It has been one year since I was forced away from my home. I have been pretty happy, and at some points I even almost forgot about Gavin. That was untill the honeymoon. What I am guessing is that after I left, Gavin had visited May and things happened. Suddenly, they are married and she's pregnate with their first child. Under normal circumstances I would have never found out and lived on as a happy girl, maybe even fallen in love again. But fate was not that kind.

It was a normal Tuesday afternoon. Buisness had been slow, so I busied myself with cleaning the counter. The bell by the door rings and I look over my shoulder to see a young couple walk in. I wasn't paying much attention at the time so I didnt notice anything about them. I wish I sad, so I could have ran as fast as I could away from the impending heart brake. But I didn't, and that was my downfall. The couple walks over to an empty booth and I gather up my notepad a d pencil to take their order. I walk up, still not really paying attention, and ask them if they would like anything to drink, as usual. It was his voice that first caught me. Gavin has this voice like I have never heard before. A voice that single handedly tore my heart open, after an entire year of healing. He orders a Coke and she wants an iced tea, no lemon. I look above the notepad it see their faces. Gavin hasnt changed much, still handsome. May had cut her hair and died it a deep red. They both had rings on their left ring fingers and May was bigger than when I last saw her. How I managed to keep my composure and fill their orders I do not know, but on the inside my heart was slowly whithering away. The worst part was, Gavin didn't even reconize me. May did, and even though she didn't say anything, her eyes were full of hate. The completed their lunches and left, leaving a pathetic tip behind. Once they were gone, I excused myself to the back as I collapsed into a storm of tears.
