The black flowers, the black bouquets, the black hats, the black dresses, and the dreary black coffin, which now holds my mother’s body, were all I could see. They played the last song as they lowered the casket into the earth. A part of me wanted to scream, scream and wail and cry and stomp my feet like a 4 year old and shout about how it wasn’t fair, but no matter how much I wanted to I couldn’t. I couldn’t shed a tear for my beloved mother; something inside my heart wouldn’t let me so I just stared blankly as the buried my mother. I stared blankly as they whispered about me like I wasn’t there.
“Where is she going to stay?”
“Poor girl how is she going to go on?”
“What’s wrong with her she’s not even crying for her own mother, what a dreadful child”.
I stared as the rain pattered down on my head and shoulders before falling onto the green grass. I had no more words, no more reasons, the one person I had left was gone, why bother. I was directed to a black car as my aunt drove me back home.
“I’m so sorry hon.” she voice full of not sympathy but pity as she looked at me through the rear view mirror.
This was all for show, this women truly despises me. She shot glares my way at Thanksgiving, gossiped about me when she thought I couldn’t hear, and scowled everything she saw my face. I sighed
“No thank you, how rude” she mumbled turning her attention back to the road. I knew I wasn’t supposed to hear. We finally reached my house, or should I say my old house because heaven only knows where I’ll be shipped off to.
“Hurry and pack you’re staying with me until we can get a hold of your father”. So that’s where I’m going, last time I saw my dad I was 2.
We used to be close until my parents split up and he moved out of state. He eventually stopped calling, and sending letters. My mom did however get a check from him every month and that’s pretty much what we lived on. I walked to my room in our small little apartment and pulled out a purple suitcase I kept in the closet. I piled my few items into it and rolled it into the living room where my aunt sat checking her nails and making faces at the floor probably thinking about the dirty carpet. Our black cat, Neko, decided to make an appearance now, he crawled from under the stove and sat by my feet. He looked at me with curious green eyes. I bent down and picked him up scratching behind his ear. He purred and I gave him a tiny smile.
“You are not bringing that with you” she said with disgust pointing at Neko.
Neko hissed and I fought a smile, I knew this cat was a good judge of character. I placed him down with a frown and rolled my things to the front door.
“This is the dining room and that is your room, the furniture belongs to my daughter so try your best not to ruin it please.” Aunt Nicole said before sashaying out of the room. I glared at her back sending her the thoughts I couldn’t say. ‘Yes because I have a dying urge to draw on the walls like a 5 year and rip up the pillows like I’m some kind of dog, is that what you were expecting?’. I fell face first into the bed and prayed I wouldn’t be here for long. I crawled under the fluffy pink covers, suddenly tired from the long day, I rested my head on my pillow before shutting my eyes but sleep evaded me and when it finally came I dreamed of things that made me shiver.
I dreamt of the death of my mother.

Vote, comment, etc. Check out my friend Chrissyvamp's story as well please do she was thinking about leaving Wattpad and i really don't want that to happen. Thank you. Message me on any grammar mistakes you find please. I'm being told I'm not being very descriptive so I'll try harder with that from now on. Even though I've made quite a few mistakes I hope you read on to the next chapter. Thanks! I'm passing out random dedications! :) There is a picture of Blair up there somewhere. That's pretty close to my mental image of her. The song so contagious by Acceptance just seemed to go with the chapter to me or maybe I'm biased because its my favorite song XP
