Unsure thoughts

Larry~

"But anyway, Larry you're the one who texted me, what did you need to tell me?"

I paused, is it really necessary now? I mean, maybe Abby is panning something and I should warn Kin, but then what will happen?

"Um... ah, well, same as Laney. Abby may be my sister, but she still is unpredictable." I told him. Reassuring him that that's all I wanted to say.

Kin thought for a moment, then nodded and smiled. "I'll keep an eye out for her," Kin saluted me, as Katrina just sat and ate her ice cream.

"Thanks," I say in reply, then turn back and start to head back home.

It was getting late, the sun had already gone down, but in the distance, storm clouds were rolling in, so it'd be a good idea to get going. I wonder if Laney is home already, can't hurt to check.

I pulled out my phone, and texted Laney.

To: Laney Penn ;P
Subject: no subject
'Hey, Laney are you already at home?'

I waited a few seconds until I got a reply.

To: Larry Nepp
Subject: no subject
'I was just about to ask you the same thing. I don't want to be alone with Abby.'

I read over it and sighed slightly. It kinda annoyed me cause I didn't trust Abby much with this either.

'I'll be there soon. Where are you now?'

I texted, an continued to walk home while Laney send a message back.

'I'm at the park, I'm heading home now.' Laney replied.

I questioned why she was at the park for a moment, but it was probably just to cool off after what happened before. I made a mental note to try and keep Laney's mind off of her band.

'Alright, meet you at home.'

After I texted that I put my phone back into my pocket and started to run back home to get there before Laney.

I followed the path back home, and got there quicker than I thought. Once I made it, I saw Laney come up from the opposite direction.

"Larry, hey" Laney waved, being nervous, which was strange. What happened which was so bad?

"Hey," I said shyly in return.

"Is Abby here?"

"I haven't gone inside yet."

"Okay."

There was silence after that. I mean, Abby was my sister, and I know when she's up to something, but is Laney really that nervous around her? Then again, I would be too if I found out Laney had a brother who was secretly planning something on my band.

"Do you wanna head inside... or...?"

"No, we can head inside." Laney smiled, hesitantly. I smiled back, and then we both went to head inside.

Kin~

Larry walked off after that. Katrina and I caught up for a bit and we talked, I filled her in with what's happening. We finished our ice creams and then started to head back to our own houses, though I decided to walk Katrina home, it was going to storm soon. In fact, once we arrived at Corey's place it poured down with rain. Katrina had to quickly get under the cover of her garage.

"Thanks for walking me home, but should I tell Corey where I've been? He might of been worried." Katrina said, looking to the ground slightly, seeming to be worried.

"No offense, but Corey doesn't know it's you. He'll probably laugh that Trina got soaked." I said. Not trying to be rude, but it was the truth. It kind of made me wonder why Trina was such a bad person.

Ka-trina smiled halfheartedly at that. It was obvious that she was at least a little concerned about Corey, so, I thought quickly and smiled at her.

"Corey's fine, there're some things that he just has to work out by himself." I reassured her. Hoping that'll cheer her up. Katrina looked back up at me and smiled. I nodded to her, and waved, signaling that I'm gonna go.

She nodded and I turned to leave as she pushed the door for her garage open.

Trina will be fine. I just hope that Laney will be too.

Corey's POV

It was true. Trina never called me by that term, she hated being my sister. So it had to be. . .

Katrina rubbed her arm shyly, and looked to her feet. Unsure of what to say. While I stared at her in disbelief.

"So, it's actually you then? But where's Trina?" I asked, lifting an eyebrow. Still unsure if it was still Trina with a 'Ka'.

"Well. . ." She rubbed her arm again, nervously trying to find the right answer. "She's locked away right now. Or, I guess you could say. . . sleeping?" She seemed to question herself. My eyebrow fell.

"So, how long are you going to be like... this?" I asked. Katrina shrugged.

"Hopefully about a week." It was just an estimate, but I took that as an answer. Was she nervous around me? But why? Then, I seemed to finally take notice of her appearance.

"You're soaking wet. Come on, let's go get cleaned up." I smiled at her. She looked up and smiled in return. We left the garage after that, Katrina went to take a shower and I set up things for a horror movie night.

It was raining. So, why not?

After Trina--ahem, I mean, Katrina, finished, I made the popcorn and we both sat and started the movie. I was glad to have my older sister back. My real older sister back.

By the time we were half way through the movie, Laney was already leaving my mind.

------------------------------------------------

Laney: . . . . Yeah, I'm just gonna go. . .

Kin: Sorry, man--I mean, dude. . et?

Me: Kin just. . . no

Larry: This is going to take a while.

Me: You're right there.

*Garage door closes*

*Re-opens*

Me: Oh, and I forgot one thing.

Corey: What?--

Me: Sorry, I know two mouths without results, I'm a horrible person--

Larry: Drrraammmmaaaa quuuueeeen---

Me: Larry!

*Door closes.*
