. She just wanted to talk to you about something important," He said.
I welcomed myself in her room. "Liss! Where are you?"
"In here, Rose." She called from the other room. I thought about going inside, then...... who would do that hard work?
I lazily fell on that softest bed of hers, closing my eyes, savoring the feeling.
"I see you came here to sleep." Lissa entered, looking more beautiful than ever.
"Whoa, Liss. What is this?" She was wearing a dark green sequin studded knee-length dress, her hair tied in a loose bun, with her legs flaunting her silver heels. She looked just perfect.
Definitely sex-y tonight.
"I'm going at Zeklos's party. Same as Priscilla Voda's that happened earlier," She explained. "Am I looking okay?"
"Okay? Not okay. You're looking perfect!" I said. "Is Christian coming?"
"Who has time for me?" She pouted. I looked at her questioningly. Surely, she was not still angry with him?
"You met Jill today? How's she?" She quickly said, changing the subject.
I opened my mouth to yell at her,"Don't change the subject!", but then I remembered something. "Tell me something."
"Yeah? "
"Jill told me that you didn't go to meet her." I glared at her accusingly.
She didn't go - I don't mind. But why did she lie? That was what that had me disturbed and confused.
"I'm going to meet her," She said, raising her hands, "....tomorrow."
"Whoa miss, you said you already met her. Why did you lie?" I asked curiously.
She hesitated. "I'll tell you later. I'm going to be late." She turned to look into her oversized mirror and, rather unnecessarily, fixed her already perfect attire.
Fine. I have ways to find everything I want. Well, except for Dimitri.
My inner voice yelled at me - tell her about Feodora, you forgetful bitch!
"You remember I wanted to tell you something earlier today?" I said slowly. "When you were telling me about making Sonya headmistress?"
"Oh yeah!" She immediately turned around, earlier guilt showing on her face. "What was that about?"
I narrated her everything that happened since I woke up.
"So you see, when I was sorting the papers, I saw a name." I fidgeted with my fingers. "Feodora Ivashkov."
"Someone from Ivashkov clan. You know how big that family is. Usual." She said. "Is this really that interesting, Rose? Since I don't see it like that." She frowned at me.
"It will be interesting to you if you know about her specialization......" I trailed off, hoping Lissa could get what I'm saying.
Her eyes widened and her mouth was literally touching the ground. "Do you mean -"
"Sorry to interrupt you, Your majesty, but Lord Ozera is here to pick you up for the dinner." Greg peered inside the room, visibly uncomfortable for disturbing The Queen.
"Okay, tell him that I'll join him in few seconds." Greg nodded and took his nosy head out of the door.
"Liss, I think you have guessed enough." I pushed her to the door, not wanting her to be late - well, because of me. "Besides, as much as I have heard, Sparky is not that patient."
"But who --"
"No buts and whos. Go now. I don't want our Queen to be late. This will not be a nice gesture," I said in mock horror.
She laughed before waving at me sadly and disappearing through the door.
Atleast, Christian and Lissa are sleeping in separate room tonight.
Well now, I have nothing to do. I looked at the big antique clock near the bed. Almost 3 in morning - according to humans of course. It's not even time to bed.
Still, I trotted to my room, thinking about my time with Jill.Karma truly is a bitch.
"What happened rose? Say something." She gazed at me nervously. "Am I going mad?"
"No sweetie." I placed my hand on her head, stroking her hair gently. "You're not mad. But now something special has happened to you. You are special."
Despite her reluctance, I saw a twinkle in her eyes. "Me? And special? How?"
"I'll tell you this when you will be out of this crappy hospital room. Till then, I suggest you to rest, take care of you," I paused. "And Adrian, and don't let his emotions overpower you. And pretend this all is normal." As I did initially.
"Okay." She gave me a confused glance but still, agreed. She had to agree. Afterall, I'm a legend.
"Didn't Lissa come to meet you?" I asked suddenly. "How did you feel?"
"Lissa?" She asked. "When did she come?"
"She said she came to see you, earlier." That's what she told me, right?
"Eh? No, Rose, she never came to meet me." At that, her face fell slightly.
How can Lissa do this?!
"Okay." I turned towards the door. "I'll let you rest. Goodbye."
"See you soon, Rose." She winked before closing her eyes.
She must be - unnecessarily - worried now, about her specialty. I should have stopped my big mouth there only.
Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!"Hey, guardian Hathaway! Watch your step!" Edward called to me, breaking me from my reverie.
I glanced around me, only to see I was a few steps away from my room, and a huge box was placed, right in front of me - and I would have fallen on it if not for Edward.
"Thank you, Guardian Ivanov," I smiled at him warmly, before making my way to my room.
I opened the door and......
OH MY GOD!A/N - I'm back!! Sorry for such a lonnnnnggggg waitt! K bye.💗💗💗
