February 4-So I'm going to the EXO concert. Wow! I couldn't believe it. I thought I missed my opportunity, smiling ear to ear. Replaying how it all went down. Then it hit me that I'm acting like an obsessive fangirl. Which brought me back to reality. How did he know where I lived? That info isn't listed and I never told him. It's only one way to find out and that's straight from the source. Just then I heard my phone. Was it him? I scrambled to find my phone and it stops ringing. "Shit, where is my phone!" It starts ringing again and I finally find it under the seat cushions of my couch. I didn't even bother to look and see who was calling. "Hello."

"Mo, its Michelle" a little disappointed and feeling a little silly thinking D.O. was calling me. But I was glad it was Michelle. "What's up girl?"

"I'm a block away from your building, can I come up?"

"Sure you can." "Is anything wrong?" It's not like Michelle to drop by without calling ahead. My work schedule can be crazy at times.
"I'll talk with you when I get there."

I open the door and there she stood. Chanel Michelle. She came from money. Her dad owns a Fortune 500 company. She was always styled, from her hair to her perfectly manicured feet. We meet at a Syracuse basketball game. Her boyfriend was the star of the team and she was sitting in front of me. A couple of girls sitting next to me were making fun of her. Loud enough for everyone to hear. If you can imagine Beyoncé in the back of the car in the 'Upgrade U' video, that was her. Big side braid and dress all in Chanel. Now Michelle maybe this prissy, rich girl, but she was no one's bitch. When she let those girls have it, there's was nothing left to say. I was very impressed. I had to introduce myself. "Hi, I'm Monica." We've been the best of friends since.

"Ahhh, Chanel Michelle" I screamed as we embraced.
"Coke Cola Mo!" A nickname my ex-gave me, I hated it.
"You look good," I said, looking her up and down. Yep, hair whipped and I'm sure her feet were perfectly manicured.
"Good?" "I look great!" she said and we both laughed.
"So what brings you out this way?" I asked. "Is Everything ok?"
"I miss you Mo."
 "I miss you too."
"I just needed to get out of the house. I need to have some fun. What are you doing this weekend?"
"And Ari?"
"She's with her grandmother and Derek is on a business trip."
"I do have an event Friday, but it's work-related." I felt bad lying to her. I love this chic, but at times she can be too much, even for a girl like me from Queens."How about we go out for dinner and drinks Saturday?" I suggested.
"And maybe back to the 40/40 Club?" I looked surprised. "You can't get us in?" she asked looking through my fridge and cabinets. "You really should keep food in the house, just in case you have visitors."
"For unexpected visitors?" I said pointing to her.
"So, you didn't answer my question."
Actually I was offended by the question. "Of course I can get us in Million Dollar Baby." We both laughed.
"I sure have missed you Mo." We spent the afternoon catching up, laughing, and enjoying each other's company. When it was time for her to go, we said our goodbye's. I have to admit it, I missed her too.

I just remembered that I had a missed call and Michelle didn't mention calling and me not picking up. I looked at my phone and there was a voicemail. "I know it's last minute, but I have a couple of free hours, would you like to join me for lunch?" Immediately I knew it was D.O. "this is my personal number, please give me a callback." I looked at the time of the VM 1:23. It was now almost 4:30. Well, its too late to have lunch, but I should at the least call back and respond. Maybe I shouldn't, he did say he had a couple of free hours, he's probably busy now. I don't want to disturb him. He probably wouldn't answer the phone. Yea, I'll just leave him a message explaining why I hadn't returned his call. I got comfortable on my couch, turned the TV on, volume low, thinking about exactly what I'm going to say. The last thing I want to do is sound stupid on his voicemail. Hey D.O. it's Monica. I'm sorry I missed your call earlier. When you get a moment, please return my call. Please return my call? Does that sound thirsty? Ok, Monica stop freaking out, trying to calm myself. Breathe. I am an educated woman whose radio show has the highest ratings of any show in New York. I talk to all kinds of people on a daily basis. So why am I finding it hard to return a simple phone call? I sit back down on the couch, take a deep breath and hit the redial button. It rings twice before it picks up. "Annyeonghaseyo" I knew immediately it wasn't him and hung up. "I can't believe I just done that." I was not prepared for someone else to answer his phone, but it makes perfect sense if he's busy. "Shit!" Why didn't I think of that possibility? It was probably one of his managers and now D.O. will know I called and hung up. What was I thinking? Obviously, I wasn't thinking. "Ok, I can salvage this." It was a bad connection and we got disconnected. Just call back like nothing happened. "Annyeonghaseyo" before I could respond, I could hear raised voices speaking in a language I couldn't understand and the phone hung up. "I'm going to try this one more time." "The person you're trying to reach is no longer accepting incoming calls" is what the recording said. "What?! This is way too much and I'm not calling back. Maybe he won't see me tomorrow at the concert." I smile as I'm now looking through take-out menus, knowing that I will be at the concert tomorrow. How could I not, its EXO after all.
