Meeting my NEW cousin?!

Laney's POV

I walked out of the garage and headed home.

'Why did I have to go home now?! We could at least had a small party if my mum didn't have to call!'

I continued walking home, a bit annoyed, until I got to the door step. I sighed and then knocked on the door. I waited a couple of minutes before the handle turned, and the door opened.

"Yes?-- Oh Laney, you're home" I thought that mum or dad would of opened the door but instead it was Larry.

I looked at him confused. "Larry? What are you doing home?" I asked him.

He sighed and opened up the door a bit wider so I could walk in. "Long story, come inside" He answered and moved to the side so I could come in.

I walked in and went down the hall that went into the living room, with Larry behind me. As I walked in, my mum and dad were in side and they were talking but there was another familiar voice as well.

My dad was the first one to notice me come in. "Ahhh, Laney you're home" He said with a cheery tone. "Come in and sit, we want you to meet someone." My mum said after him and patted the spot next to her.

I did what she told me to do and went to sit down. There was another person in the room as well, she was around my age, she had red hair but instead it was long and in a ponytail. Larry came over and sat on the other couch next to the other red headed girl.

"Um... Who is that?" I asked looking over at the girl, with a confused expression.

My mum was the first to answer after some silence. "That's the person we want you to meet." She started "She's Larry's sister" She said in a cheery tone.

My eyes went wide. "Wait, she's my cousin?!" I asked and stood up.

Larry nodded. The girl stood up off her seat and held out her hand. "My name is Abby. And I know that this may be a bit of a shock, but yeah, I am your cousin" She said in a nervous kind of way but smiled.

"But if you're my cousin, then why did I only find out about you now?" I asked and she lowered her hand.

There was silence but then Larry broke it off. "As I said it's a long story" He paused "Remember how our parents use to live in the big city until I was born and then we moved to Peacevill...?" He asked, and I nodded. "Well, the year after that, you were born but the thing is, that was the same year that Abby was born and then my dad got a new Job promotion and had to go back to the city, and my mum wanted to take Abby and I but you were to attached to me so she took Abby with her" He answered. "So, now she came back and now we're all living together again." He said quickly with a smile at the end.

"Alright then. But wait, she's going to be living with us now?" I asked, Larry nodded and so did my mum and dad. I sighed "Is that all you wanted to tell me?" I asked with a bored tone.

"Yeah, pretty much" Larry shrugged. 

"Good" I said bluntly "I'm going back to band practice then" I started to walk out of the house and made my way onto the path way. 

"Wait!" Larry said and stopped me from walking. I turned to him, he was at the door and I was on the path.

"What Larry?" I asked, still with my bored tone.

"Can I tell you something?" He asked. I sighed.

"Fine but make it quick, I've gotta get to practice." I answered. He came down to the path and we started walking.

"It's about this whole family stuff" He paused "I know, that you don't like secrets and all so you properly don't like the idea of just finding out that you have had two cousin's for the past 14 years." He said.
