25: "We talk every night."
Days later...
Drake:
How're ya?
Looks like you and my cousin are getting along nowadays.Tiffany:
I'm fine. Well, yeah, he sure is sweet just like what you said.Drake:
'course he is. He takes that sweetness from me (о'∀'о)Tiffany:
Shut up.She let out a laugh before hiding her phone. Tiffany smirked as she walked down the corridor, clutching her books as if she were holding precious gold. It was Monday and half of her classes were already finishedーshe received outstanding marks from their quizzes and not to mention the figure that she and Nichkhun made.
Speaking of him, their date was wrapped up beautifully. A simple dinner inside the Travers' household and after that, Nichkhun drove Tiffany home. The bouquet of pink and white roses which Nichkhun gave were neatly placed in a vase inside her room.
As she turned around the corner, a little girl bumped into her. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" The little girl said, bowing multiple times as she mended her forehead. She looked like a three year-old kid. "It's alright." Tiffany replied, crouching down to meet the girl's gaze. "Where are you going in such a rush?" She asked, staring into her eyesーthey resembled someone's for sure.
"Oh nothing. I was just on my way to meet my father. He must be at the cafeteria." She replied, chuckling after. Tiffany emitted a small smile as she stared at the girl, her eye smile resembled like how her own and rare eye smile was like. It was such a charming sight to her.
"I'm going to give this to my father, unnie." She said, pulling out a strawberry lollipop from her coat. "Oohh. I'm sure your dad would love your present, little one." She replied as the little girl hid it. The girl stared at Tiffany for a moment before breaking her silence. "Funny, you resemble a lot like the girl inside my dad's frame." She said, slowly touching her cheek.
Tiffany raised an eyebrow, her smile fading away as the girl slowly brushed her hand on Tiffany's cheek. The girl's remark caught her a bit off-guard. "But you look prettier than the girl inside the picture though." She added. "O-oh. Why, thank you." She replied, letting out a forced smile.
"Can I ask you what your name is?" Tiffany asked, placing her hand on the girl's shoulder. It couldn't be. She thought. She couldn't be his daughter.
The little girl was about to reply when someone caught her attention.
"See you, unnie." She said, grinning before running away.
Tiffany stood up, licking her lips as she thoughtーher heart was pounding quite fast. Tyler's daughter wouldn't be here, right? She asked herself. If she is his daughter, then where is his wife? She thought, feeling the pain slowly taking control of her heart. Tears were starting to form and she felt mixed emotions.
Meeting the daughter of you past lover. . . wouldn't it hurt you, too?
Slowly walking away, she raised her chin up and fought back the tears. Luckily, the tears disappeared as she continued walking. Soon, she arrived at her designated classroom where half of the room was occupied. She went to the exact same spot where she always sits in each classーthe seat that was two rows away from the front.
