Chapter 6: Dont Say No

Austin POV

"I'm sorry, but do I know you?" Haley asked me.

Wholly shit! I walked into Haley's room knowing everything will be alright and then she says that! She doesn't know who I am! It feels like my heart has been burned and put in a blender. This just can't be real!! I looked at her and then..... She started laughing!?

"Hahahahaha! Oh my god Austin you should have seen your face!" Haley said.

"You know who I am?" I asked? By now tears were running down my face as I was trying to process everything. She was pranking me? Oh my god!!!

"Oh my god Haley!! Don't ever do that to me again!!" I yelled. I ran to her and engulfed her in a hug. I couldn't take it. I had to have her in my arms. I still had tears running down my face. I sat up and saw that Bree was laughing at Haley and Trevor and Jordan were actually on the floor laughing. I didn't care. I was just glad she knew who I was and that she was ok.

"So where is Aly?" Haley asked us. Everyone froze. Bree turned to Trevor and started to cry into his chest as Jordan ran out of the room. I looked at Haley and saw the fear in her eyes. I just couldn't bring myself to to tell her because I didn't want to hurt her. She looked to Trevor wanting an answer.

"She ran." Trevor said barley above a whisper. Those two words explained everything to her. I saw a tear slip from Haley's eye. I walked back over to her and sat down next to her. Haley hesitated at first but leaned into me trying to hold back her tears...

Haley POV

It's been about a day since I woke up and now I get to go home today. Bree and Trevor have been here the whole time and Jordan and Austin were here yesterday. I made them go home last night and told them if they didn't then I wouldn't go to sleep. I have noticed that Jordan has not been himself. He is really quiet and keeps to himself. Bree and I know that he has liked Aly a long time now. We tried to tell Aly one time but she did everything she could to deny it. I can tell its hurting Jordan that Aly is missing.

"Haley are you ready to go?" I heard Bree ask as she walked into my room.

"Yah. Lets go. I want to get out of this room." I said. I was so tired of the hospital. I wanted to sleep in my own bed. Well, actually my bed at Aly and Bree's house. Bree had asked me yesterday if I wanted them to call my parents about what happened, but I didn't want them to know how it happened. Aly's dad just took care of everything for me. I got up and walked with Bree and Trevor out to the car.

"Hi there Miss Martin. It's good to see you up and moving again" Gilbert said with a warm smile.

"Thank you Gilbert. It feels great to be walking around and be outside." I told him with a huge grin on my face. It did feel great to be outside. We got in the car and drove to Bree's house. When we got there we walked inside to find Jordan and Austin sitting at the kitchen counter.

"I'm going to go put my bag in my room. I will be down in a few minutes Bree." I said. I notice Jordan whisper something to Austin and it made me wonder what they were talking about. I went to turn when I heard Austin speak up.

"I will walk with Haley. There was something I wanted to talk to you about." He said. We walked up stairs to my room. He opened the door for me and I went and sat on my bed.

"So you said you wanted to talk to me about something?" I asked him. He came and sat down by me and looked very nervous. He looked so cute when he was nervous.

"I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me?" He spit out really fast. I was so shocked! Did he just ask me out? Like to be his girlfriend?

"Austin I don't know what to say? I thought since I was in the hospital you were just being nice to me? I mean you have barley talked to me in two years." I told him.

"I know that. When I asked you out in 6th grade and you turned me down it broke me. I liked you so much and I still do. I thought being with other girls would make my feelings go away, but it just made them stronger. I can't take it anymore. I lost my best friend four years ago because I was stupid and let my pride get in the way, but I want my best friend back. I can't live pretending that I don't have feelings for you. So, will you please do me the honor and be my girlfriend?" Austin told me. I was to shocked to speak.

"Please don't say no" he said. I laughed when he said that. He was so cute when he was nervous.

"You already left me once. I will give you another chance, so I guess my answer would be yes. But if you leave me again there won't be anymore chances, so don't mess up." I said with the biggest smile on my face! Austin was mine! I finally had him all to myself! Austin scooted over and wrapped me in a hug. It felt so good to be in his arms.

"I will never leave again Haley. I promise." He told me.

"Good. Now all we have to do is get Jordan and Aly together!" I squealed.

"You noticed that to! Few! I thought I was the only one!" He said. The rest of the night we layed on my bed talking about where Aly might be and how to get her to see that Jordan likes her...
