It's Now or Never

Thunder

The next morning Sehun wakes up and Monica isn't beside him. He calls out her name but doesn't get a response. He sees a note on the nightstand.-I had to be at work. Went home to shower and change. Last night was wonderful. Get plenty of rest and nourishment. I will see you tonight.-M

Sehun laid back down on the bed and replayed everything that happened. He could still smell her on him. He couldn't help but think how good it felt to be with her. His appetite for her was insatiable, he couldn't get enough. He finally washes her smell off him and orders room service.

Beth arrives back in Korea. She drops her bags off at home and heads to the dorm to see Suho. Beth walks in on a heated argument. Apparently D.O. found out that Sehun traveled to New York with Beth and didn't return with her. D.O. sees Beth and asks, "Why didn't he come back with you?"
"You don't have to answer him," Suho tells her.
"No I want to answer his question, but only if he answers mine in return. Agreed?" He agrees.
"I feel I can say this without betraying anyone. Sehun went to New York and is currently in New York for one reason and one reason only, Monica. But you already knew that. To be frank, I feel you got over Monica and he didn't" she tell him.
"Beth, stop!" Suho interrupts
"No, let her finish," D.O. says.
"You're publicly dating and he has been laying around the house, missing her. He gave her up so that she could be happy with you, despite how much pain it caused him. You may not want to hear this, but he loves her and he isn't going to let anything or anyone stand in his way. So my question is, why do you care?"
D.O. is tired of explaining his decisions to everyone, his parents, the other members, press, and now Beth. It was too much and he tells her "I don't care" and walks out the door.

The rest of the week, Monica and Sehun are inseparable. When she isn't working, all her time and energy is put into Sehun. The day finally comes for Sehun to go back to Korea. They both have been dreading this day. Sehun doesn't want to leave but has obligations that he needs to tend to. He also knew by speaking with Suho, about D.O. blow up. He knew he had to deal with that and put it to rest if he and Monica would have a chance of staying together. Sehun tells Monica what happened with D.O. and assures her that he will handle things diplomatically and anything else that comes up. Monica worries are put to ease. She knows Sehun is a good man. His intentions are good and aren't easily angered.

Monica takes Sehun to the airport. They are saying their goodbyes.
"I'm going to miss you," she tells Sehun.
"I'm going to miss you too, but soon you will be living in Korea. It's going to go by fast and we will talk every day," he tells her.
"I know, you're right. She kisses Sehun and he boards the plane. As she watches the plane take off tears rolls down her cheek. She knew she loved him and couldn't wait to be with him again.

For the first time, Sehun wasn't looking forward to going back to his schedule. He also knew he had to deal with D.O. and management. He promised Monica that no matter what happened, that he would tell her everything and that they would make decisions about their future together.

Sehun arrives at the dorm around 1:00 am. He is careful not to make noise. He doesn't want to disturb anyone's sleep. Exhausted from the trip, he goes right to his room to sleep, but not before he texts Monica to let her know he has arrived safely.

There was nothing on the schedule for the day, Sehun decides to sleep in. Sehun wakes up to the guys talking. He hears Suho telling them to keep it down. Sehun has a good idea of what their conversation is about. He doesn't rush to join in. Instead, he takes a shower, puts his clothes on for the day and makes a phone call. He goes downstairs and sees all of them gathered in the living room and he turns to go in the kitchen. He wasn't going to face that crowd on an empty stomach. Suho walks in the kitchen to speak with Sehun.

"It's good to have you back. The guys would like to speak with you."
"Ok, hey Suho, thanks."

Sehun walks into the living area and says, "what's up guys?"
He notices that D.O. is sitting on the end of the sofa in between Kai and Chanyeol.
"We would like to talk with you," Suho says
"Before you get started, let me say this. I'm spoken with management and as far as they are concerned, as long as it doesn't affect EXO, they don't see an issue with my current relationship. They just ask as with any relationship that we're in, to be discreet."

"So you are in a relationship?" Chanyeol asks.
"Yes, I am, with Monica." He tells them
"So the two of you are a couple?" D.O. ask
"I don't see what's the big deal. She's a part of my life and I'm a part of hers. I shouldn't have to explain or justify anything and neither should she. When she is around, I expect her to be treated with kindness and respect."
"Of course we will, but it's not like we're going to see her often," Chanyeol says.
"That's not exactly true" Sehun says.
"What do you mean by that?" Kai ask.
"Monica has been offered a job here at the radio station and she has decided to take it"
"What?! She's moving to Korea?" D.O. exclaims
"Yes she is, in May," Sehun tells him.
"So if anyone is going to have a problem with me bringing her around, please speak up now. I know it may seem somewhat awkward at first, but that should fade. If not, we will do our own thing away from the group."
"I don't see it being a problem. Does anyone have a problem with it?" Suho ask
No one says anything.
"What about you D.O. are you going to have a problem with Monica being around... with me?" Sehun asks.
"Fellows, could you give Sehun and me a minute alone?" D.O. ask
"Is that ok with you Sehun?" Suho ask
"It's fine" Sehun responds.

"You and Monica, interesting. So she's taking the position here to be near you?"

"Actually she's taking the position because it is a great opportunity, she loves it here, and as far as I'm concerned, just a bonus. She was offered the job back in January. She had plans to tell you, but the movie offer came along. Always thinking of others, she didn't want to interrupt your life."

"She still cares about me," D.O. says

"I'm sure she does and she never wants to hurt the people she cares about. One of the things I like most about her. She sought out advice from the people who love her and decided that she was going to take the job"

"If she still cares about me, wouldn't that make you the rebound guy? What happens when she see me again? You're going to be back where you were previously."

"Do you think so? You can think what you want. I know the truth."

"Ok, then answer me this question, did she tell you she loves you?"

Sehun is quiet, "No she hasn't"
"Maybe because she doesn't," D.O. says and walks away.
