Surprise!... or not

A/N okay, hi everyone! Sorry that I didn't updating lately, I've just been working on my other story's; "A Curse That Just Might Work" and "No Path Back - Jack and Hiccup" so please read them if you can and I hope that you enjoy the rest of this story, bye ^^

Corey's POV

Laney just stands there, looking at me confused. She starts to walk around the garage, looking at all the decorations and then walks into the kitchen and stares at the food that Kin started to make and may I add, hasn't finished. She comes up to me and I start to smile awkwardly. It was silent, Kon and I look at each other until  Laney starts to burst out laughing, she falls to the floor continuing on laughing as Kon and I watch confused. She rolls around still laughing.

"You guys are so weird" Laney says still laughing

Kon and I look at each other and then back at Laney.

"Hey don't judge us to hard" Kon wines

Laney wipes a tear out of her eye, from all of her laughter.

"Not like that guys" she said while walking up to us and patting us on the shoulder

"I didn't mean that I didn't like what you guys did for me, it's just that my birthday was last week" Laney confirms

My jaw drops as I drop Kon to the ground as well.

"You mean to tell us that we did all of this for nothing?" I ask Laney

Laney closes her eyes, crosses her arms and simply nods. I bring my jaw back to my mouth and fall backwards onto the ground. Kon brings himself back up and sits on the ground, while rubbing the back of his head.

"But Laney, why didn't you tell us?" Kon asks

Laney sighs, she gives herself a face palm and slides her hand down off her face.

"I did tell you guys, but you guys were all to busy doing space projects or other stuff to listen to me" Laney answers and puts her hand on her hip

"Oh" Kon replies, while scratching the back of his head

I sit back and look at Laney, she look at me and starts to giggle.

"What is it?" I ask

Laney points her hand towards my head and continues to giggle and Kon joins in. I look up to see that my beanie had fallen off my head and that there was a small little lizard on my head. Laney comes over and gets it off of my head and stares at it.

"That's strange, this looks like... Why are you here?" Laney whispers

I stand up and start to scratch the back of my head and then put my beanie back onto my head.

"What was that, Laney?" I ask

She friezes and turns around to face me, her eyes widen a bit.

"Oh what? I didn't say anything, Core" she says, trying to change the subject

"But you just said-" I was cut off by Laney's phone

Laney's phone rings in her pocket as she quickly grabs it. She unfolds it and puts it to her ear. I wonder who it is? She turns around and heads just outside the garage door. I hear her say "yes, mum" just as she leaves the garage. Kon stands back up, and comes over and stands next to me.

"I wonder what that was about?" Kon asks

"I don't know" I answer

Laney let's out a loud sigh of annoyance and walks into the garage, putting her phone back into her pocket.

"Sorry guys, but I have to go" Laney says as she turns around

"Go where?" Kon asked

Laney turns around, obviously looking really annoyed, and sighs.

"My mum wants me to go home. So see ya" she answers

Laney turns and runs out the door. We hear her shout "I'll be here for practice tomorrow, okay!" Just as she leaves the yard.

"Well that was strange" Kon say as he crosses his arms

"Agreed" I say back

I just as we finished Kin comes in, running out breath, was he running?

"Kin!!!" Kon shouts out and runs up to Kin, and hugs him

Kon drops Kin onto the ground and Kin rubs his head.

"Good to see you too, bro" Kin says

"What a minute, kin weren't you at Laney's house?" I ask

Kin's eyes slowly roll up to look at me, and he quickly stands up.

"I was at Laney's house" kin answers

I look at him, knowing that he was lying, as he stands and crosses his arms.

"No you weren't, Laney was just here" I say back

Kin'sPOV

"No you weren't, Laney was just here" Corey snaps back

My eyes open, as I look around for something so I can change the subject. I look at a ball, the couch, until my eyes go over an apple, properly eaten by Kon.

"I was at Laney's but before I got there, someone was selling candy apples and I bought one, and by the time that I got to Laney's house, she had already left, so I came here" I answer, just saving my butt

"Oh, well that properly explains the half eaten apple that you have in your hand" Corey replies and looks at my hand

Okay, I lied about going to Laney's house, but the candy apple part was totally true. I take a bite out of my candy apple and sigh with delight from the yummy taste I got from it. Kon quickly shouted "CANDY APPLE" and grabbed it out of my hand before I could take another bite. I didn't mind though, we're twins after all.

"Do you guys know why Laney left?" Corey asked

"nope" I answered

"Didn't her mum call her or something?" Kon asked with a apple in his mouth

"properly, and all of our party stuff was for nothing" Corey said

"True, but now the new mystery is why she had to go home, I mean we still could of had a party" Kon whined

"yeah, but I guess that we can just ask her tomorrow, right now we have to clean up all of the party stuff" Corey said and looked around the garage

"yeah, you're right" I answered

A/N: Hey guys, sorry that I didn't update! I'm really, really sorry!! Anyway, I'm going on a camp tomorrow so I won't be able to update for the next week and when I get back I'll try to update because I have a party to go to the day that I get back home, so bye for now guys!!!
