Soda's POV

When me and Two-bit got to the hospital I read two chapters of Gone With the Wind. Two-bit complained the whole time that I was boring home to death. But I didn't care. Eventually Two-bit left and then so did I.

While I was walking home I kept thinking about Pony. The way he used to smile whenever Darry or me called him little colt. Or how he could tell what I was feeling even though I wasn't saying anything. He had such great things planned for him. He could have helped people in the future. He was going to be the smart Curtis and go to College.

I'm suddenly called out of my thoughts. "Sodapop!" I hear someone shout and I turn to see Dally running down the street toward me.

"Dally what's wronge?" I ask him when he reaches me. He's panting like he just ran a mile which he probably did.

"Johhny....ran...I-" He stops and leans against a wall obviously trying to catch his breath. "I was just talking to Johnny about Ponyboy. He was saying it was all his fault. That Pone is all his fault. Then I closed my eyes for like two minutes and when I woke up he was gone. I-I can't find him anywhere."

I stay silent for awhile trying to comprehend what Dallas just said. I had been thinking about Ponyboy so much I forgot all about how Johnny felt.

"Did you check his house?" I ask the pale-looking Dally. He shook his head.

"Well maybe he just went back to his house for his things." I try to look on the bright side for Dally's sake. "Why don't we go to his house."

Dally starts walking in the direction of Johnny's house not bothering to say a word. Johnny in a way was Dally's responsibility almost like Pony was me and Darry's responsibility. I don't know what I would do if I lost Ponyboy.

When we got to the house we were surprised to hear no screaming. But when we got to the door we could hear the quiet sobs of Johnny's mother. "You killed 'im. You killed 'im." She kept repeating.

Dally bust open the door with his foot. The sight we saw was shocking. I also screamed and Dally just gasped. The blood was everywhere. All over Johnny's mom and on the carpet by Johnny.

"Oh no." I whispered. After that I ran out of the house fast as I could not bothering to even look back.

"Not Johnny. Not our Johnny." It was so horrible.

I ran through the door of the house and saw Two-bi, Steve, and Darry were there. I ran straight to the bathroom not even bothering to close the door. I spilled my guts into the toliet.

Not Johnny. I thought.

I walked back into the living room and all eyes were on me. I couldn't even look anyone in the eye.

"Soda are you sick? You look white as a ghost." Steve asks. I don't respond not for awhile at least.

"Soda?" Darry asks.

"Johnny was killed. It was so bad Darry. It was so bad. Blood everywhere. Our Johnny." I eventually respond back. Tears finally begin to fall.

Okay that was kinda gross. Sorry this is so rushed. I'm so thankful for all your support on this story. This story for some reason is really hard for me to post on. I've decided to make most of this book I'm the POV of Soda and Ponyboy since Johnny is dead. And next chapter will be back to when Ponyboy first woke up.
