Rosalyn POV.

The next day passed in a blur. I was far too excited for my upcoming adventure with Harry to think about work, even though Caroline and I were working quite hard. We interviewed the two authors we had been working with since I began working here, and they were not easy to work with. During lunch hour, I had lunch with my parents at a little cafe and tried to avoid the third degree about Harry yet again. I got back to work as quickly as possible and promised Caroline I would show her my writing soon as possible.

I arrived home around five fifteen and immediately ran to the shower. Harry and I weren't meeting up until eight thirty, but I still felt the need to rush and get ready. I just wanted to kill time as well, because the anticipation was driving me insane. I had officially decided to tonight would be the night. No more bullshit, it was time to finally tell him that I loved him. I was terrified, but I wanted him to know, and I had to know how he felt. It was what I wanted, after all, and I was still committed to living my life the way I wanted.

"Hey!" Emily greeted, offering me a glass of wine. It would help me calm down a little, so I accepted it. "You and Harry hanging out tonight?"

"Yes," I confirmed. "What about you and Niall?"

"Yeah," she sighed, almost sounding disappointed.

"Aren't you excited about that?" I giggled, sipping the pink moscato from my glass. It was far too sweet, but it would do.

"I am," she nodded, seeming unsure. "It's just, I really like him, Ros."

"That's great!" I laughed, not understanding her dilemma.

"Well," she sighed again as we sat down at the table together. "At first he was just a fun time, but now I'm starting to like him a lot more than I planned. And we're not getting serious, we're just hanging out still."

"So, you don't think he likes you as much?" I asked bluntly, taking another small sip of wine.

"I'm afraid he doesn't," she confirmed. "But I'm going to talk to him about it, I'm not a wimp."

"Good," I laughed at how brave she always seemed to be. Here I was, terrified of telling Harry I loved him, and she was straight up going to ask Niall about being more serious. I was the wimp here.

"Speaking of wimps," she gave me a knowing look. "Have you finally woman-ed up and told Harry you love him?"

"What?" I gasped. "Why would you ask me that?"

"Well, you obviously do?" her eyebrows drew inward, confused that I was confused. "It's pretty obvious, Ros, and he loves you, too."

"How could you possibly know that?"

"I just do," she shrugged. "We've known each other for quite a while, if you've forgotten."

"You really think he loves me?" I bit my lip nervously. Though even I was beginning to suspect he did, it felt amazing to hear it from someone else. Now, I just wanted to hear it from him.

"Definitely," she nodded. "When are you going to tell him?"

"Tonight," I grinned. "If I don't chicken out."

"I'll text you encouragement," she promised. "Now, go get ready."

"Thanks," I hugged my best friend tightly before scurrying off to my room.
