7: The first basketball practice.
Tiffany heaved out a heavy sigh as she made her way to the kitchen. There she saw her aunt who was busy cooking breakfast. It was Saturday, a day where almost all teenagers spend their time eating, sleeping or do nothing for the whole day. But sadly, this Saturday was there very first practice in basketball for The Golden Acorn Academy's team.
Tiffany sat down on the chair as she watched her newly recovered aunt scurry around the small space. The scent of pancakes was very evident and it made Tiffany grow in hunger. She was dying to eat especially that she wasn't able to eat dinner last night. She was very hungry but also very tired and as soon as she stepped inside her own room, she collapsed on the bed and went straight lay to dreamland.
"Here you go, dear." Lin Hi smiled as she placed the plate full of pancakes in from of Tiffany. "I bet you're hungry. You didn't touched the curry that was inside the fridge last night." Lin Hi said before making another batch of pancakes to herself. "Ah. That was because I was very tired." Tiffany reasoned out as she took a slice on the pancakes.
"Yesterday was your payday, right?" Lin Hi asked as Tiffany hummed in respond. "Manager Kin raised my salary a bit." Tiffany said as Lin Hi nodded. "That's good." Lin Hi smiled while flipping the pancake over.
Tiffany munched the last piece of pancake and made her way towards the kitchen sink to brush her teeth. "Off to so where, dear?" Lin Hi asked, puzzled and shocked to see her niece all dressed up. "Today is the first day of basketball practice, aunt." Tiffany said as she ran out of the kitchen to get her things.
"I'll be going now, aunt. See ya!" Tiffany said, hiding her excitement with a deadpan expression on her face as Lin Hi said, "Don't be late, Tiffany!"
"I won't!" Tiffany yelled as she ran out the apartment.

"That's it, Tiffany." Mina smiled as Tiffany ran towards the other court to shoot the ball. Tiffany threw the ball towards the ring and it made it. "Nice!" Mina clapped her hands as Tiffany took the ball and dribbled it. She felt a weird feeling inside her as soon as she arrived at the open court of the academy. Sure, she always get compliments because of her brains, beauty and talents but it always felt new to her.
It made her happy. (Which was, of course, not a recent feeling of hers.)
Tiffany wiped the sweat on her face as she continued to dribble the ball. And there she saw Nichkhun Travers, who was wearing a wide smile on his face. He was with Trace Stevens.
"Hey, Mina!" Nichkhun yelled as he waved his hands up in the air before running towards the two girls. "Hey there, Tiffany." Nichkhun smiled as Tiffany looked away and gave him a shrug. Nichkhun looked down and heaved out a heavy sigh. He felt disappointed and Tiffany felt this aura and said while walking away, "Hello, Nichkhun."
Nichkhun looked up as he felt himself getting red. Was she not disappointed at all? Nichkhun asked himself as Mina nudged him on the shoulder. "Here comes the others." She said before running towards the strangers.
"What's up, your majesty?" Trace cheekily smiled as he ran towards Tiffany and took the ball from her hands. "Getting all sporty, huh?" Trace teased as Tiffany let out a small grunt. "I see that you had a bad start of the day. You're cranky-"
"I always am." Tiffany answered back before Trace could finish his sentence.
Trace smirked as he dribbled the ball and threw it towards the ring. "I'm glad that you know that." He chuckled before ruffling Tiffany's hair. "HEY, WATCH IT!" Tiffany yelled as he slapped Trace's hand off her hair. "YAH!" Tiffany screamed as she weakly punched Trace at the arm.
