I've seen this girl called Ana
She's thin, pretty and tall
She has the smallest frame I've ever seen
And not one single flaw
chapter one:
"Ana looks amazing, don't you think?" Gemma asked looking at her with a bit of envy in her eyes. "She's so pretty."
Thin and tall, those were the words that were always used to describe Ana and they were often associated with the word pretty. Ana looked like one of those people that belonged on the cover of Vogue. Many people wanted to be like her and I was one of them.
"Look at how skinny she is. I would die to be like her." Gemma commented again, her eyes not leaving the figure of the girl. "What does she do to look like that? What does she eat? What's her workout routine? There must be a secret."
I turned around and looked away from her. The more I looked at Ana, the more I wanted to be like her.
"Remember girls" Ana said to the group of girls surrounding her "skinny means perfect."
And those were the words that would haunt me forever...I just didn't know that yet.
(dedicated to ultraviolace because Starved was the first story I've read on wattpad about anorexia and I loved it!)
