12: White Streak.
Weeks later...
"To all basketball players, starting from next Monday dismissal and all days forward, practices will be held at the open court after dismissal for the preparation of the upcoming Divisions this December. Thank you!" - Mina Kojo
Tiffany yawned as she walked away from the bulletin board. The Divisions are near. She thought while placing her hands at her back. It was now Friday and it was lunch time. The rain had finally stopped and Tiffany felt happy as she made her way towards the rooftop garden.
The wind was blowing hard as Tiffany arrived at the top and she made sure that her skirt wouldn't go up. She quietly made her way at the rose patch and was surprised to see her rose having two petals lying on the dirt. Tiffany furrowed her eyebrows and took the two petals.
It lost two petals. Tiffany thought.
"You saw it too, huh?" Nichkhun's voice rang at Tiffany's ear as she felt her heart stopped beating. "I saw the petals falling the night you were ambushed by Cassidy." Nichkhun said as he went to Tiffany's side, seeing her roll her eyes as she asked, "And what does that suppose to mean?"
"Don't you think that it's a bit weird? A rose that's emotionless would just lose two petals?" He asked as Tiffany smirked. "Nothing's weird with loosing two petals, Travers. It's natural." She said while throwing the petals on the trash bin.
Nichkhun sighed as she stared at Tiffany's hand, seeing two cuts on her palm.
"And that was two days ago." Tiffany said as she turned herself to look at Nichkhun.
"Hard as ever." Nichkhun mumbled as Tiffany rolled her eyes again. "What are you doing here anyway? Weren't you with Kei, if that's her name." Tiffany said as she took the watering can and poured some water on her rose. "Ah, right. I just wanted to know if you had lunch. My mom gave me two baloney sandwiches and maybe you want to have the other." Nichkhun said as Tiffany looked at him and saw him taking out a packed sandwich.
"No thanks, I ate an orange." Tiffany said while watering the rose. "An orange? Really? No wonder why you're skinnyー"
"Shut up. I have a diet plan." Tiffany cut him off before grunting.
Nichkhun sighed as Tiffany snatched the sandwich from his hand. "And I'm not skinny!" She yelled as Nichkhun chuckled. "You're hungry, right? We can eat lunch together." Nichkhun smiled as Tiffany shrugged. "What happened with your I shouldn't have wasted my money for food statement, huh? Go on a diet, Travers. All you do is eat." Tiffany said as Nichkhun chuckled.
"I have a big appetite, you know. And besides, the fat will just burn away when I play." Nichkhun said while rubbing his tummy. Tiffany sighed as she placed the watering can on the sink and decided that it's best to sit down and relax. "So, I heard that the Divisions is near and we have 2 months of training, right?" Nichkhun asked as Tiffany nodded. "I'm a bit perplexed though." Tiffany mumbled as they walked towards the edge of the building, quietly sitting down as they watched the whole campus from above.
"Why? You're like the most best player in the team!" Nichkhun beamed as Tiffany looked down. "That was luck." She said.
"You know, you can leave me right now." Tiffany mumbled as she looked at Nichkhun, who was smiling uncontrollably while gazing at his gangーwho were playing football at the field.
"I think I'll pass." Nichkhun replied as Tiffany rolled her eyes.
"Don't you find me as a boring and expressionless person?" Tiffany asked as she looked down. "No one wants to be friends with me so why bother changing that?" She asked as Nichkhun smiled. "I'm a cold person who doesn't want any companionship from anybody. I always want to be aloneー''
