Rosalyn POV.

"And then he just left?"

I nodded sadly at my best friend, dabbing my teary eyes with a tissue.

"It's all my fault," I sniffled. "I'm the worst girlfriend ever. I do this to him all the time."

"Honey, it's going to be okay," Emily squeezed my shoulder. "He loves you so much. You're not the worst girlfriend. Just give him a day or two and call him and bake him some cookies or something."

"What if he realizes he doesn't want to deal with my shit next year," I cried harder. "I can't take another breakup, Emily."

"Ros," she sighed and wrapped an arm around me. "He's not going to dump you. Didn't you say that he told you he's not going anywhere?"

"Yeah," I nodded, my face in my hands. "But what if he changes his mind?"

"This is the problem, Ros," she rubbed her hand soothingly up and down my back. "You don't trust him with your heart. I get it, you've got a guard up but eventually you gotta just let him have your heart. If you two are really planning a future together, you need to let him all the way in."

"You're right," I wiped the remaining tears from my eyes. "I'm gonna go talk to him."

"The boys are doing a performance tonight. You can talk to him in the morning." she told me, leaning us back so we were lying on my pillows, her arm still around me. "The boys come on in like ten minutes. We can watch them together."

"Okay," I agreed, wiping my puffy eyes again. "I'm glad we're friends again, Emily."

"We've been friends again for a while," she laughed softly.

"Yeah, but I don't think I've ever told you just how glad I am that we're friends again," I repeated. "And how glad I am that I'll have you on tour. I'd probably get super lonely without you. I mean, I know we'll be with the boys but when it gets super hectic I'd probably be lonely."

"You're such a rambler," Emily laughed, changing the channel to some talk show I'd never heard of that's set in New York. The boys were already on the screen, and my insides fluttered out of both happiness and nerves from seeing Harry. He was smiling at Niall while the interviewer talked to Louis, and I felt another tear stream down my cheek. I wanted to make Harry smile, too.

"Boys, this will be the first time you've performed this single, correct?" the interviewer asked and they all nodded.

"Harry and I wrote this song a few months ago, when a lot of things were up in the air in our lives," Niall explained. I wondered what exactly he meant by that.

"Anything to do with the women in your lives?" the interviewer asked with a cheeky smile, Emily and I rolling our eyes dramatically.

"You could say that," Harry smirked. "They definitely brought out the best in our songwriting."

"Liam, Louis, do you agree with that?" the interviewer asked, teasingly.

"Definitely," Liam confirmed. "They couldn't seem to stop writing about those girls. It's great for them, and for our career, obviously!"

I could see Harry's cheeks turning a light shade of pink, and I smiled.

"Well, let's hear it!" the interviewer instructed, causing the crowd to go wild as the boys stepped up to their microphones.
